Or it's a force of habit. I have a problem where I'll hesitate or look away when answering a question so people automatically assume I'm lying even though I'm not. Defendants guilty as sin still, but hesitation alone isn't enough to go on.
JJ circled on the damages instead of asking the plaintiff to circle the damages. The defendant is making excuses of why she won’t pay the plaintiff for the damages. Can’t wait for part 2!
So is "the latest technology" supposed to be a defense? I have a late model vehicle and lots of that stuff is a distraction, she's insane if she thinks it prevents accidents. Never rely on mirrors to tell you to switch lanes unless you drive a semi designed to do that, and never rely on technology as your only mode of driving safely.
A lady backed into my car which was parked then goes “ oh my car didn’t alert me there was anything there”. Some people act like technology means they can be lazy and don’t actually have to look to see where they are going.
D: I have a newer car that has all the technology and a backup camera.” Lol you can have all the new technology in the world, but it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t actually pay attention to it. She already admitted she hit SOMETHING with all of that tech!😂 Then the D goes on to say that she bought her car with damage to it already in the same spot as the impact 🤦♂️
Those pictures say way more than they should. 🤣 2:03 Front bumper damage (plaintiff passenger side) 3:10 Height of the sidewalk (defendant passenger side), location of the damage (defendant driver side rear bumper) All the plaintiff have to prove is the defendant turned her wheels to face the curb in order to reverse at an angle so she can then proceed to pull out to the left which caused her diver side bumper to make contact with the plaintiff passenger side front bumper. Case closed.
I love this lady's logic, "I backed up and I hit something, but it wasn't the car directly behind me", um what? did the car behind her become aware and moved so she hit the curb instead? 🤣
Defendant: "I have proof that my car has all modern technology so that I couldn't have hit her" Also Defendant: "I hit something else"" I guess technology don't cure stupid.
Poor plaintiff: Lost her case AND her insurance went up as soon as her vehicle reported the collision. Gotta love new vehicles with their techy babysitting :p
I do miss Byrd on the new show a bit, but his posture at 2:29 shows why I can understand why she got rid of him on Judy Justice. His mind was hardly on the job as he stood there looking bored, and did crosswords a lot, and when JJ asked him to collect something he stumbled across like a sloth, and he seemed to have a worse attitude to women as well.
I don't know...the plaintiff's damage was on the front passenger side, and the defendant's was on the drivers side and higher than the mark on the plaintiff's car...and they acknowledge they were in the same parking lane - the defendant's car would have to be way up over the curb for those two areas to touch...
I know there are some words we don't use like we used to. Suffice it to say that the defense here dinstinctly reminds me of that one character in CrankYankers who wore a helmet. "My car has technology, yaaaay! I hit something and I don't know what but it for sure wasn't your car!"
Every single clip y'all have to make assumptions about Byrd ONLY to excuse why he isn't on the new version of Judge Judy. I guarantee had he been on the new version y'all wouldn't have these "realizations" about how y'all THINK he feels. Funny there were NONE of these same "realizations" as y'all watched the show in its initial run.
Some cars have a backup sensor that is supposed to alert you if you are getting close to something. But they’re 100 percent reliable because a lady with one backed up and hit my vehicle which was parked.
True the plaintiff got hit but her damages are BS. There's no way she got backed into and had a tow hook bent. Tow hooks are literally built strong enough to hold the entire weight of the car. Unless the defendant backed into her at 60 miles per hour plus she wouldn't have bent the tow hook. Seems to me that the plaintiff has a friend or family in auto body that gave them a nice inflated estimate. If an accident like this actually happened it would only cause surface scratches.
So like I may agree with the verdict, JJ is incorrect about the tech. The sensors will not read a curb, only the proximity of an approaching car moving into your area, and if you happen to be backing into an obstacle that is about the same height as the bumper.
Byrd always looks so over his job 😂
Exactly why they got rid of him. He became a dead weight
He acts like when you ask your teenager to do something and they do it slow and annoyed lol.
😂😂😂
But he wonders why they got a new bailiff for Judy Justice😂
I would agree with that.
The way the defendant kept saying, right, um hum, um hum, uh huh, was very telling. Guilty as charged !!!!!
Or it's a force of habit. I have a problem where I'll hesitate or look away when answering a question so people automatically assume I'm lying even though I'm not. Defendants guilty as sin still, but hesitation alone isn't enough to go on.
@airraverstaz some people are bad liars (aka me) , and saying "Yes" and "no" is a lot more difficult 😑 🤣 to say than "Mmhmm" and "Uh-huh."
@@airraverstaz it is very telling. Body language and demeanor speaks volumes. Listening is a skill the defendant knows nothing about.

So the defendant wants to go with the story of the damage was previously there. How convenient!!!
"I have a new car". "Oh damage was already there I bought it used" 😏
@1:13 She said she had a "newer" car.
Almost every time JJ starts with the defendant, the plaintiff wins. We shall see…
True. In one episode she actually does say that whoever she starts with ISNT a good thing.
I kept waiting for JJ to mock the Defendent with "mhuh"
right 😂😂😂 “mhuh” not an answer” 🤣
How did we go from hitting a curb to a paint smudge?

That thing on her lip has it's own area code and 5 zip codes
More like zit codes 😅😅
My eyes saw that but didn't focus on it until you pointed out. Gross!

I find it rude to do puzzles

If the car in front of the defendant was too close, she pulled up too close to it as she parked. That was obviously the beginning of the problem
