- First song played in the Maze of Memories level. Good God, that last puzzle where you're in the circular room and you have to flip the switches and get past that crystal drove me nuts the first time I played it. XD
FUN FACT: this is actually a remaster of the very first song you here in the japanese wonderswan exclusive game, Klonoa: Moonlight Museum.
dam this song so good they made a whole wonderswan game for it
@Based & Redpilled Department Pilled and Redbased with a side of fries
@@KirbyCurbwhy lol
THEORY: Moonlight Museum was going to follow Klonoa throughout the series by having it play game by game as subtle jabs that it was a connection to Klonoa's original world of origin.
Even in the first game Klonoa cannot recall his own world and keeps forgetting everything when he arrives someplace else. The Moonlight Museum game plot was about artists stealing things like the moon and dreams to create and view art. This was intended to be a prequel to the first game meaning that Klonoa had always had this museum following him. Even Looloo admits that she has never seen the museum beforehand.
I kinda want to see his original world now
God I wish the series could continue just so we see that kinda stuff. Klonoa universe is just so good
@@tronzon3560 me too, Klonoa 3, when will it happen... :')
@@Twinklethefox9022isnt it kinda hinted at that phantomile could be his world? there are citizens who look almost identical to him
unless thats just another trick
This level honestly felt a bit like fanservice for the seven people who played Moonlight Museum and I love it
Kinda like how the last main level of Kirby's Adventure was the first level from Kirby's Dreamland
Thank you blueninten for always being there
Edit: nvm he changed his name and profile picture
I seen you on discord
It was such a nice and trippy place
Make it eight.
one of the most underrated PS2 titles.
on a consumer/sales basis
vinloc3854 orion3754 Klonoa is one of the most underappreciated *video game series* of all time, full stop.
Relytia I would love to see a new Klonoa game! Maybe for the WII U?
But let's be real here, the series is long forgotten :,(
unfortunately so my friend.
VanillaFejz we can still hope that klonoa 3 will come some day
Spacey, surreal, and magical. I'm so glad I got to play this amazing gem as a kid
I'm so glad I got to play this amazing gem as an adult.
Regret I missed this game as a kid, but glad and grateful to experience both games as a teen.
After emulating moonlight museum on a wonderswan emulator, and later playing this level on the new Klonoa remakes, i have grown to truly love this aesthetic of art based on memories.
wish they made another game in this style.
get this on an mp3 player and take a walk in the forest
magical
Stop Trynna Kill 2 Year Olds!! LOL!!!
bears are actually pretty friendly
I swear, Klonoa is literally Kingdom Hearts with anthros. The universe is so mysterious and Moonlight museum being the canonical beginning of Klonoa's adventures gives me an odd sense of nostalgia.
It gives me some Chains of Memory vibes too.
Personally it feels like a mix between Kirby and KIngdom Hearts. Kirby for the dream environments, cutesy style and aesthetically traumatizing eldritch enemies, and Kingdom Hearts for the mystery and emotionally traumatizing story.
Moonlight Museum is first?
This is probably one of the more memorable highlights of the game for me. Not just for the weird, yet beautiful and calm theme that plays, but also for it's unique design and presentation.
Like, it's a place you just don't mind getting lost in.
Ah yes, one of the more puzzle-oriented visions of the game. The visuals are breathtaking, the Moonlight Museum fanservice is unexpected but well appreciated, and the music is just... yeah, definitely a highlight of this game's soundtrack, that's for sure.
Actually, one thing I kind of wish they did with this vision is that if you were to look through the mirrors, you would see Klonoa's original design with Huepow following him, just to further drive home the overall theme of past memories and such. Speaking of mirrors though, is that laughter I'm hearing from some of them? Eh, can't be too important... can it?
Oh god the nostalgia! It's making my eyes water.
I don't care what anybody thinks about this game. It will forever hold a place in my heart, and I'll play it on my dusty ps2 for as long the disk holds out.
Imma putting this on phone and ride the train with this on the background.. It would be a mystical experience indeed..
I couldnt agree with you more my man. This game to me is one of the best games ever released
SOMEONE DISLIKES THIS GAME???????
