The cop followed us around.. which was great since we don't wanna die LOL - we were like "YES!!! now we can go anywhere with a private escort.." than we entered this one spot where even the cops was like.. ight.. you can go now LOL
Edwina Hughes I appreciate your drive for more information and details but I can only do so much. Editing videos is a very time consuming endeavor if i dedicate all my time to that that there would be no time for other things. I just moved we still got bedrooms to paint, floors to install and things to fix so we just have to be happy with what i can do
The first project is Gibbs Village. The one getting demolished is Smiley Court, my older brother was killed out there in 2008.The third one is called Cleveland Court it on Rosa Parks Ave and Rosa Parks Actually had an apartment out there. The last one is Patterson Court right behind Alabama State University ASU all very dangerous Projects.
Annette Haas its government housing for poor people. Usually these places are extremely dangerous and conditions are bad. I asure you people have been murdered in each one of these complexes. These are the most dangerous spots in any city because the residents dont work. Many times the government gives housing to elderly people but family members move in and these places can be very scary at times.
At 8:00 most of the cars look ok. At 11:00 I see a window unit airconditoner. 11:30 seems kind of nice for housing project. Then at 12:00 some tough properties that do have window units for air conditioning. Jose, this video is interesting. Thank you for posting; We miss you in Florida, however Alabama is also a good location for vlog. Outside clothes hangers are noteworthy.
just think, window units and no washer or dryer. thats is some serious poverty for USA in 2020. There have been 43 murders so far this year. That is not good, the city is literally a warzone at night
SOUTHERN HOOD VLOGS ...what kinda law enforcements does Alabama have? If people deal with drugs or commit crimes, they don’t belong in a community! But than again, I drove through our rough area to get to a shopping mall and saw someone, that I knew had been convicted of human trafficking...didn’t spend much time in jail..I guess!
@@ERNIE555 If anything I was more afraid of POLICE than gangsters out there they are HARSH and intimidating but with so many murderers on the lose.. they have to be i guess.
Montgomery is a very rough place. That place can get extra extra dangerous at night. All the gang bangers are sleep during the time you rode thru. Those cops in Alabama get suspicious when they see outta town tags lol. They think you bringing da dope in.
They have already torn down a bunch of projects in my Montgomery Alabama from Young fort village / smiley Court / Riverside Tulane Court / Trenton Court. But kept Gibbs village and Cleveland. Court.

The "abandoned housing projects" behind the wall and closed gate was actually Maxwell Heights, a military housing area for the USAF (Maxwell AFB).
umm.. you know its weird how many old military housing ends up being projects latter on. todays military housing, tomorrows hoods..
Thats correct, we lived there from 70-74
@@customchris07 We were stationed at Maxwell 72-74 & 78-87. Moved back to Montgomery in 1992, but we are moving to Auburn next month.
And I bet it's hard to find affordable housing in Montgomery.
Is that the one next to Maxwell AF base?
These places are still better than being homeless
What exactly is a housing project?
