Hey d colony got a idea why my trap jaw queen has a elongated gaster now? I noticed this when she had 1 or 2 cocoons is it normal or did I find a new species (which might be wrong) or did I find a health problem

The second queen is the original, because, she is physogastric and I can remember from older episodes the queen had only one wing just like the second queen.

Was a few queen's around today to I already had 12 this year that's enough for me. Very cool setup. Interesting about the food I have only really been using meal worms. So I might try get something different. Have 3 1 year old colony would have expected more growth so maybe it's the same food slowing them down

My first ant colony was messor structor known as harvester ants and they were never covered in the dark and they lived 5 years until i started to cover them so the queen lays more eggs then a wild colony killed them
