Our two and three quarter year old son was absolutely ENGROSSED by this film, today. He's now fully up to speed on the benefits of tapered trailers with air gap ducting; protected rams; double vs single ram systems and the general prowess of Norn Iron trailer manufacturers when it comes to beatin'. One question: When you're unloading at the yard you ever get grumpy old former dissidents refusing to put down their ram arms?
When it comes to single rams versus twin rams, the advantage with a single ram and the reason most tipping lorries and lorry bulkers opt for the single is stability. With a twin ram system the hydraulic oil will always seek to its easiest road, i.e the ram with the least pressure which is the least loaded side of the trailer. On an uneven surface it would increase the likelihood of the trailer rolling when tipping.
great video very nice equipment, off topic, I understand the whole grass to silage thing and that it is turned into a fuel (from what Ive seen) my question is what is the fuel used for is this a way to fuel electrical power plants? Sorry for my ignorance on this Im just curious
Bailey trailers all the way, them bits you were saying grass get stuck on are steps you try getting out of a trailer with out them, twin rams every time there a lot more stable & less stress on every thing,
that chassis on the nc looks very much like my 12 ton easterly root trailer even the springs look similar prefer the back door though in that a easterby there great triangle things in the back so it just rams together
From the first mention that we where having a look at Nicole's back door... I was a mess... Don't do that to me Donkey...i am a bad man! Ha ha Haa 😂😂😂😂
Like the look of the redrock trailer how comes you don’t use smyth fieldmasters all our trailers are anything and we find they hold more than Kane’s 16t and our smallest trailer is 14t up to 16t
Nice machine line up. It's about diverse as ours because we're in position let our staff pick what make and model machine they prefer. If they in machine they enjoy operating the most the better the work they produce? Simple
I struggle to understand why contractors go for a full fleet of well spec'd trailers. I think i'd be running 3 Johnstons/Donnellys and then 2 good strong halfpipe type trailers with hyrdaulic back door allowing for grain carting, drawing pit silage in the winter and dung etc. No need for a full fleet of expensive trailers, even for the men that are lifting big acres.
I understand what your saying, but very often people like to have the best tools for their trade, with herron or kane you know they're a good trailer and in most cases not that far away for manufacturing back up plus you know they can handle a good few seasons of hard use
Will6220 Case No way, why the hell would men from Northern Ireland want an english built trailer. We are engineers and have more firms in our we country than your whole country
I drove silage trailer for years the 14-16 ton trailer comes in single and double ram versions but the single ram versions are way more dangerous on hilly terrain other contractors will say the same, the double ram is more solid👍👍
Like every John Deere/New Holland man, you're obviously going to have a grudge against Massey Fergusons. Dont say that Masseys are bad because their not. The Massey will end up having more hours than the New Holland will.
Hi you probably won't see this but I missed out on the signed card but my friend got one and I was wondering if you could maybe give one to me because my life is grassmen🐓🐓🐏🐏🐄🐄
*Absolutely enjoying the JD 7810!*

I like the two ram better, more stable and the stress is more spread out on the box.

Hi grassies ! I'm a farmer from kilkenny
Farmer James Agri 2 Most people from Kilkenny are!
10:40 I have never seen or heard of chains getting caught on any of them Johnstones. You would have to be a very bad driver.
Hi
Next season....fleet of Smyth's and Broughan's. A fleet of timber trailers and old school tractors wood be mint (preferably all fords😅)
We have a 16 tone nc trailer but blue and yellow
Nice machine line up. It's about diverse as ours because we're in position let our staff pick what make and model machine they prefer. If they in machine they enjoy operating the most the better the work they produce? Simple
Do you charge for the ploughing or do you throw it in for free?! 😂
Farmer Lamb only thing the farmer has to pay for is the yellow pipe. Rest is all part of the service. Welcome to sunny Northern Ireland.

ilove grassmen with tw35
That twin underbody hoist isnt a good idea I reckon
If the silage is unevenly chopped into the back 1 ram could bind up that's my only issue

Why no real silage trailers ? That push out in stead of tip ? That is less dangeroes on the silo and most of them have traction!
