Thank you for this! I can imagine how this version could help people who are learning how to sing. It is in a vocal register which is more common, and in singing classes you begin singing something slow to get the gist of the nuances before building up the tempo!
I agree since that's how I practice singing! But what I also noticed is that slowing down songs can accentuate the original emotion in them or uncover a new one. This song in particular just sounds so much more ethereal!

Yeah, I hear what you mean. I also think this slowed down version accentuates the dark and dismal meaning behind the lyrics more than the original. The original almost sounds joyful.
By the way, I learned the technique to first speak or sing a sentence slowly in speech therapy. I still have difficulty articulating when I do it on auto-pilot, but I could probably do some rap for a short while if I concentrate enough.
@@jimmybiemans8264 That sounds great! Speech therapy is awesome! My mom used to perform it with me when I was a kid because I had trouble articulating certain sounds. To this day I'm in awe of how she managed to completely fix my speech without involving a doctor or specialist!

Yeah it is an awesome song and you’ve made it quite spacey. You’ve done more than slowed the tempo - you’ve somehow extracted parts of the accompaniment for example that beautiful bass guitar part of Odd Martin’s at the beginning of the instrumental bit. I love that bit but sadly it’s missing. Overall however you’ve added a new dimension to a great song.
Slowing down songs and adding reverb trashes the quality of lower frequencies. I often have to compress/filter out some of them so they don't sound like pure noise. I agree that it sucks that some parts get left out like that, but that's why I often return to the original version of the song.
I guess I enjoy both depending on the mood
