The new Porsche 991 GT3 R has not been unveiled yet so for this year we'll see again the Porsche 997 racing in the various GT3 class championships. However the GT3 R MY 2013 features a new uprading kit which includes a new aerodynamic package (a larger rear wings, new splitter and double canards) and new wheel arches which allow the car to ride on larger wheels and tires. The engine is the same 4-liter flat six engine with a total of 500 bhp.

I'm working on a 997 GT3-R for my internship, I can say that the car produces more than 500bhp. In fact we put it on our dynamometer today and the car produces 561 bhp...
This was a new engine (still the same 4.0 liter flat-6), the engine's durability is something about 25 hours...
