I don't understand why people get mad bc of comparison to blackpink. They both belong to the same company with a distinguished signature. It is YG signature, not BP's. It's really a compliment to compare them to their bigger sisters.

The only reason babymonster is being compared so much is bc blackpink are legends. Everywhere these girls will go people will see blackpink. Maybe its bc YG has a actual standard of good looking video's, high quality members and doesnt settle for whats trendy but rather has his own style. These girls are definitely already better than any other 4thgen or 5th gen group and haters hate it.
I was completely amazed at this! My expectations were far far exceeded! So creative, so original, so captivating, just so good! Notice the two cochlea (spiral ear canals) on the walls behind rapping Ahyeon and Ruka, and also that they “rev” the two dirt bikes on the side walls during Asa’s amazing rap! You got it right away…not 5 (YG’s 1st announced members), not 7 (members), but 10 out of 10 (score/flex)! They ARE on a roll…Rolls-Royce Ghost that is! They all shined! It was always going to be 7 that was more just a drama tool to pull people into watching the last evaluation with the impression someone was going to get eliminated it was all a marketing play to draw attention to the members and the group. Like with aheyon and dangerously that was a perfect media play it grabbed everyone's attention that is exactly what you want in something like this to generate pre-debut hype.

I mean i get that YG gonna do YG but if they could innovate just a bit instead of keeping everything under the EXACT SAME mold, sound, structure, i think it would propel them even further. ( i mean i get that they got this formula that works/worked but over and over and over... )
Funny thing is they probably never gonna change their formula and sound because YG fans will eat it up like its the hottest new dish on the table when in fact, YG just re-heating the same dish and left-overs.
Dont get me wrong, these girls are absolutely fantastic, talented AF, but imo this sound is played out and needs to evolve a bit.

Yes this is a BM song! There is still a YG trademark but with a twist they make it their own! They did a great job for this after watching the MV it doesn't remind me of any YG group.
