This is why I'm moving over to One piece, still expensive but affordable for newer folks 😂 plus the scalpers in the UK London is outrageous 😢 so I'll miss out on some Pokémon products this year, I'm hooing I can add to my collection when team rocket reprint happens if it happens.
Reprints focused on booster bundles and sleeved blisters seem like the way to go, "investors" are just so hungry for booster boxes it seems like it would take a monster reprint to get some of these boxes in standard back under MSRP, which is still a fairly high price point, maybe it's time for the US to get half booster boxes.
They are not focusing on TCG stores anymore but better of big retail stores to distribute. Pokemon company taking out the middle man by us shopping at retail instead of TCG stores. TCG stores raise prizes and poke company can see whats happening reason they are passing auxiliary small items to them but no booster boxes. Business 101 no middle man needed keep the money for your self while the people get mad at TCG stores for not maintaining normal prizes and all traffic to pokecenter SMART move!!
@@AnonTCG Well, raising msrp as you suggest, is in the direction of the moon. As an owner of four large collectible stores, I can tell you that maybe 2-3% of the customers in store are box buyers. Very vast majority, "the common person" come in and buy X amount of packs. Box price is relatively meaningless to the average customer, PACK PRICE is FAR FAR more relevant, and that price point is what determines sales volume most often. We sell about 140 boxes a week combined in all 4 stores, mostly in packs.
This last restock came directly from Pokémon center inventory. Nobody paying MSRP for paradox rift when it was at $105 so may as well ship it to distro.
Great vid bro
Great video

They already print half booster boxes in Europe. Would be easy to have the us adopt that, no?

this is a nice comment
Comment for the algo.
Is Surging Sparks booster boxes from the Vending machines a good investment? Or are reprints coming soon for SS?
They are the same as any other SS box just cheaper.
Standard Japanese box is 30 packs @ 5 cards each
Correct but the focus is the price point for availability to the common person. Not push the price to the moon.

@@theboringchannel2027 I appreciate the data point for sure!
My theory they had to get their boxes sild first. No reprints till they sell out on poke center

@AnonTCG yup but if they raise msrp again rip. Just like when gen 9 started
They could just release the half boosters here. Cut the price in half makes it more accessible to everyone.
