The mysteries of this universe were extremely interesting to me. I prefer the theory that this is a completely different world, and not an allegory to ours. It's just easier to catch up on horror)

There is a lot of things you missed. For example the candle after the janitor grapes you in a cage. You had to climb the elevator door and go through the hole up top there was a candle you were supposed to light in order to save your game.