I’ve been wondering wtf Klonoa even is after beating Lunatea (and spoiling Phantomile for myself). How did he even become a dream traveler? Is it explained in past games because I’ve only played Lunatea.
@@TwistedFireX he didn't become one, in the first he already is one, and it is explained what happened to him and his memories
It would be interesting if this happened-
Voice: Klonoa, are you still sad?
Klonoa: huh- who's there?
Voice: Or rather are you still angry?
Klonoa: angry? About what?
Voice: nevermind, that's impossible. You can't be mad about dream worlds you've forgotten.
Klonoa: you're not making sense! Hello?
Voice: Help me Klonoa... And I will let you relive those moments in true sorrow again.
Klonoa: huh...?
Lolo: I think the exit is this way.
Nice little nod to the original, would be cool to see in game.
wooo
Cool
Klonoa 1 & 2 for Switch please!

Edit: They did! Klonoa phantasy reverie series it's a collection with klonoa door to phantomile and klonoa 2 Lunatea's veil. The game will be available for PC(steam)/Switch/PS4/PS5 and Xbox Series (and xbox One).
THANK YOU BANDAI NAMCO! :)
@Johnny Deep they registered klonoa encore trademark. It's just a matter of time.
any day now...
@@betterthanbrooklyn5806 still waiting...
Also for ps4 pro or xbox series x/s. I would buy that in a heart beat.
@@jigimon6674 yes! Waiting for a ps4/ps5/steam release as well
"Klonoa, we've kept your memories as well. Do you remember? You were here before..."
As iconic as just about any videogame music out there.
+Daakist Amen to that! It's a little sad that this soundtrack is pretty much stuck in "hidden gem" status -- so many good tunes that people have gotta hear! At least it's much more accessible now that it's up on iTunes, though. No need for a physical CD and ludicrous import costs lol
Katesune Did you hear about the Klonoa movie that was just announced?
I DID, AND I AM GEEKED BEYOND BELIEF (pleasedon'tsuckpleasedon'tsuckpleasedon'tsuck)
The movie is klonoa's last chance for a revival. Fingers crossed the studio takes good care of it
+HUED WAIT IT'S ACTUALLY GONNA BE A THING?
This was my favorite level in the game. It has such a psychedelic touch to it in a way...
EDIT: I cannot wait to experience this level again with Phantasy Reverie
EDIT 2: It was just as amazing as I remembered it. Although there are way more shinier colors in the level now. Which makes the psychedelic visuals appear even more trippy…
Awesome... I platinumed the 'Phantasy Reverie' series since it wasn't too much trouble and both games are so cute/cool! 😺
*SPOILER* This game's ENTIRE soundtrack is beautifully "kind of sad". I only realized on the second play-through that it may be on account of everything being a dream.
Are you thinking of the first game?
@@cptnoremac , no... I meant this one. If I remember correctly, everything that happened in Klonoa 2 was just a dream of some kind.
@@robokou I don't remember the story of this one as well as the first, but I don't see how it can be a surprise to Klonoa the second time.
@@cptnoremac , that's interesting... I've yet to play the first one, so I know nothing about its story or the context in which Klonoa 2 takes place. (Probably never will now that you spoiled it for me... lol, j/k.)
But I'm pretty sure that K2 involved some kind of temporary world/existence or something having to do with the King of Sorrow. That's why it was so sad saying goodbye to your priestess-friend at the end. I mean, what did it all mean? Was the existence of her and everyone in Lunatea going to be erased? I should replay that game now that I'm older. 🤔
@@robokou I'd like to replay it too. I definitely recommend playing the first game. It holds up better than most 5th gen games. A lot of good music, too. My wife was walking through the room after I finished it and she cried at the ending.
This door is frozen.
This door has been corroded.
This door has... magic paint on it?
such a puzzling level. I spent an hour at one area trying to figure how to get up on one platform. Never forgot this song since that day.
I know what your talking about. I hated that part
Klonoa Phantasy Reverie made me gey through that in like a minute thanks to the 2 Player support jump
@@robot0boi946 absolute cheater.
