Honestly, that might be Kareem Abdul Jabbar's character from Game of Death, given the sprite's towering height relative to everyone else and the fact that Jim Kelly was never Bruce's enemy in any movie.
i bought the first bruce lee game in 1984 for my atari 800 and i loved it .my friend had the c 64 version..we wanted a bruce lee 2 so badly...we would have killed to get something like this in 84 85.excelllent!!
I never knew there was Bruce Lee 2. I loved the first game, it was one of my favorites. It looks like this kept the charm and added some fun new components.
Some people bashed this game for being a little too similar _looking_ to the original, but actually it is a game unto its own, with some different challenges. Nicely done!
Love the "Electrified Comb Room" at 8:06, the one in the original was the biggest loss of lives (cool there's 2 1-ups) Also nice, while waiting between floors, to watch those bad guys beat each other up!
Great timing... very quick indeed... Great to see people still enjoying perhaps my favourite gaming pc lol... Ps... my c64 broke down about a year ago : - (
Honestly, given how hard it is to get ahold of these in this day and age, I think you'd be better off just emulating. It's not like the company that made them is still around anymore.
The I hate that pixel perfect jump at 14:27 - it was killing me for 20+ times! I really love the whole Bruce Lee II game as I am big fan of original Atari 800XL Bruce Lee (played 1000x times during 80's).
Ooooooooooh, I used to play this with/against my friend when I was a child. Player 2 is a big fat guy that makes your progress harder but can't kill you. VERY GOOD GAME!!
@@Vectrex-xd6qi Ha ha ha. Yes, I now see that this is some sort of remake? Obviously I meant that I played the original in the '80s. Man, I loved the C64.
I had this on my old amstrad! loved it but was very hard. brings back some memories, i won my amstrad at a raffle and got a few games from Tandy Electronics back in the 80's. Feeling old now!
Strange. Because of the fro size , I presumed it was Jim Kelly , williams from enter the dragon. As Williams was not ever Lee's enemy, I'll go with game of death's Jabbar. Nice shout.( I still think it looks more like Kelly though)
@@jamesheyworth3566 , haha agreed, the fro definitely threw me off, but I think the height difference is what sold it for me. That fro though, work of beauty.
Surprisingly good for a licensed C64 game. My main complaints are that the combat seems to be a bit barebones, sometimes it's hard to judge what is a platform and what isn't, and the fact that, if you're playing a game as Bruce Lee of all people, what you immediately want to do is kick ass, not collect... whatever he's collecting. The exploration and collection format is really interesting for the time, the obstacle course format of most rooms is cool as well, and I like that you can use environmental hazards to kill enemies.
I made it to the purple screen at 8:06 but have trouble getting through the second conveyor belt. Hell, it looks like the screens after require pixel-perfect jumps. I dunno whether I will bother going any further.
Jani Uusitalo It's a very good game. There's much more variation and it's also longer compared to original. I like the additional difficulty, considering the first one was way too easy to finish. Few parts are a bit too unfair though. Especially some jumps are very annoying, requiring pixel perfect accuracy.
+Tiwaking “Tiwaking” Tiwaking It's a cool game, but it's definitely much harder than the original. einokeino303 is totally right about some of the jumps. For example, the top level at 8:20. Even after watching this video, I had to slow down the emulator to 50% speed, & it still took me 4-5 tries. And If you die, you get put back 1 screen & have to do all 3 levels again. (thank god for snapshots/save game) I can't image trying to complete this game on a real C64. Still, I'm very happy that Bruce Lee 2 was made. It's very nostalgic, as I played the original back in the 80s when I was a child.
Maybe I' m wrong, but could this black boxer meant to be Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? I remember a fight between Bruce Lee and him in a movie, which name I have forgotten...
Why not call this a Tool Assisted Speedrun? I see no difference, even if there might be some optimizations to do. Also, this game seem to have removed the amazing :D 'Lying down'-frame from the original and replaced it with a normal looking squat 14:49 . How sad. That weird frame was just so funny in the original. :D
Remembering my cousin and me playin Bruce Lee on C64 for hours and days! Loved it! Sooo long ago. Best memories 👍🏻😎
I like it how the bad guys spend as much time fighting each other as they do you.
+Akira625 It's like watching a Marvel or DC movie in reverse.
The showdown with chuck even had a cat hanging about in the background ,, call to way of the dragon...... Superb.
Whoever put Chuck Norris and Jim Kelly as enemies in this game is a genius
Honestly, that might be Kareem Abdul Jabbar's character from Game of Death, given the sprite's towering height relative to everyone else and the fact that Jim Kelly was never Bruce's enemy in any movie.
@@lionelsteele007 yeah agreed it's Kareem.

Oh man, the Bruce Lee games were the best. Although random green sumo wrestler second player guy is undoubtedly best of all.
That leap at 5:05 - I was going right from the edge and kept falling. Thank you for this video.

Even Chuck Norris' chest hairs are properly done. 😁👍
I don’t remember this ever being released. I played the first game endlessly, how did i not know this sequel was around
It was a fangame that's why, you can get it at the CSDB, it was only released in 2015

Great stuff, I love the nod to Kung Fu Master around 14:50!
No wayyy ni sabia existía una segunda parte, y este era uno de mis favoritos de la c64
Very good play. I play in that also so many years ago. Nostalgiic!
Impressive playthrough! Great sequel and quite hard :)
Very interesting. Never knew they made a follow-up to the first one.
It's a fangame. It was made in 2013
Wow, this looks fun. My opinion of C64 games a whole seems to be going up and up, maybe it's about time I tracked one down.
Honestly, given how hard it is to get ahold of these in this day and age, I think you'd be better off just emulating. It's not like the company that made them is still around anymore.
Every bit as good as the first game :)

Unless you were a child playing C64 in 2013 I guess you are thinking about the Original, not this unofficial sequel.

