Matt Groening clearly ignores the fact that Chernobyl is not a country, but a heavily irradiated region of Ukraine. Although uninhabitable, it reopened to tourists. That was until Russia’s invasion earlier this year. Come to think about it, there actually were some Russian troops who needed a medical evacuation after suffering radiation sickness in Chernobyl, but that’s another story for another day. Anyway, Matt Groening also neglects to realise that toys are plastic and thus cannot be mutated, as mutations occur through errors in genetic sequencing.

Bart doing this to a Radioactive Man action figure is WILDLY out of character. Torturing toys from when he was little, sure. Destroying his sisters' toys, that's believable. But doing anything to harm one of his favorite characters is not something he'd do, Halloween special or not.
To be fair it looked like he just got distracted before he could let him out of the microwave

I may be wrong, but didn't he melt one of his james bond figures in the earlier season just for fun?
I did consider that, but Bart isn't as close to James Bond as he is to Radioactive Man. I could NOT see Bart harming something he loved as much as Krusty or RM, especially if said RM figure sounds like it's a limited edition run. Even then, it sounds like a toy he bought specifically to melt in the microwave to pretend to be Blofeld, or rather one he had for quite some time he got board with. But in the case of RM, it was a new toy and he was a super fan that tried to mangle himself to be taller to play Fall Out Boy in a movie AND went through hell trying to get money off of an old woman to afford the first issue of the comic book.
It’s a treehouse of horror the characters are allowed to be out of character

I think one really key thing I'm noticing in all these animations is the fact that the pupils never change size... so it's REALLY hard to gauge what a character is feeling. I feel like when Marge got hit with the blast of plastic goo, her pupils should have been really tiny, and her expression more... shocked? She just kinda looked dead inside. The animation and models themselves are superb, I think that's just one piece missing.
Why didnt she scream from burning melted plastic?

i am a bite surprised that Bart does not respect his toys and destroys them especially when he melted his brand new toy right after Marge buys it for him. Bart's toys must have cost his family a lot of hard earned money over the years

I’d say the Coralisa sketch’s 3D animation looked slightly better as they gave the characters actual hair featuring that looked really good but seeing how that was parodying Laika’s stop motion I can see why it looked like that

@@DgardsGaming I saw toys as my friends, or at least, I did not like them to break or scratch, Bart is naughty, but here what they did, was to overexploit Bart's personality, since after each problem he got into , learned a lesson or regretted it. Here he's just like a psychopath, I can't imagine doing all that with toys .. at least it's not the original timeline

1:05 I actually cried when Radioactive Man died in the most cruel way possible
I was upset because he just died in the next scene he was introduced. I mean the Krusty Doll is supposed to play the role of Woody while the Radioactive Man is supposed to play the role of Buzz Lightyear but unlike Buzz, he just died right away. I mean maybe this is sort of a what-if story. What if Woody couldn't save Buzz from Sid's rocket? Woody and Sid's toys would have killed Sid instead of just scaring him.
