I've had very similar dmt like experiences on mushrooms. The chemicals are very similar. I have a hypothesis that you can access the dmt space on psilocybin in under some circumstances.

When I was 19 I took shrooms, and it was like I was turned inside out. As a child, I was very extroverted and loved being around people. And after the shrooms, I felt disconnected from everyone and everything around me. I just wanted to alone. I am learning to feel happiness from within myself, not running from myself. It's been a LONG and PAINFUL process but once it's healed, it's healed and beautiful.

Psilocybin mushrooms have proven very effective in the treatment of various mental health issues. Helped me get out of years of depression and excessive alcohol use. My social anxiety is gone as well.

I had a moment on my first mushroom trip where i was lying in bed and lost total connection to my physical body. I felt as i was just a dot of energy on my pillow such a crazy feeling and made me smile, really realized that we are really nothing but energy and had an overwhelming feeling from that trip onwards.

I once took 5 grams of golden teachers and wow what a ride that was i was tripping bad seeing aztec pyramids every time i close my eyes and when i opened my eyes the walls were breathing and seeing a vortex of colours and lol not going to ever do that again but i did realized shrooms were something not to play around with. Lol things got better after 4 hours of being somewhere else.

I’ve taken over 10gs of mushrooms by myself and never had a experience like that and I have been doing them on and off for a while now
The only thing that I always find really unrealistic is that with psychedelics you can experience things that you actually "were not meant to see yet". Why should a mere chemical allow you such unauthorized access? Definitely a fascinating conclusion.
Think of it like this.. the world is already ridiculously crazy, and beyond comprehension as is. We're living among these beings, and so much more - but our human body is a vessel that filters out all this crazy stuff because it would be completely overwhelming if we were able to see it on a day to day basis.
It's just like how our ears literally take in vibrations and make them into the sounds we hear. Same thing with our eyes. They take in the light, and form what we see.
That's why certain animals can see and hear things we can't. Their senses take in information differently from us, and allow them to see and hear things we can't.
Now, imagine being completely one with the universe and seeing everything as it truly is. Where time doesn't exist, and we can see/understand it in it's true form.
Well, that's what psychedelics do. They remove you from this present realm of human comprehension, and allow you to 'see' the world as it is because we've broken the veil between realms and we are in our purest form - our soul form.
This world is all a test. Time doesn't exist. Beings truly live among us, but we can't see them since they're 4th dimensional beings, and higher. So, since our human body is limited to the 3rd dimension, and we're only able to see in 2D, we only see what this vessel of a human body allows us to see.
I can go deeper if you're still confused - I know it's quite difficult to comprehend. 😅

Anyone else remember when these shorts used to seem like real trip reports and not just a tired writer putting together what a "drug trip" should be like?
I think it depends on who’s doing the report. Think about different people recounting the same event, some are more articulate than others, some more dramatic than others, some more funny, some more serious, etc. Not sure if it a team of writers more than just the person. I will say though, this really did feel like a fake one. I’ve had some experiences with mushrooms with closed eyed visuals that replicate DMT and it has felt like I’ve been in entire different environments before, for sure, but this whole like narrative functioning with the spirit guide, the other guards, the constant advocating for. Idk it did seem really embellished. Not saying this woman did that intentionally either, her brain could have totally made up a lot of stuff recounting the experience, as does everyone’s brain with anything that they experience.

I think the key is to only ask to seek what will help you, perhaps gratitude was your lesson. I don’t believe not knowing is the only goal though. The portal gates totally ring true to me
This really reminds me of a speech by Kilindi Iyi where he talks about the difference between mushrooms and all the other psychedelics including DMT, LSD, peyote, etc. He said that all the others will show you how you are connected to nature and the Earth. Mushrooms will teach you how you are connected to the universe. I know many will say DMT is more potent, and I have never tried it, but from what I've heard from people like Kilindi Iyi and Paul Stamets, mushrooms can be as impactful or even more so than DMT. Of course, Kilindi Iyi was talking about taking 20, 30 even 50 dried grams!!! 😳😳😳

Why is it when I take large doses like 8-10grams I never get transported into the cosmos? I never see any entities but have crazy visuals
I did a 10 gram dry trip that basically had me experiencing an alternate reality. I had no idea what I was experiencing wasn’t real until I came back. If your going 10 grams and just having strong visuals you need to check your source

Has anyone any idea as to why shrooms- and some other things I've tried, be it on my own or with others, has no real affect on me other than feeling slightly buzzy? Ive even taken higher doses than others, but apart from feeling slightly high - and my body feeling rough, I don't experience anything. Disappointing to say the least.
