The stormbox 2 (SBB2) is far superior because of its separation...the SBB1 creates bass from the same speakers that creates its mids so at higher volumes the speaker loses quality (typical of 2way setups - tweeter, mids/woofers(same speaker)...the SB2 solves that by installing a separate speaker that produces bass only so its a 3way setup (tweeter, mids, sub)...theres a setting on the SBB2 that really blows the SBB1 out the water...I have an SB1, SBpro and a SBB1...will try to get the SBB2 by christmas...cant wait

Boombox 4 might not be coming so soon, the bb3 wifi just got a bunch of new features such as the new expanded eq band option like the jbl go 4 clip 5 and xtreme4, as well as the charge 5 wifi, whereas the normal bb3 doesn’t. Auracast has also just been released for the bb3 wifi, as well as the power increase+ aac codec for Bluetooth, basically most of the speaker was revamped except the shape. I think they are treating the bb3 wifi as the bb4 now, there is also no bb4 in the Bluetooth registration record, unlike the other leaked models

It would be better if you put in a 15 inch subwoofer. Because no brand has ever done this before. I think it will give a very powerful Deep Bass sound.
there are bluetooth speakers that are that size, not for this class of speaker, this is the portable class, a 15" sub requires a large cabinet and not as portable, this class is about small size but good power

Can't really put my finger on the sounds of the blast 2. There's something that my ears dont quite like in the bass region.
The sound will be more fatigue for the ears to listen to in the long run..
