- This is my 1969 C10 short bed stepside I picked up last summer and saved from its grave. I swapped the plugs wires did a HEI conversion flushed the cooling system and got it running within two weeks of getting it home. I’ll make more updated videos soon!

nice rig. 67-72 are my favorite body style. originally i wanted to do my junkyard budget LS swap into a 67-72 truck becuse all the truck accessoies just fit, but the 83 firebird was my first LS swap. check out my "c10 patina backyard budget build" video. i requested a 67 step side after i helped the boss build and sell his 62 gmc, he wanted to do another and he let me choose and i always wanted to play with a 1967 small window truck. only year with the old style small back window. it was a fun project and a labor of love. put a firebird 305 & t5 in the 62 , overdrive make a huge difference in the old trucks. the 67 got the same combo but it was an s-10 t5.
MrJohn613 yeah I have a extra LS engine for this one when the time comes but after I dug Into the small block in this truck more it seems to be very fresh. I’m probably going to put a summit cam in it and roll for awhile. I’ve always loved 67-72 trucks also. I’m more of a fleetside guy but this deal was too good to be true. I plan to put together more videos soon and put all the pics in I have of this thing before I got it and as I cleaned it up.
does it have a fuel cell somewhere? interior tank deleted?
MrJohn613 it’s running out of a 2.5gal gas tank stuck in the engine bay lol i pulled the in cab tank to clean it and it was full of holes so for now it just has the gas can.
@@screaming86 good idea lol. the fumes might get to ya in the cabin lol. i've done some sketchy under-hood bottle tanks a few times before :P

@@screaming86 yep im aware. i was refering to the 67 truck on my youtube page banner. i have a slide show video of parts of the truck / build . it was a favorite of mine, but i did almost finish the junkyard 5.3 firebird 700r4 kickdown cable today. TV cable should be done tomorrow. just need to put the attachment point on the throttle body now. easy
