Reports say the US and Iraq are going to begin talks about the withdrawal of American troops from the West Asian country. US military personnel have been in Iraq since 2014. They went to Iraq again after withdrawing in 2011. The second deployment was to defeat the terror group ISIS. Now that ISIS has been defeated, the presence of US troops is a political headache for Iraq's Prime Minister. Will the US listen to him and leave? Palki Sharma tells you.

It’s not about oil, oil is insignificant asset, it’s about US being unable to control non democratic nations and consider them as threat against its influence over the world, hence china and Russia are biggest enemies of US, so US cannot leave unless they establish a puppet government in Iraq, hence even Iran is under threat of US invasion as public sentiments are against the regime and that gives US the green signal to invade in the name of saving the people but actually eliminating enemy according to its geopolitics.
The US in the region is like a friend who overstays his welcome and whom you eventually have no choice but to lead him out of the door !

We have been extracting and selling oil from iraq in the international market for as long as we've been involved militarily in the region. We receive 80% of Iraq's oil revenue and give the remaining 20% as a discretionery payment, so sometimes their government gets it, sometimes they don't, which is why Iraq has gone from a strong near 1st world country with excellent infrastructure to it's present state.
Even if the injustice of these circumstances don't move you, ask yourself, if they have been extracting oil and selling it for so long on the open market, why do we pay so much for energy costs in the US?
The reality is we are the bad guys in the world. Any excuse we have to go to developing and militarily weak countries and stir the pot and cause political unrest so we can extract their resources and our rich can get richer, we take it. It's just now that the younger generation have seen how the sauce is made and want no part of it.
