This song is almost completely a 3Racha joint (with longtime collaborator Versachoi) which I think you can hear. It has Tortoise and the Hare vibes in the production. I'm so happy that this is such a Pure SKZ vibe on this OST!

SOMEBODY is 😊 😃 😃 😀 HAPPY. Hope your face is not hurting too much from smiling😊. SKZ just have their own lane/sound. No one can imitate it. It's so unique, so swag, so cool😎. Their energy is off the chain. I am really old, use a cane, but got my tickets, stood outside an arena in L.A. for 2 hours in August of 2022 and saw SKZ in concert because their talent, swag, coolness, energy, and creativity put them on my bucket list. I am blessed to have lived to experience the birth of Rock and Roll and I guess Kpop is gonna see me out. God, I love good music.🎵🎼🎶🎸🎹🥁🎷

This is 3racha all over it with Versachoi which is a great combo. This song is so addictive. I love it so much it fits the movie so well. I love your reaction so much you show your enjoyment and love for the craft. They produced this song so well. I agree I love the that this is very Stray Kids. I am so proud of them.

I won’t lie, the first time I heard it, without lyric video - just audio, I laughed, it tickled my brain, but I couldn’t find a pattern, it felt chaotic, because of all the sound effects and no context, but as soon as I heard it the second time, with lyric video, it all made sense, I heard the patterns and identified sounds and I loved it! Perfect song for the movie, now when I hear it, I have a whole fight choreo going on in my head 😂
I feel like any song meant for Deadpool wouldn't fit without an air of controlled chaos to it
This is easily in my top 5 fav SKZ songs! It is just so good. They released the Stay Week schedule that starts tomorrow and goes through August 1st (Stay Anniversary). They will release the Mountains mv on the 29th and the Stray Kids mv on August 1 😊

100% agree that's this feels both like a Deadpool song and a Stray Kids song. I've been saying this since it released, but I see it from the lyrics pov, so it's cool you see this from the music side. I love this song so much!!! Also the digital cover with the warrior tiger is amazing.

You touched on a thing that really gets to me, which is artists changing their vibe to match a movie and then me being disappointed that their regular stuff sounds different.
I was so PUMPED that this is straight up a SKZ song in every way because now people who are hearing them for the first time can know why I (and you and Stay) all love them so much.
It makes me happy. I hope this continues for other kpop groups with opportunities like this.

Going to see the movie tomorrow! I'm SOOOOO GLAD and not surprised you loved this as much as I did. I've seen other reactions where they seemed a little confused or disappointed. This is absolutely PERFECT. It's not a song for an album....it's an OST for a movie, and not just any movie....DEADPOOL. I can picture it in an action scene, one with some slow motion. Oye.....people!! Ryan is a big fan so no surprise really he allows them to them. It's still going on my playlist. (I know....shocker).

I am OBSESSED with this song. ATE is amazing and there’s so much to say there but this one is just something ELSE, I can’t even really articulate my thoughts on it yet and I’ve been listening to it on repeat since it dropped. Vying for a top spot among favorite SKZ songs (which is *really saying something,* I have a “SKZ faves” playlist that is like six hours long, lol)

They announced today that they are going to drop the mv to Mountains on the 29th and then the m/v to Stray Kids on August 1st (for Stay's birthday). There is also an unnamed m/v dropping on Aug 7th, which might be for Slash. I hope so. This song is so good!

ALSO - irrespective of it being an OST, like you, I genuinely love this song. Lyrics, beat, and every members' delivery just hit in the right way. Pretty sure there is an MV for this, because there is an un-name 'MV' on their agenda [which is not the two they did teasers for]. I hope the MV has scenes from the movie because I swear I can just picture the kinds of scenes different parts of this song would be fire on.

I've never been able to (or really even wanted to) pick a "favorite" Stray Kids song. That was until they released this. It's so them. The dirty beat. The sick rapping. The unique sounds or instruments incorporated. The haunting vocals leading into the soaring vocals (it literally takes my breath away). The onomatopoeia adlibing happening all over. The unpredictable change ups. It's just a masterpiece and it's undeniably Stray Kids. I described it as "The Tortoise and the Hare" on steroids! What can i say? New (and for the first time) favorite song unlocked. 3racha are the GOATS for me here and probably always will be imo.

I love this song and I agree with you that it's better than Chk chk Boom. They are both good songs, but Slash has a very grand sound, it gives you the feeling of an OST. It's extremely smart, they put a lot of effort into the production. It tickles my brain the right way and gives me shivers down the spine. When the pre-pre-chorus starts, it feels ominous. When the pre-chorus starts, you feel pain and pride and rage. And then the chorus drops and you feel unleashed. Only a good song can make you feel it like that.

@@earprg unfortunately, the song isn't in the movie 😭😭 I heard it's just a bit of the instrumental somewhere in the credits. Well, at least it's on the OST and i hope this will make it popular. I feel this could've been used sooo well in a major fight scene or in a trailer. Oh, well.. maybe next time 🙏🙏

I think my brain went on overload from ATE. I listened to Slash once but couldn't fully enjoy it. After hearing it in my good headphones, I'll need this on repeat ngl. Yes, we all agree they can all rap, sing and dance but since debut for the majority of songs Changbin, Han, Hyunjin and Felix were the rap line and while Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, Han and I.N were the vocal line. *Yes, Han x2, since he has been part of both the rap and vocal lines since pre-debut.*
What changed significantly was that after Hyunjin came back from hiatus 3RACHA had him sing almost as much as he raps. It's like they wanted to make sure JYPE understood that it's all 8 of them that make up SKZ. Then it showed even more in Oddinary than it did Noesy. Hyunjin has so many critical parts in songs like Maniac, Venom, Freeze and Lonely St.
I'd say from Maxident on 3RACHA has worked to also let Lee Know, I.N and Felix vocals shine. It's not they didn't have past songs where they were highlighted, I'm just thinking along the lines of title tracks and B-sides with mv. It's funny and sad how Lee Know has always had lines in mv's other than God's Menu but a lot of the time when Lee Know is singing, the scenes in the mv would be focused on other actions or wide shots.
