I love the finger movement sounds, I've never thought of doing that. It sounds amazing as well as the nail sounds against each other.
"Rebecca" is a great book. Gothic horror melodrama at its finest. I'm a big fan of Daphne Du Maurier. I was actually named after the character of Maxim. Also, if you haven't seen the film Alfred Hitchcock film from 1940, starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine, then I highly recommend it. It's a masterpiece and it won the Academy Award for Best Picture of that year.