Old Amstrad from 2013? ;-)
He means the original Bruce Lee
Fantastic bit of work here, but much, much harder than the original. I love the new enemy sprites and all the new elements though. Swimming!
OOH MY GOD ! a sequel I never played ! soooo cool
It's not an official sequel. It was a fangame that was released in 2015
Wanted to finish this game, but giving up right now. I'm we're you're browsing at 8.20,eow you skills are really impressive, well played!
😊
Was not aware this ever existed, but the first one looks better. Great to see this, though.
I've NEVER seen this! I didn't know this existed! You've just made my night! Now I have to see if I can have this.
Charles Coverly This was made by a fan a couple of years ago. It is incredible.
MikeeSings4You It IS!! I downloaded it! Love it!
bottom left on this site is files for c64 (working for emulator too?) kollektivet.nu/brucelee2/
pc version here, in the middle of site: www.classic-retro-games.com/games/fighting/bruce-lee-ii-563

Is the white sprite Chuck Norris? I think so :D
Amazing game!
Yes! At the 6:46 definedely a Chuck Norris! :)
I feel like Chuck Norris should have been undefeatable in order to stay true to his legend.
Brian Bagnall I prefer it this was since Bruce Lee did kick his ass in the film "Return of the Dragon"
yes it is him !! very good idea...
Not only Chuck Norris but also the cat.
such clever level design...
Chuck Norris i Jim Kelly jako postacie doczekaliśmy wspaniałej gry ;)
Whow, this is really long for a C64 game
Best game ever!!! thks a lot...
Poor Samurai, always late for the party.
I like added swimming. :)

o my holy god i could never beat this game. well played!
je ne savais pas qu'il y avait eu une suite
very nicely made.... magic. would be cool with a 3rd :)

12:54 Green Yamo gets owned
His one and only appearance. Died because being not able to swim or being too fat to survive? 😮
He should've been the main villain in the game. Though the one we got isn't bad either!
11:00 brilliant fight on bottom level
+sharkie12354 That's right, and it is yet more proof that Chuck Norris always wins!
😄
I used to play this game for hooouuuuurrrrssss.
Good Work! It's more difficult than first game!...
The designer of I Wanna Be The Guy must have seen this.
Well kudos to the game creator for keeping the legacy alive, but I have to say that the game seems to suffer from artificial difficulty.

I tried it. Couldn't get past the bit at 2:06. Stopped there. Definitely needs retuning.
So what should the movie tie-in be called? "Game of Death III?"
nice, hope he makes a part 3
There is a third game, it just came out. Not made by the same guy though, it's called Bruce Lee - Return of Fury
Is the guy with the afro, Williams (Jim Kelly), the other is Chuck Norris. I like that they fight each other. This is a great sequel.
So, the final boss is Lo-Pan from Big Trouble in Little China?
wow im old
The level design in this one seems to be heavily influenced by Pharaoh's Curse. Great second part though.
So at Bruce Lee you can use the green character also at 2 player, but who can you use here, is is Gene Kelly or Chuck at two players?
Leisure Suit Larry, teenage years.
Maybe I' m wrong, but could this black boxer meant to be Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? I remember a fight between Bruce Lee and him in a movie, which name I have forgotten...
Heinrich Gänseklein The Game Of Death
I thought it was Jim Kelly from enter the dragon, Williams in the film.
6:47 - is that him? Chuck Norris?!?
We will fight all day:)
09:57 - is that supposed to be chuck norris
@snx70
Yes, tool-assisted means recorded in Vice instead of on a real C64.
Moon C64Longplaysde So what? Half these games are motherfucker-tough and we only have so much time to practise all of them.
*****
So what? I was simply answering a question.
Moon C64Longplaysde No worries :)
Final boss is David Lo Pan?
how to run: white noise. chop quantize. repeat
Played by Ban Ki-Moon.
Nah, it was the Ghost of The Who's Keith Moon
Anyone got a link where to get this?
Here's a cracked version with "trainers" csdb.dk/release/?id=137542
9:45 Is that Jim Kelly and Chuck Norris?
Where is the superior Spectrum version though ??
"Tool assisted longplay"
Ok - found the definition of TAS (Tool-assisted speedrun) - how long did it take to put this demo together? It seems to be a lot of work!
Well, Chuck Norris. Sad day for you :-).
WAIT WOOT bruce lee 2??
It is a fan-made sequel.
THERE WAS A FUCKING SEQUEL???!!!!! O.O
It wasn't official. It was a fanmade sequel made in 2013
Good nostalgia, good level design, but sadly too hard.
Alter, bist du ein Bot? 😂 Als Kind habe ich das Spiel geliebt
...oh... tool-assisted?
It doesn't mean cheat codes, it just means it was done with an emulator like Vice with using snapshots instead of on an actual C64
Boing boing boing

What the actual fuck is this? Even that crap Quest of the Dragon that was on Xbox in 2002 was better.
2013 and the game looks this shit?
double facepalm
