@Soham-s_vlogs The first people with horns following her are the frosting scions/her followers, The ones after that wui salute to her are the fatui, Dottore is on the piano, The scene with the wild hunt might be her whilst fighting or her in the moon gate if rerir is with her, finally the Traveller rescues her and when she lifts them, I think it's her helping them afterwards??
The dove could represent her chasing her destiny/divinity
Turning the wild hunt into doves could be purifying them??

as a fan of ballet her hand movements at the end of the trailer is similar to that of Odette's from the Swan Lake ballet, so I don't know if that ties in to her backstory/lore but everything about this trailer gave me goosebumps (the music at one point even sounded like something straight out of FFXV's repertoire as well - sobbing because FFXV is also one of my favorite games to date) 😭😭❤❤❤❤ may every Columbina wanter become a Columbina haver tomorrow!! good luck everyone!!

What a cool way to explain her background. The first set of mannequins represent the people who revered her as the moon goddess with no regard for her own thoughts or feelings, then the second group represents her time with the Fatui and how she was there for what she could provide to them. Then Dottore, on the piano, takes control of the story and pacing by instigating Rarir and exacerbating the wild hunt, only for the Traveller to arrive - and for the first time, someone is dancing WITH her, not around or against her, and she's no longer chasing after the feather. But they're still dancing to Dottore's tune, and so she finds herself firmly caught by the threads of fate.
NOW THIS IS THE EXACT INTERPRETATION ❤ How I hope the traveler will dance with her in-game😢

Add in the elegance of ballet which is the form of dancing that creates the illusion of gravity through dancers pushing themselves from the floor seemlessly into the air. The way that this trailer contrasts death and rebirth is also fantastic with the contrast of tune and visual symbols.

I just love how everything is so symbolic here, from the ballon’s symbolizing the moons, the doves symbolizing her freedom, the different mannequins (that represents the frost moon scions, fatui harbingers, Dottore, Rerir and the Traveler) to the golden threads at the end symbolizing fate… definitely one of the if not THE best trailer so far
But you have to wonder.. why balloons? Is it simply bc of moon prayer night? Or is it like paimon’s tied like a balloon beyond the sky from that one melusine..

As a fan of ballet dancing, love the way that this interpretive dance conveys her journey and internal struggles through freedom of movement instead of words. The way the dance is choreographed reminded me of the film "Black Swan," in terms of inner conflict and struggles with characters of the traveller, dottore and rerir portrayed through the puppets. Ballet is already the dance that plays around with gravity so love how this is the way that Columbina's elegance is portrayed. This trailer is just simply beautiful and I could not think of a better way to showcase her character and story as the "little dove," of Commedia dell'arte.
For anyone interested, here is my full analysis:
Out of all the genshin trailers and demo's i've seen, this one is the one I have had a the most fun analysing when it comes to depicting Columbina's journey. Love the contrast between this trailer and Furina's demo where both trailers are "a stage performance," yet Columbina and Furina differ in role and purpose. In Furina's, she is the performer and the one who orchestres everything whilst Columbina is the reverse.
From the start of the trailer, she is holding onto the balloons that depict the 3 moon goddesses and then she is born into the world, adorned with the veil. The dance is fantastic since it's depicted as ballet yet it differs from traditional ballet and incorporates conventions of interpretive dance. Similar to ballet, the dance and play is separated into "acts," where Act 1 is her birth.
Act 2 is when she is revered as the moon goddess by the frostmoon scions and no matter where she dances to, she is revered and sought.
Act 3 with the doves threading onto her symbolised control that brought her to the Tsaritsa and the Fatui and how she became a harbinger. The way that the soldiers are saluting her, yet always staying in the shadows depicts her loneliness in the fatui perfectly. She "thought," she found a home but no matter how hard she chases the feather, someone is always blocking her way, restricting her freedom.
Act 4 She escaped the Fatui and made it back to Nod Krai. Notice how the "water," washes over her that commonly symbolises cleansing and purification but the moment it happened, the music shifts and Dottore's puppet is now playing the piano. This conflict between Columbina's music and Dottore's piano control is contrasted perfectly as it now transitions to the act with the wild hunt.
Act 5: The Wild Hunt and the Traveller. The way that Dottore is now playing the piano with Columbina and Rerir now "dancing to his tune," is done so well here which showcases the control he has and how carefully he orchestrated the events of Lunar 1 and 2. The feather then appears again as it now makes its way to the Traveller who saves her from Rerir and "breaks," the music of Dottore's tune and brings back the angelic tune of Columbina's theme.
Act 6: The Traveller and Columbina's pas de deux. As a lover of ballet, this is one of my favourite moments as Traveller and Columbina perform a pas de deux (a step of two) which is a common duet between a female and a male (like the dance from Swan Lake) and overcome the threat of rerir and Dottore's tune momentarily. The way that her eyes open and wings spread out now brings the dance to the Coda with so many leaps and twists that now "purifies," the Rerir clones and the Wild Hunt Threat.
Act 7: The Entrapment. During Act 6, Dottore's piano is still briefly heard in contrast with the angelic music showing his continued control over the events of Nod Krai and the shot of her being held by the golden threads of fate is dazzling since it depicts the momentary escape of fate yet ultimately, succumbs to fate once again. Her hands are moving with the gestures of freedom yet her body and wings are held tightly in place.
Act 8: Death and Rebirth (Epilogue) I Love how they did this act AFTER the title screen to foreshadow the events of Lunar 4. (I won't state too much here until finishing the AQ).
As a lover of ballet, this trailer was breathtaking. I love how they used interpretation dance with ballet techniques to symbolise the escape from tradition. Traditional ballet is riddled with rigid rules and techniques with structures of story already set in stone as fate yet to portray it as interpretive, depicts the freedom to break through the hand with which fate deals. I cannot stress how amazing this trailer is in its contrast of music score and expression of dance without a single word uttered. Sorry for the long wall of text xD

