Beating one's wife seems to be ingrained in many men's mindsets as the appropriate behaviour for a strong male, but the consequences are misery for the wife and children, and often a broken, unhappy home. The concept of domestic violence is based on the notion of patriarchy, which needs to be converted into equality.

My father sometimes beat my mother and abuse vocally but as a witness i know the suffering of my mom and how it feels, i take an oath that i will never ever do this to my future wife and will give her equal respect.
Thanks to the Satyamev jayate team to raise this issue infront of the society, also a appeal to the government to make laws for not only the physical protection but also for the financial protection of a woman.

Too good, I am reviewing these episodes after getting married. Believe me it has given a different view to relationship, personality of individual, rights of women, DNA of patriarchy in middle class.
Men should be taught to cry too, I was born in 1998 and I still remember when I was in school my teachers used to say boys can’t cry, even female teachers used to teach us like this. Not only that in 2017 I came to Canada and after a year I watched Swades and Kabhi khushi kabhi Ghan, both of the movies made me cry cause swades reminded me of India and kkkg reminded me of my parents and my brother. My best friend in college who is girl made fun of me saying “Laakdal ho ke ro raha he”. This episode releases date is 2012 I still believe our people haven’t learned anything!!! It all comes to how our society raises boys and girls, but society hasn’t changed yet. Boys should cry too there’s nothing wrong and nor boys or girls should beat up each other.
Respect for these women who stood for themselves.

Just for us (kids) she is living like a naukraani since 2001 and I'm 23 years old now..... I'm trying to get out of here with her and my siblings.. Hope I'll get success this year..trying best..

I agree with what kamlaji is saying because my mother wakes up at 6 AM and goes to sleep at 12 AM. While my father wakes up at 8 AM and goes to sleep by 10 PM. My mother also rushes home from work so she can cook and do all the other things around the house that are important to make a home feel like a home.

I have come across many cases where these laws have been misused by women. Today when one women visits these days to lawyers for petty issues these people start using all these laws against men. So we need to understand that there is fault at both the ends. Though i am happy with the show because it is representing a problem that exist in the current society but there also needs to spread a word about women misusing these laws.
