Nice review Liam! That Fnatic Edition looks amazing! I hope to see more collab like this with Lamzu in the future! And congrats for 10K subs! Keep it up! 👍
I'm absolutely gonna try this one, been a Razer mamba/G703/Deathadder user my whole life and I miss that shape dearly, the superlight is too small on the back and causes me some inconvenience so I'm putting alot of hope into this.
What settings do you use on the software?? I got my mouse a 2 days ago and changed it twice using it at 2k polling rate. I charged it when I went down to 30%. In 12hrs I went from 100 to 37.
I really like the shape and main buttons but on the one i have the scroll wheel is way to light imo and sometimes the middle mouse button gets stuck which is pretty annoying. I am either going to solder in a new switch or proably going to oder a Vaxee mouse
I had the exact same problem the first time I used the mouse with the scroll wheel getting stuck. I assume when pressing down it goes slightly left/right? Since there is no bottomplate you can try to press the scroll wheel with a small scewdriver to make it go straight down when pressing. It fixed it for me
How's the coating vs the original one? I have the white but really want to return it and get the orange! I saw a review saying the coating is same as the maya which was said to be slippery? When I've heard of reviewers talk about "bad" or slippery coating and then I get the same mouse I have never had and issue 😂
Small hands here/claw grip and ive got the thorn fnatic myself and tried briefly my friends new v3 es and im glad i went with the thorn, i prefer the shape by a good margin. To each their own tho
Kinda surprise the thorn fnatic version didn't come with an adapter, I thought that is a basic requirement and I can't find it anywhere to buy it as well. A little annoyed since its just dangling there when I move my laptop around.
@@VitomirŠimag I haven't tried that, but regular wireless connectivity works perfectly. However, I did have issues with it, which I fixed by reinstalling Windows, and the problem disappeared. The issue was that once every three months, the mouse cursor would freeze and couldn't move, which can be frustrating if you're in the middle of competitive play like I am in Counter-Strike 2. It was quickly fixed by unplugging and replugging the 4K dongle, and everything would work perfectly again, but it could be annoying. This stopped after reinstalling Windows, and now the mouse works flawlessly. The Lamzu X Fnatic THORN is one badass mouse! :)
If I were to point out some drawbacks of this mouse or suggest improvements for Version 2, they would include: having a closed-bottom design to prevent dust from entering, adding a slightly larger battery (since it can't last a full day on 4K mode), and incorporating slam-click protection, meaning the mouse shouldn't register a click if it's accidentally bumped against the desk during intense use And they should use Omron switches instead of Reisha, like they did on the Lamzu Maya X Fnatic.
Oh yeah finally someone whos noticing the terrible pre travel on the non fanatic variat. I also have similar or more pre travel (first batch unit i think), and its really noticeable and makes the main clicks feel extremely mushy.
anyone notice he is wearing the same colour as the mouse haha. Nice review man got myself the black version with lamzu glass skates this week and its insane!
I ordered mine right after Christmas and it should be here soon. Traditionally use ambi mice, but before I got really into trying different mice I used a G502, so hopefully this becomes my main.
Same, my main for a while has been a Razer Viper Mini and I like it, but for my 18x9 hands, I want something that supports my hands more for relaxed claw. It should be here soon for me as well.
all 3 are really good quality, it all depend on your hand size and grip, that's the tricky part of hardware review, you will never really know until you put your hand on it.
yes and no, you can make up to 4 profile and rebind clicks with different option or macro, but if what you have in mind is in the same way as big brands software propose it's no.
I don't like the way they double taped the battery on the PCB with 2 giant holes. The sticky tape is exposed at the bottom. After a while it will pick up dust, lint and hair :/
When you talking about the switches, are the reworked ones only on the fnatic version or I assume both? When did they make these changes to the switches?
@@OneDollaBill Yeah i was a little bit unclear in my question, Im aware they didnt actually change the switches and still use opticals. He mentioned that the ”click feeling” was better so Thats What i meant.
@@reizanaliu The thing is i have one aswell that i got around 2 months ago so dont know If that is the ”new” version aswell. I think the switches feels great on mine but was wondering If they can feel even better If you have the latest
@@aDezenT Mine is more recent. I received it mid December. But I don't know what to say. If they feel good already then don't worry about it. Personally I prefer Optical switches, they are more loud but the ones in my Thorn unit are very light and feel very tactile, so I love them. I don't care about the noise :D
I loved the Thorn, but I think the more agressive hump was my biggest throw back, I imidiately started to dislike the shape 😩but overall great mice. Also Liam, can I ask you about your camera settings? I know this is not going to work on my different camera, but just to have a idea what to set up. I mostly have it setup by people that make cinematic videos on cameras so it looks not that natural and pretty in these scenarios. ( I don´t have Twitter blue so I could not PM you there, but if you could help me get some basic info, would appreciate that, thanks )🙏
I hated the shape in the beginning too. But I found out I love it with the grip tapes on or when my hands are warmer. Apparently the coating works better for me with warm hands. Try it with grip tapes on.
I'm getting this mouse (Fnatic version) and also the pulsar V3 xlite medium (white) 😂 to see which one feels better. I have the DAV3 Pro but I don't quite get used to it, perhaps if Razer makes a mini version of it one day...
I've held off until recently on getting Lamzu's for being made by a Chinese based company. I finally caved and got the Maya. Man I love that mouse. It actually feels really good. Then I got the Thorn. Oh boy, what an ergo lover's dream. The packaging was way nicer than Pulsar and I got a cloth bag I can put the mouse in when I go to work. I still prefer the locked in feeling the X2H mini gives me more when shooting. But Lamzu is making some great mice and well worth the investment.
That's an odd reason considering where the majority of products are being made. I think it's generally a good thing to hold off until everyone else shares their experiences on a product china or not.
@@Qimchiy Not odd at all. Unfortunately most brands have their products made in China. Yet they only send their hard-earned designs and blueprints. If they are willing to give away their hard earned work, that is on them. While I dont agree with this, at least this way the CCP isnt gaining access to my personal information and only access to the companies patents and designs. Yet if you buy from a company based in China CCP has full access to not only the intellectual rights to the company, but your personal data.
because of the Chinese market that we are able to have so many great mice and technological advances, they create competition for the other large brands like Razer, Logitech to come out with better products.
@@Agent_Alpha_SLV Really? Is that why Logitech opted not to get 4k like all the Chinese makers did? Razer most likely got the magnesium usage after FinalMouse used it. While I agree the usage of the cheap Chinese market allows more products to get released. It also helps CCP maintain control over its people and steal foreign makers intellectual property.
So I got my hands on the Lamzu x Fnatic, and...well...compared to the GPX1, and EC2 the Thorn has garbage M1, and M2 switches. They are extremely loud while sounding cheap, and hollow. They went, and made the perfect mouse for my hand, but forced a return cause they decided to cut corners for garbage dump switches.
u can even hear in video how bad are clicks, so loud and sandy and hollow, abysmally bad for me, cant stand it, why 30$ redragon g49 pro has much better opticals, crisp like huano pink dots
Almost all the opticals are like this. Except the Omrons that the gpx2 uses. I just dont understand why every company (pulsar, lamzy, razer etc) use those terrible Raesha switches when there's better opticals out.
