Sales have slowed a little since the start of the year, but crazy enough we are still better than last year this time. Happy to see your sales are doing well too. Thanks for reading the comments and mine. One thing you can always count on with you is you are sincere and honest. Great qualities for a reseller and content creator. Congrats on the cooking channel hitting 100k! You’re on your way to bigger and better things. Make sure you send Kevin the Silver Play button photos! 😂
Any information that you give is inspiring. Your “here is what I do”segments make it easy to see what can happen to you if you do this. Keep up the great work . A loyal listener and now inspired feature e-bay seller. Lookin for a good name to be posting as well. Any ideas other then Ai would be welcome.
Dave, you’re doing an awesome job with your new career. Don’t pay too much attention to the naysayers, a lot of what they have to say out loud is hidden envy. But meanwhile, even if for now it’s less money, making a priority of your wife and kids (and yourself, don’t forget) is ALWAYS a good strategy for a happy life. You can afford it and you did it! Good for you! 🎉🎉
I have had to say goodbye to 2 family members in the last year and a half...I am ALL for as much time with your family as possible and living a life that makes you happy and gives the freedom to do what you love. You will sort out the insurance side I have no doubt and I truly believe you are better off. Work to live, never live to work! ❤❤
I might try doing a theme park one day. You make it sound so exciting…but wait, I don’t like crowds at all, I hate going on rides, I don’t like lineups and food prices are ridiculous! Nope, I won’t be going, ever. Isn’t it great that we’re all so different? Celebrate the differences! 🎉
Dave just do whatever you’re happy doing! I love watching you, no one makes me laugh like you do! I’m sure if you felt financially you needed to do something different “we” would be the last people you’d be consulting! You definitely don’t want to be an old sick in the mud reseller like some of the guys you hang out with, and you know who I mean, lol 😂 You have an incredible sense of humor, your kind, compassionate and you care about the people you deal with, both buying and selling. Stay true to yourself, you know what you’re doing 💖
You may have made more money at your 9-5, but nothing beats doing what you love to do. Plus, having the freedom to spend more time with your family is priceless. I never miss any of your videos, and I'm a huge supporter of what you do. It's a little chaotic sometimes, but seeing you with your family brings me such joy. I wish you nothing but the best in 2025, and I hope you continue to grow because you definitely deserve it.
@@bd2864 Yes he does. It is extremely obvious what a great man Dave is through and through. He is one of the best Dads ever. His children are so happy it's obvious. He is so respectful to his wife. He loves her so much. It's obvious. How could you question that? Dave's entire family is one of the best I have ever seen. His Mom Dad wow awesome justblike him. Dave is a great family man. It's so obvious
Also, keep doing what makes you and your family happy. Love watching all of your channels. As a person who also has ADHD, I know the daily struggles. lol
I love your keto, Cooking Channel, and enjoying this one as well. I sold a beautiful ivory and satin stitch, poinsettia tablecloth on New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t believe it. I had it listed all December. This thing is heavy and gorgeous. No stains in perfect condition. But then it sold on New Year’s Eve. No of course I’m talking marketplace. I’m not a reseller yet but the second thing I want to say is I have an endless free supply of bubble wrap. I’m going to start selling shipping stuff on marketplace and I figured out I can charge half as much as getting it on the Internet And I don’t have to ship it. I can just meet somebody somewhere which I’m out and about anyway no big deal. But I think bubble wrap is branded so I’m going to use different language. I don’t know when the stuff is going to come because of my husband‘s job, so I’m going to get a good stock pile and then start. This money is going to go towards getting the right stuff to start eBay or even Poshmark. Whatever which led me to think about let’s say you have an item for $25 which forum are you going to make the most? I see people listing stuff on eBay and they get half of what it was listed for, when I could get 100% on marketplace if I’m lucky to sell it but I’m wondering can you make 60% on Poshmark and 65% on mercari versus eBay? I’m just wondering.
Here's what i don't understand. 90% of successful resellers were forced to be successful. They lost their job, quit their job, had family or health issues that makes a 9-5 impossible, yet 90% of those people will say "Dont quit your job". As a part-timer the ONLY reason I can't make a full-time income is I HAVE A JOB. A physically demanding job that takes up most of my time and energy. Without that I would not only have time, but also the pressure of making enough to pay bills would be motivating. I think its easier to be successful if you are forced to be.
How do you “not get around to” accepting an offer? If you see the offer, it’s a matter of clicking the button. Since this is your job, you make sure you “get around to it”
Thanks for reading my comment. 😊 On the keto topic, I was 200 lbs and had a bunch of health issues, including a previous heart attack. I got down to 160 lbs. I still do keto but not as extreme, more to maintain. I'm also now 135 lbs I'm no longer on insulin and my heart actually improved. Just do your own research and it wouldn't hurt to let your medical people know about it. They can help monitor things. Wish you the best of luck!
Don't most health insurance plans now have a huge out-of-pocket maximum that you have to meet before the insurance company starts paying for everything? I know out-of-pocket maximums were part of the Affordable Care Act, with the dollar amount going up every year. For 2025, it's $9,200 for individual and $18,400 for family coverage.
The fact is you know you shouldn’t have quit. You convinced me to keep doing what im doing. I sold $30k last yr. Lets say $10k profit. Having to pay $7000 for insurance in itself its reason enough to keep the full time job. Im ok w making less in sales and no, im not confident that I could 10X my sales if I quit. I lost my job for some time back then and I had on 2Xed
We have had the opposite journey in reselling. The better my main job became the less reselling I did. Honestly I am basically done with it. I have a few items left on eBay and I occasionally toss up a personal item for sale but I didn’t source once in 2024.
Same here, too many resellers since 2010 so the competition is strong, GW sells all the good stuff themselves online, no health/401k/paid vacation days.... Most people can make more with a decent job
I thought you couldn't list knives or was that on a different platform? I remember about a year ago your nephew listed some knives and you got in trouble.
I honestly quite Ebay last year. I honestly felt like I was making less than minimum wage. My husband job brings in a lot more money. We have a high deductible insurance plan through his work because it is cheaper for us most of the time. I honestly would prefer a PPO but the premiums are too high. My husband often times would love to quit his job but it pays the bills. if I did go back to online selling it honestly would only be part time unless I am retired. I just don’t want to deal with the headaches and problems with being a ebay seller. The economy the last few years has been all over the map. when you see businesses like big lots and Walgreens shutting-down stores or going out of business you know inflation has been a nightmare for everyone. keep a tradition job and just do eBay part time is the best thing to do in this economy. my husband company matches his 401k that is a benefit you will never get as a ebay seller.
Him having the freedom to take vacation whenever he wants and no ceiling to his earning potential. I’d say is something 9-5 folks don’t get. To each his own. I do agree start eBay part time and keep your day job until you build a bankroll, substantial enough to go full time. Which is achievable. Most do not have the patience.
Yes do Keto my Pcp Doctor with cleveland clinic is all for it, you won't die, I'm down 75 lbs couldn't feel better no more blood sugar and no more high blood pressure good luck try it enjoy your videos
When it comes down to it you and your wife are the ones who are supporting your family. If ebay selling and social media is getting that done then it's no one's business. If it isnt then pivot and add something back in.
If you don't have good health insurance and your wife can't get good health insurance, then you are potentially setting your family up for ruin so you can play on E-Bay. If you have kids, that is next level selfishness. You are one bad health issue, one car wreck away from your family loosing everything, including your home, to pay the medical bill. You have made an insane choice if that is the case. I guess I assumed your wife had good insurance through her employer and the family just moved over to that.
@@raewyn7618 Not entirely. What if E-Bay bans his account? Its outside his control, so what does his family do then? Maybe he could switch to WhatNot, but he's never shows that WhatNot can pull in that kind of revenue for him. He isn't doing anything to establish a brick and moror presence where maybe he could transition away from online if necessary. Hopefully he OP meant blip, and not blimp though...
Not sure what he did before exactly but it was something to do with video or sound in the movie industry possibly and his team won an Emmy so I’d say he has a pretty specialized skill. I think he most likely worked with sound in the film industry because he’s always worried about how the audio sounds on the podcast

