Crazy what calling two penalties right off the bat does to a game. A great, clean game by both teams with maybe two or three missed calls on both sides. Nobody trying to rip the head off of their opponents. Just great hockey. Kudos to Furlatt and Sutherland for doing a great job, finally good officiating in these playoffs.
Honestly, props to Staal. He's kind of going under the radar. He was godawful in the regular season and I thought he would eventually get benched. He really showed up in these playoffs. He's surprinsingly very reliable defensively and very good in the forecheck.
@Beyond Your IQ Staal has 8 points and is +3 on the FOURTH line so it's far from doing absolutely nothing. It's both among the best of the team. You're also saying he should have no credits on his goal because they were good setup. The shooter needs credits too. It's not like goals are garanteed even if the pass is good. Oher players may not have positioned themselves well to get the pass or even scored. Staal's last goal was top corner. Another player may have just shot in the pads or missed the net for all we know. You're also comparing Staal on the fourth line with Tatar who played on second line with high minutes count all season. You're confident Tatar would've scored more goals but last time I checked, he struggled to score a single goal since he came back from his injury and in the playoff. That's like 5-7 games in a row. Staal is slow but once he's battling for the puck in the offensive zone, he often is able to win his battles and create scoring chances with Perry and Armia. Tatar is not even good at battling for the puck. Also, why even compare Staal with Tatar? Tatar is and should not play in the fourth line because he's worse defensively, worse in the forecheck and does not play strong physically. If you ask me, it's Lekhonen who has his spot with Danault and Gallagher.

Crazy what calling two penalties right off the bat does to a game. A great, clean game by both teams with maybe two or three missed calls on both sides. GO HABS GO BABY I AM SO PROUD OF MY TEAM this is the furthest they’ve been in my lifetime what a run this is
I was there in 93, just one more please before I die LOL!!
Honestly, props to Staal. He's kind of going under the radar. He was godawful in the regular season and I thought he would eventually get benched. He really showed up in these playoffs. He's surprinsingly very reliable defensively and very good in the forecheck.
That’s the Staal’s forwards quality
Not flashy, but big, strong and reliable men who know how to get a cup
@Beyond Your IQ He did nothing in the playoff? lol
