Pero madalang talaga nagcocover ng bamboo songs nun. Iba kasi boses ni bamboo. Iba talaga kahit live napakalinis nila tumugtog! Actually, sila pinakamalinis tumugtog ng live. Kung ano yung record ganun din sila tumugtog sa live.

Fortunate to watch bamboo live twice in my lifetime. Nung una sa hardrock cafe sa makati around 2003 nung hindi pa sila kilala at irerelease pa lang ang kantang “noypi”. Second time di na kasama ni bamboo original band nya, sa chicago na in 2012 tas kinanta rin nya ung mga luma na rivermaya like “elesi” tsaka “kisapmata”.
I usually listen to songs when I drive and my music library is always on shuffle. So the other day when I was done with my grocery shopping and was on my way home, this song played. I suddenly felt very emotional. I would just like to share my experience on that day. The grocery store would open at 9AM and while waiting, there were chairs provided for us who were lining up to get inside (the required distance for social distancing was applied so no worries). A few more minutes till the opening, the Philippine National Anthem played and of course, as a citizen and we were all taught in school to pay respect not just to our National Flag but also to our National Anthem, I stood up from my seat. And I noticed that only a few of us were standing. I tried not to let it bother me that much. I didn't fully understood the lyrics of this song when I was younger. I just thought it was cool and because hey, it's Bamboo! But now with all these things happening to our country and with the current pandemic when I listened to this song after what happened that day, it hits differently.

Fortunate to watch bamboo live twice in my lifetime. Nung una sa hardrock cafe sa makati around 2003 nung hindi pa sila kilala at irerelease pa lang ang kantang “noypi”. Second time di na kasama ni bamboo original band nya, sa chicago na in 2012 tas kinanta rin nya ung mga luma na rivermaya like “elesi” tsaka “kisapmata”.
I usually listen to songs when I drive and my music library is always on shuffle. So the other day when I was done with my grocery shopping and was on my way home, this song played. I suddenly felt very emotional.
I would just like to share my experience on that day. The grocery store would open at 9AM and while waiting, there were chairs provided for us who were lining up to get inside (the required distance for social distancing was applied so no worries). A few more minutes till the opening, the Philippine National Anthem played and of course, as a citizen and we were all taught in school to pay respect not just to our National Flag but also to our National Anthem, I stood up from my seat. And I noticed that only a few of us were standing. I tried not to let it bother me that much.
I didn't fully understood the lyrics of this song when I was younger. I just thought it was cool and because hey, it's Bamboo! But now with all these things happening to our country and with the current pandemic when I listened to this song after what happened that day, it hits differently.

It's 2013 and I'm still listening. This is my favorite song from Bamboo.. I just miss this band so much! AHHHH! It brings back old memories. Their live stage was freaking awesome! How I wish they will reunite and perform on stage together again. Really, I miss them like hell!. MAN, reunion!!!
