- Longer video showing The Marshall Steam Team fire up one of two live steam locos on property in preparation for a "Steamin Summer Camp".
402 is an Alco style 7.5 in gauge Little Engines prototype built by Martin Lewis and Finished by Tom Marshall in 1961. After realizing his little railroad would need a second engine to keep with demand, Tom Marshall purchased the sister engine to 401 after the owners death and Tom and his father began to complete the half finished locomotive. Due to it coming to the property somewhat complete, it has less Stanley Steamer parts then 401 and is usually a better runner. It ran for the first time during the 1961 season and has been enthralling guests ever since.
The modern version of the plans and castings can be found here:

Special thank you’s to the Marshall Steam Museum for letting me film, and Hyce for letting me use "The Soundtrack Formerly From RAILROADS Online!"
Filmed entirely using a GoPro Hero 4, weirdly attached to my overalls.

@@NewEnglandrailfanerguy yep it’s totally me micheal Jackson I js rlly love choo choos
Did bro really eat the coal💀
He would quickly die, probably just broke it on half and chucked the second bit during a cut
@@bobbymckechnie7572I know he didn’t eat it so thinking he snapped it in half is pretty smart
i mean its not gonna hurt ya as long as you don't swallow any but yeah pretty sure he just lifted it up and snapped it in two
Dang, i wish i have that at outside of my house.
Same
its a museum but some people do have live steam layouts at their house
belle machine 👍 un bonjour de France
I used to be really into trains and I’m not so much anymore but this video makes me want to go work on my layout again
Hey the Marshall steam museum
So, just to ask, if i want to start my own miniature gauge railway, how would I start?
Couple major things to consider is what gauge you want to run, the amount of money you have, and the size of the stock you want to run.
Another thing what is generally useful with miniature railways is knowledge in engineering so you can make parts and fix bits on Locos on Stock. Hope this helps :)
And don’t be too ambitious. Start small, then expand when you are confident.
Maybe put the camera on your hat, as opposed to your chest? We end up seeing just your knees, and coal pile most all of the video.
ofcourse its the hyce music
Make this a series
I saw the thermic ciphens and I got happy, I saw you eat coal then I got converned
Cool
