    Sir please explain , what's the difference between coil with n number of turns and a solenoid ?

    • @vaibhavmourya65
      @vaibhavmourya65 5 лет назад +2

      its like a spring completly compressed at its max and it come in a plane and the top view will be same as that of coil with n turns whereas a solenoid can be related as side view of a free sprig . i hope so its clear now

    sir R these concept like ( measurement of dip , appearent dip ) are important or not for mains

    • @physicsgalaxyworld
      @physicsgalaxyworld  8 лет назад +4

      Yes these are useful for JEE Mains... not for JEE advanced...

    sir you said that the needle points towards the magnetic north but how, according to me it should point toward the geographic north then only the compass can give the actual direction ......

    Good evening
    Sir, from this device we will only get the value of horizontal component of earth's magnetic field. How we will be able to determine the dip angle and hence the net magnetic field at that point?

    • @DS-Pakaemon
      @DS-Pakaemon 7 лет назад +1

      Ujjawal Rathore It would be harder. We would need a more sophisticated instrument that can be calibrated in the vertical direction too. Oh wait, I think it's harder than that too😂

    • @yogeshteltia4758
      @yogeshteltia4758 7 лет назад

      Maybe we can use the longitudes and latitudes and then i guess we can get then it will be easy angle of dip easily

    • @utkarshmunshi1658
      @utkarshmunshi1658 2 года назад

      From dip circle we will find angle of dip, and then Bv

    Why doesnot needle remain in direction of of net magentic feild why in Horizatal component only? Please answer

    • @nibbacheese5109
      @nibbacheese5109 3 года назад +2

      Because it is allowed to move only in horizontal plane. If it were suspended freely in the air, then it would have pointed towards the direction of net magnetic field.