You should be ashamed.
That also works for world 4 of i wanna lockpick, which this is used in

Wow, such a great game with beautifully crafted soundtrack. This music wreaks of nostalgia!
the puzzles in that level were GREAT

This game forever holds a special place in my heart as my very first PS2 game ever played and owned. This track in particular always stuck with me. It's so calming and each individual instrument can be heard and it's just so... Beautiful.
Lavender town + mystic mansion = moonlight museum
OMG that level, I will *never* forget about it
1 day ago really?! People still come here and i love it.
@@Vehmura Well i played klonoa 2 when i was a kid and now i like listening to the soundtrack, even if it's 12 years old
Me too, it was the first game i ever played.
Woah first game ever? That must've been the best way to start!
@@tommasomaruffi1306 yeah, i was like 4 years old and had no idea about what the story was, and when i replayed it and actually understood the story, i realised it was one of the best things in the game.
This has to be the most nostalgic track in the entire game for me, just because it sounds so much like Klonoa 1
The OST of the game is pretty sad when you think about it and this one almost makes me shed a tear everytime I listen to it... but it's so beautiful
We're going back to Mira Mira soon
I LITERALLY CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR THIS AGAIN IN JULY OH MY GOD AAAASSASASADSASDJSADFLKSD
This and the ark are my favorite themes.
+ErictheViking451 I love the ark music so much :P That, mirage and cursed leorina are my favourite themes!
もう一度クロノアに会いたいなぁ。
Takes you to another place
Venus 💛👽
I've always wanted to have a dream about me being in this level....
This sound track is beautiful and I think it's only sad because of the absurd amount of nostalgia it brings back. This game is the greatest of all time. Fun, beautiful story and the music is just plain perfection.
I'm so excited this game finally got a remake
Remaster*
The ppl who made this song were definitely jamming to this one lol
TwT... I never got to play this game, but I can only imagine the nostalgia 😭. I grew up with and love part 1 ps1/wii. I also have the Rayman games in a special place in my heart
Nights for me.
when you realise this song is a reference to a klonoa side game tilted klonoa: moonlight museum for the bandai wonderswan it just makes this song all the more interesting to me
Possibly the greatest soundtrack in the history of video games.
Nostalgia
*Yes.*
que hermoso soundtrack, me da ganas de jugar el juego otra vez. :')
I really wished this place actually existed. It's like an awesomely trippy museum :D
If you think about it,that place really represents the indecision. It's everything floating,a lot of things out of it's place and nothing makes sense. Looks like somebody's head.
I absolutely love this song
It's funny how I share the sentiments of the citizens of this area. They want to go back and relive simpler times. I miss the 90s and the early 2000s. I didn't get to play this game when it came out but I'd do it all over just to make this masterpiece a part of my childhood memories.
Fun fact: this is an extended and rearranged version of Moonlight Museum's title theme.
i was on this level for hours.the music is so whimsical
omg i love this music, good memories
man do i love this game!!
Hi.
I love this game. This is just brilliant! :D I have to say that it's really interesting to read what you have in mind with these soundtracks ^^ This was really difficult level to me also at first time xD
lol. loved this level. one of my favorites. and i really like the song too!
Cant wait klonoa remastered version for new generation of consoles. I have missed this game series more than I like to admit.
It's a full remake. I'm super excited too :D
I love this level so much. Took me a while to figure it out, but I still loved it. xD
Thanks for the upload. :]
Wow 11 years ago huh. Still remember commenting this? ;)
This is soothing
1:31-2:11 Beautiful!
Nostalgia :)
Yeah
I used to hate this level SO MUCH because I couldn't figure out all the puzzles. I never thought that 10 years later I'd be sitting here enjoying the music, haha
Come back and make it almost 20...
I would like to thank Namco for introducing me to this great series, for they created Tekken, one of my favorite fighting games, and of course Pac-Man. Very fun game indeed. :)
beats to relax/study to
Maaan, 10 years... i'm get old...
