the V2 was on my list i was pondering when i bought my current bag. ended up grabbing an Atlas Pioneer v3 instead (liked the heftier canvas build better), but the discology bags always looked like awesome options for the $$.
I bought the izzo at the end of june, I typically hold either 22 or 23 discs in the main compartment, and I use the side pockets for my putters (kinda like a holster). It has a lot of pockets, and I think its comfy on my back (i also am 5,10).
My v2 bag putter pocket ripped the first day I got it putting the side panels on it. Putter pocket won’t fit 2 putters nicely either. Plus the straps went to crap in less than a year but for the price it ain’t bad.
Had a v1 and the straps tore near the reinforcement after about 5 rounds. Putter pockets also tore. It was replaced under warranty for a V2. Those straps didn't rip but wore out the padding quickly. Also on the v2 my putter pockets tore but not in an unusable way and you cant see the tears so its not a big deal to me. It actually kind of upgraded the bag as now because of it I fit 3 putting putters up top and 4 throwers in the bottom putter pouch. Prior to them ripping I fit 2 in each. I also fit 3 discs in the pocket Bodanza says he doesn't really use. I only use one of the two pockets but I fit 2 zones and a resistor. I fit 18 discs in the main compartment. I'm kind of mid heavy but also fit plenty of fairways and distance drivers. I mostly use it on a cart so it slowed down the strap wear and makes the weight of having so many discs manageable. Overall for the price its a solid bag and it sounds like the v3 addressed my issues with the bag.
I am more and more glad I didn't shop around to much and just got me the Viking Discs Rucksack Pro for $60 including shipping 2 years ago, nothing even showing wear and tear, NOW I do not play that often but I always take it in the car when going alone or out of it when the family is going somewhere. It cannot swallow more than 22 disc without using the sidepockets that I want to be able to put an extra pair of socks and a shirt in, but to be honest I should just use 15 of the discs I carry xD
i use the bug out bag from doomsday. it would probably carry 40+ discs if needed, has so many pockets and 2 umbrella/disc retriever/tripod holders, and is slightly more expensive at $120ish but comes with a pin, a towel, and a patch.
You should try the axiom voyager lite. I’ve been loving mine but it replaced a $20 one I got when I started. I’d like to see what you think of it in comparison to the other ones you’ve got. I initially wanted a grip bag but I couldn’t justify spending that much.
You should definitely try the upper park rebel! I have one and love it! The open concept is amazing, and i wonder what your thoughts would be on the bag.
I have the same Simon line bag as you do. Won it in a giveaway. I stuff 29 discs into it, and yes it is a pain to get discs in and out aometimes 😅. I think I will grab one of these bags for my glow discs.
I like my Discology Icon but with my bad back it gets a little heavy sometimes so I’ve been using a shoulder bag lately since I gave my light DD Trooper to my son when I got the Icon. If this OG V3 is a lot lighter than the Icon then I may need one.
Watching you try on all these bags reminds me of like smash Bros. Choose your character and then it gave me a really cool idea. There should be a disc golf video game that allows you to customize your character and what gear you get that plays similar to like a pokémon game would play like you actually have to walk through the course. Go to your lie. You know pick it up goes into first person at that point and then you have to try and navigate throwing the disc out and trying to compete on the pro tour circuit. I think that would be amazing. There's probably never going to be enough funding for it but damn it. You better have a release character in that game. I would buy that mod my guy
I've been looking for a new bag and we are the same size so this was very helpful. Rigidity is the main problem I have had with all of mine (all cheaper) so they slump backwards towards the top straps and aren't very stable. Which of these, or any others you have tried, would you say is the least likely to warp or tip over?
I started with a Trooper, but that darn thing absolutely refused to stay upright even on flat ground. When I couldn’t take it anymore I ended up getting an Innova Safari Pack. A few months in and I am still happy with it. It might not be quite as full featured as this, but it fits everything I need for a round. And it doesn’t fall over!
damn wish we had some bags like that for sale here! Here we mostly got low end innova bags and latitude64 bags on below 100$ So i hope we get some options like this to norway one day!
Disappointing to see you supporting Discology still. You should be aware of the type of person that's running the company. You can view his official Threads page and go to the post replies to see for yourself
What’s wrong with them? I had an issue with my disc back. Zipper broke, and they sent me a bag for free. Let me choose a different color. No questions asked. their customer support is great
Litteraly was watching your bag review from like 1 year ago today deciding for a bag under 100 and this comes out lol
If you think that Izzo makes you look like a turtle, you should see my 6 year old wearing mine 😂😂
Great info. Thanks for all the details
Love my discology OGV2

This video reminds me so clearly of the backpack kid from Ned’s declassified school survival guide
My wonderful wife just bought me an OGV2 and i love it. Pockets in pockets

Looks like a mini grip bag.

We are headed out to Colorado to play in the snow mountain challenge. What other course would you suggest while we are out there?

I can vouch for the V3. Solid bag
I have the v2 and my biggest complaint is the small top pockets for discs wish it was just one big one
I only Cary 5 disks do they make it much smaller?
I love my discology bag, honestly best bag I’ve ever had and I’ve had a bunch.
I don’t like made in china, how much more is the made in USA pound bag?
damn wish we had some bags like that for sale here! Here we mostly got low end innova bags and latitude64 bags on below 100$ So i hope we get some options like this to norway one day!
What is your code on Infinite?
I love my $100 disc mania bag I forget the name tho 😂
I'll stick with my Squatch bag. that curved disc lip is a deal breaker for me.
Does it stand upright good? Lol
Is this video sped up...?😮💨
Tell me you’re new to the channel without telling me you’re new to the channel. 😂
Listen at .75 speed and he sounds like a normal human speaking
That literally looks like a ripoff of the grip bag 😂
Grip-off
