A very thorough breakdown of your holiday. Very helpful. Going with my mom next year. Is there a reason why you didn't do any of the paid experiences? X
I hope you have a great time! Yes so we as a family like to go off and do our own thing, mainly due to members of our party having mobility issues and diabetes so regular food and toilet breaks! And we also just like to explore in our own time! But we’re going on a cruise in November and have booked excursions for each port, as the excursions are not too long etc so it sort of depends on the excursions that are offered 😊 I would definitely recommend shore excursions though, as they are usually the best way to see the port with the time you have there! 😊
Thanks for posting a very honest video. It certainly gives a much clearer picture of life on board, especially on the sea days. Were you able to get ice creams and soft drinks in the buffet, or are they chargeable? Having had some rough sea days in the past it was a good reminder for me. Think I'll wait for the airports to improve and have a fly cruise in calmer seas!
Thank you for your comment! Soft drinks are chargeable, and the ice cream is now chargeable too as they have switched to a branded company called Jude’s. Yes it can get very rough sometimes! Yes I agree with you! Just booked a fly-Caribbean so hoping those waters will be calmer 😂😂
One last question, was there any passport checks in the ports? I am travelling with my mum and dad. My dad and I am british citizen whereas mu mum has UK permanent residence card holder. So wondering if there what the immigration criteria is?
Great to see your video. May I ask how much Euros you felt you needed for things like cable car, shuttle bus, trams etc? Unsure how much to take. Also any suggestions for a 10year old?
So we visited 3 ports and took about €200 between us, mainly for food etc but probably didn’t do as much as other people as we like to walk and explore! In terms of the itinerary, it depends on what ports you visit, but usually you’ll be docked at each port from 8-6 ish, and can get off from 9-5 ish! Can depend on weather, guest delays from shore excursions etc but generally 9-5 😊 there is a kids club on board, I can’t say much personally as I haven’t got children, but I know that the clubs are equipped with great stuff for ages 2-17 😊
@@charlockleyvlogs Thanks for your quick response. My child (10) wants to vlog for first time, thought this trip would be good idea. Any tips on vlogging (this will be his 1st attempt).
HI. We were on the same cruise, so its really nice to see an honest video about it. It was our 1st cruise and the bay of biscay crossing was horrendous but it was funny watching everyone walking like they'd just had 10 pints but still trying to be cool at the same time. We enjoyed it though. Loved spending time in the cafes in the sun at vigo,, lisbon and porto and just unfortunate due to the weather that we had to spend the last 36 ish hours at sea. What was your overall opinion of the full trip as we found it ok, just maybe a litle bit boring on the boat during the sea days.
I thought it was a great week! Yes I agree they need to improve their entertainment I think, as we kept doing the quizzes as there wasn’t much else to do! But we love P&O and will always sail with them! I hope you will continue to cruise now! 😊
@@charlockleyvlogs was the weather ok? We are going on the 3rd September to santander- Vigo - Lisbon - any top tips? Going on ventura! Did you have to get a booster jag?
@@beautifulscotland7443 sadly we had unseasonal weather, which wasn’t great! But I know usually July to September is meant to be nice! And yes you have to be fully vaccinated to cruise with P&O currently 😊
@@charlockleyvlogs that’s great thanks- we have had two jags and a booster! I’ve followed your channel- feel free to follow beautiful Scotland! Your videos are brilliant
Great vid, will be on Ventura in October going to Porto. Love the sunglasses.
We absolutely loved Porto our favorite location when we went to that port as for Lisbon we went on the sightseeing open top tour buses instead

Thanks for this vlog, its helped us understand what our first cruise will be like. Our quiz name is the Losers too.
You’re welcome! I hope you have the best time!

Hi excellent feature 😊
Very good video! Was the shuttle bus in Lisbon free?
Thank you! Yes it is free for guests who booked on the Select Fare, if guests booked on the Saver then it was an extra charge
@charlottelouiselockley1937 thank you for reply. How much was the fare?
@@puspagurung2148 you’re very welcome! I can’t remember exactly but it was around £3 each way for the bus 😊
@@charlockleyvlogs thank you, its not too bad

How long do you get off the boat as the itinerary doesn't give a time frame? Any info would be greatly received.
