The Doors! I have listened to the songs of this group more in my life, in May 2022 I was in Paris and I immediately went to Jimi's grave, to tell the truth it was a great feeling, I took pictures until I was satisfied, I waited for the moment when they left the people who had come to visit Jimi's grave and I immediately crossed the fence and took pictures, I was overjoyed, the cemetery was 20 KM from the hotel where I was, the taxi cost me 20 Euros, Greetings from Tirana - Albania.
The Doors and Jim Morrison are like a religion to me. You know how there are songs that are sung as prayers at church? There’s something about The Doors Music that reminds me of gospel. Like I like to listen The End as almost a religious experience. I’ve never taken LSD, but I hope one day to listen to the music under the influence. I have many theories about specific songs, moments and concerts and I’m wondering how I would process them and others under the influence.
The Doors Live At The Hollywood Bowl 1968. 1 When The Music S Over. 2 Alabama Song. 3 Back Door Man. 4 5 I To. 5 Mooondly Drive. 6 Celebration. 7 Celebration Of Lizard. 8 Spagnish Caravan Wake Up. 9 Light My Fire. 10 Undier Soldier. 11 The End.
Meh there is no 'greater than' in my opinion, just preference, It's not a competition. Music is an artform and they all have their place and different styles in music. No doubt The Doors were one of a kind though
Jim was high off LSD 25, Mick Jagger gave it to him when he went to visit him the day off the show. Mick Jagger and Marianne Faithful sat in the front row. True Story. It’s been documented in almost every one of The Doors and Jim Morrison books ever written. 💯💯💯

I was 6 when he died. I never got exposed to his music. My older brothers had all kinds of albums I got to listen to on a good stereo later as a young teen but I recall they never had a doors album. Actually they did bc I'm having a flashback of seeing it amongst their albums. Must have never picked that one out for a listen.
@MeTube hey that's a good way to put it. I often think about that. How these oldies are part of us. However I'm happy I never was someone who seriously 'fanned out' on these artists. I always thought it was almost insanity the way girls mostly went into complete hysteria over these artists. I've always been one to want to know what these stars are like in real life. That's why at times I get into watching documentaries about them. Some are good docs but some not so good.
jimbo and the boys showing the world that they are sheer professionals.jim isnt an out of control idiot smashed all the time!,quite the opposite,7 albums in 5 years and numerous gigs,,love ya jimbo
Yes, ABSOLUTELY!!! I saw them live 3x and this was Jim at his best! His voice is perfect here. My 1st concert was '68? MSG and they had a full orchestra! Jim jumped onstage and immediately went into Touch Me....superb!
I saw them live and Jim always seemed on acid . I also stood next to him and this weird looking dude close to the stage at a Who concert , and his eyes were rolled back in his head. He doe's that thing with his head thrown back, and he kinda scared me ! What really scared me was when my friends threw me up on stage during the Who's "MY GENERATION". Pete charged at me with guitar raised over his head ready to smash me over the head. I fell backwards almost knocking over the monitor .The neck of the guitar flew over my head but I DID NOT CATCH IT. This was at the Shrine in L.A.
@@LetsgoJags yeah but have you ever been to Elvis' Jungle Room? I was there swingin with the king. We partied on placidils and ate peanut butter & banana sandwhiches
Seems Jim never could exist within this 3D world's constrictions for too long. It's impossible to stay here if you're not able to ground yourself in the present.
My mother used to date Morrison back when they started playing in Hollywood, sunset strip, when the clubs would let under-aged people in…the stories she has…
@@Widderic I can’t really re-hash her stories in proper context enough to share on RUclips…my mentioning her stories was meant to express the general nature of her experiences during that time 😏

Wish I could have been alive and able to see them live. So lucky to even have a taste of what I missed.
I know. If I had a time machine it would be The first thing I'd do. I love this band more than words can explain.....
If a person had to listen to only one band, The Doors would be that band for me.
Why, didn't ya just get in ya tardiss "doctor " !! And go back and see this fukin gig, "live " ????!!
Same it's funny a lot of us weren't even born yet when this concert happened
Spectacular all around. J.D, your drumming is superb.

Empezando el año con esta joya 2023 ❤
Just blown away each time I listen to this concert.
It's like a theatrical, spiritual experience. This was not your everyday rock concert

La primera vez que escuché este concierto pensé que mi vinilo había salido malo. Luego solo lo disfruté y lo regalé a un gran amigo.

Since were talking complete BS, I was the one who handed Hendrix the matches and lighter fluid when he lit his guitar on fire.
