    I have some external shock limiters on my very cheap losi plastic shocks :) Should I remove those before refilling and bleeding? I would think that with those on, I wouldn't be able to push the piston all the way in.

    When you build emulsion shocks, do you let the air out of the oil before putting the cap on it?

    • @davidronnefalk
      @davidronnefalk  4 года назад +1

      If I have time I let them sit so all the air goes out. Sometimes I'm in a hurry and then I don't bother making sure 100% of the air is out. However I want as much air as possible to be out of course for a more consistent feel on the track!

    When or why you change from the performa blader to the emulsion?

      William Sing I will post a separate video of that after I have posted my next video which is going to be building shocks with the Performa Caps👍

      Nebojsa I missed doing them! I don’t know what size they are, haven’t measured them. We are just testing some different ones to see which ones to produce👍

    What emulsion shock caps do you run on the D418?

    • @davidronnefalk
      @davidronnefalk  3 года назад +1

      I have used the plastic caps. We are working on some new aluminum caps for it too which will be similar to the volume of the plastic ones. I think the car handles better with those👌

    I’m still learning, so cut me some slack on this... It seems like other sources say you want rebound, yet you say you want NO rebound. I’m confused about the disparity here.

    • @joeemanuel6813
      @joeemanuel6813 4 года назад +1

      Nathan Strong on emulsion you don’t want any rebound the idea is on a bumpy track the shocks absorb the bumps better and the car rides smoother. Also on jumps the car won’t jump back up

    • @davidronnefalk
      @davidronnefalk  3 года назад +1

      In my 20 years of driving 1/8 offroad I've never liked running with rebound in the shocks. Could be personal preference but the car is easier to drive like this👍

    That's not how one uses an o-ring, it would have to sit at the bottom of the threads, what you'll want in this case is a flat washer at the top of the cap if you're not using a blader