So how much you claiming for taxes?
Just wanted to let you know that the Bissell Steam Shot has been recalled. Not sure if that is the exact one, but that happened this past year.

you also didn't mention any of the social media income.
True it’s about the same as my video last August except the cooking channel that one has gone from almost nothing to like 50k in a year

yes, just fix your schedule. I need to too because waking up at 11 am doesn't work.
No i would have never quit my job add 401 K, pension, and health insurance i was selling part time as a hobby stuck it out till i retired
From european viewpoint - where TF Americans find the money to cover that medical bills? Or even 850$ monthly insurance?! 😮
They get a job with good insurance or they in get debt and declare medical bankruptcy
you didn't include RUclips money
I’m a Disney parks fan also
KETO is fine, as long as you don't just eat bacon 💯 of the time!!😂
The big question are you happier now than when you working for the man😊
Why do you sell items for weird prices: 16,32. 15,46. 8,77... why not: 17. Or 16. Or 9.?
Most likely they are on a discount or a coupon is applied.
They are most likely sold on discount so eBay applies the percentage you choose and then calculates the price. Hence, the "weird" prices. ✌
👍🏻
I lost 47lbs since July. I am doing low calorie. Do what works for you. You know what will kill you? Obesity
Dave, my brother in-law is a little older than you and he does really well with keto.
Don't sweat the keto diet. No matter what you do, it's going to kill you 🤣
Hi Dave, please use your ladder, the way you stretch to reach your merchandise is really not good for you back!
If you’re an expert of sorts on cameras, maybe consider doing a focus video to teach others that skill. Please? 😂
Your next RUclips name should be Super Dave
dave your future is that decision only of you and your wife a comment is what it is a comment you are able to choose the right decision
maybe commonwealthy picker sent it? lol
Wishing you a happy and successful 2025, with many blessings !!
Actually it’s not anyone’s business what you really make. And yes it might help someone else make that decision but details no.
Dave, go back to numbered boxes. Your ADHD doesn't make for a very organized mind. My daughter has it too.
First!
No one in their right mind would give up a 6 figure income to be a reseller or RUclips reseller which you are mainly a RUclipsr .