@malaakangel6480 In classic literature, feathers commonly symbolise freedom and spirituality yet it can also represent transformation or guidance of the divine. In terms of white feathers, it commonly symbolises beauty and innocence. In the beginning, she was holding onto the feather after the birds left, you can interpret this as "lost a sense of belonging" and that the feather represents her "home," or "freedom." In the quest, Columbina is frequently looking for a "home," or a place to "belong," like how a feather belongs on a bird." Columbina herself is the "dove," that lost her home and thats why through the whole trailer, she is chasing after it whilst being revered by the frostmoon scions and then confined by the fatui. When Dottore and Rerir enter the composition, she is no longer chasing the feather and is instead, dueting with the traveller against the duo. You can infer this as she has "found her belonging and roots," and the feather then evolves into the full bird just as how Columbina gains her wings and opens her eyes. In the story of Nod Krai, this parallels with how Columbina manifests physically once again with the name Hyposelenia. I am definitely lacking some additional details for sure but thats what the feather seems like to me from a symbolic perspective. Hope it helps haha.

0:16 Columbina's birth is represented here
0:44 From what it looks like this represents her time with the Frostmoon Scions, especially since we see her cast up on strings while being treated like a god
1:00 Seems to represent her time with the Fatui, the hands reaching for her likely show the way the Fatui was trying to use her power
1:32 This is of course representing Dottore, and him playing the piano as it ramps up into the next scene symbolize the way he has been orchestrating all the recent events
1:40 Represents the wild hunt and Rerir attacking Columbina while she tries to escape
1:58 The traveler/all of Columbina's friends seem to be represented as this golden character, and they work alongside her to dispel the wild hunt

The presentation was excellent. Whether it's Columbina, Dottore, the Traveler, or Rerir, I have to admit that this style of presentation makes each character charming, not just Columbina.

This... remains a gorgeous trailer, the interplay of music and dance, how it flows from a obvious intro to the more rigid waltz of the Frostmoon Scions, then a march with the Fatui, and that momentary interlude in Nasha Town.. Before Ill Dottore takes over the tune.
And I can't help but notice that he starts with a false note progression. He plays with a deliberately sharp, false notes as he takes charge, and the tune is noticibly harsher and more dangerous up to the point where the Traveler catches Columbina and hushes the music, but for a moment. And then it's a dance again, sure, with Dottore still playing in the back, but it's muted, but for a moment, as he plays a new fate, wrapping strings around this moment of freedom.
It's gorgeous, tragic and frak me I can't wait till I get off work tomorrow and finally get this patch in my hands.
May Columbina wanters be Columbina havers, and may we turn Dottore in the pavement lotion he deserves to be. Thank you.

@spartakaiserd she's definitely Columbia, her own character but also inspired story wise by Elysia. So she as much as elysia as raiden ei is raiden mei. They are different characters but also come from the same thread because of the hoyoverse. Also most of the characters from honkai 3rd and genshin/ star rail are expys of honkai gakuen characters. If you don't like it the hoyoverse can't hurt you if you ignore it. I play all the hoyo games so i live for it. 😂