One of the trippiest levels ever! @.@
MonsterDawg79 loved it!! it was trippy and fun af
Ahh essa música é tão boa, mas esse lugar é meio complicado mesmo kkk. Não só pelos puzzles, mas acho que principalmente pela loucura que essa fase é em seu estilo
This level made my eyes hurt! Every five minutes, I kept saying, "Ow! My eyes!"
The first time I played it, it was past midnight. My eyes and brain hurt the whole time playing. But MAN was it satisfying to beat.
Omg this music is beautiful 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️
i was like 'wut' in all the level XD
MY BRAIN HURTS FROM THIS LEVEL
GOD I HATE DOOR STATUS EFFECTS
and to think it only lasted for world 4
what about lettered levels
wait until you see what lies in the backside
god if this came out on vinyl I would do anything to get it.
Waiting for a Klonoa collection (GB titles + Klonoa 1 + Klonoa 2)...
This level made me cry kiddie tears of frustration
I slowed down this song, and now my mind is cleared..
1:31 Heavenly
sometimes i sleep to this
Soothing!
I used 2 play thia level repeatedly the maze of memories it was called omg pure childhood memories 😄
i think i might just do a walkthrough of this game, i luv it so much, and have played it before, and during the walkthrough, i can talk about the music and old memories so that would be awesome
Spotlight Meuseum
I'm not on that part yet but it's still worthy listening to it
I wonder if Moonlight Museum was going to follow Klonoa throughout every other sequel
Cómo odiaba esa fase Oh my god!! (dioooos) estaba siempre encerrado y no podía pasar esta mierd* fase, pero me da muchos recuerdos T_T xd. Nostalgia
Bom jogo, joguei muito na infância e ainda jogo... Marcante essas músicas.
This reminds me of the 3 years it took me to find that invisible egg with the star in it... @_@

Still do...
Congratulations on a thousand sub dude or gal
Also I love this song and game

Katesune congrats as well. also I gotta say, I'm glad I played Moonlight Museum via emulator before I bought this game and played it. I appreciated this song the way it was intended to be appreciated.
Isn't Moon-Light Museum like the Castle Oblivion in Klonoa? There was a whole game based on this stage
There is a game called Klonoa Moonlight Museum, so definitely there's something familiar with the song's name in Klonoa 2 and the actual video game for the WonderSwan. Also the difference between Moonlight Museum and Castle Oblivion is that at least in KH Chain of Memories is that due to Namine's power, Sora and friends couldn't remember as their memories were tampered with. In Klonoa Moonlight Museum, there is an antagonist in the form of a museum in the game that takes peoples' dreams and use it as art, Maybe a similar action, but nonetheless different. Also I'll finally note that the music playing in Maze of Memories is the music played in Klonoa Moonlight Museum in the beginning cutscene but very diffrently as far as I remember.
Yeah, because the level music does not match THIS Moonlight Museum music. Though i guess the game needed variety of music
Well, the original track used for the intro cutscene for Moonlight Museum is a simple loop (I have a physical copy of the game. :P ). Klonoa 2's version of Moonlight Museum, used in the Maze of Mira-Mira level, as well as the cutscene where Klonoa, Lolo, and Popka are climbing Mt. Mira-Mira before the "Mts of Mira Mira" level, is an expanded version of the track. :)
YES
I knew this song sounded familiar when I played this course
I was stuck in the level for the longest time holy shit
🤣
I feel so sorry for people qwho never got to experience this beautiful game. The story, the art, the music and the challenge. Thank you lord for this. Pure gold.
@Grimmomega And what more fitting stage to bring back memories than the Maze of Memories.
I really hated that level so much, I thought it was impossible to complete without the use of the Popka jump (pressing Start on a connected second controller, then pressing Square at any time after that).
Also, the Popka Jump reminds me of that high jump secret in Megaman 3.
Ahh this track ~_~
i stay playin this level
rolf you made my day( i mean night cuz its dark here in Peru)
God the circle room with the switches. Since I never knew there were guides, I used a gameshark and went right to the KoS. It outraged me that room did so...
Best song and board in the game, IMO... Flashbacks!
