Nice Bike brother. I have an old 1400 I'm removing the seat and backrest. Also getting rid of that big chrome passenger bar. So far so good on yours. I'd wondered what it looks like under those covers. Thanks!
I have a 93 Suzuki Intruder VS 800 and I’m looking to remove the sissy bar but keep the passenger seat. What did you use to reattach the passenger bars to the rear fender without the sissy bar in the gap? Thank you!
@@jamesanderson562 I just saw the comments. I found a spacer kit online but did not have the money to buy so I used a couple of cheap sockets to use as the spacers.

I feel like i could sit a little bit further back than I was originally. I also felt like it was more comfortable for me. It could use some highway pegs though to stretch out a little more.
Good deal. I’m not to tall I’m 5’8 170 pounds so I don’t feel like I’ll need highway pegs. I was just looking to lower the weight of the bike a little since I’m not use to it but it’s not much weight to take off anyhow haha
I only took them off because the broke. I hit a good sized pothole and the bags were so old the threads busted on them. I plan to try and fix them somehow..
Not to sound rude but you look like a bigger guy and I was wondering what is the top speed you hit? I was looking to get one and I ride the highway a lot and I was wondering if it’ll keep up. Thanks!
I'm about 215 and I've done 75-80 easy. For some reason people get the misconception that 800cc bike can't do highway speeds. It can handle them with no problem. Passing, not a problem either. If you're looking to get one I say do it. This is my first bike and I have yet to be disappointed by the performance.
I’m about 5’10” 145 pounds and with an extra rider close to my weight on the back, my 02 model does just fine for highways. I will say I can tell it’s enough weight with two people that the acceleration is noticeably slower though. Still quick enough to make sure the girls have a good time on the back though :)

Did you ever figure out how to do it? I’m looking to do the same.
Still no answer?

Hey bud, So how was the ride after you took it off did you feel a big difference?

@@devin7376 it's not enough weight to make a difference, in my opinion anyway. I wouldn't worry about it.
Are you leaving those saddle bags off

There cheap on amazon and eBay.

William Handford thank you so much!
@@DanielMartinez-sy1nh No problem man. Hope it helps.

Where did you move the electrical stuff to?
There was room under the riders seat to put it.
Where did you put all the cables and ecu?
