It is not only the Philippines suffers from high foods prices. It is worldwide. Firstly, What I am worried about is the bad governance, corruption and political dynasties that dominates the Philippines for many years. Second, the Philippines has no meritocratic system, anyone can run for a spot in the government even those people who do not finish their education can run. Even if you don't have credibility, even if you have a record of corruption, you can still run. Thirdly, Filipinos don't know how to identify worthy candidates, but sadly the majority are not. The worst thing is that they keep voting for the same family to become their public officials. Generation by generation from the President down to Barangay officials, political dynasty is noticeable in the Philippines.
Does political dynasty only occur in the Philippines? Or is it the nature of people in power to have their kin be provided more opportunities to run in politics. Or is it a side effect of voting based on popularity
