This car has found a very good home in England and it really is as good as it looks here.
I love this car, she's one of my favorites for this period, especially the Airflyte of 1949 and 1950,, all round, soft and cute,, like a golden fish, The Ambassador Hydra-Matic of 1951 is more elegant, more stylish maybe, but still gorgeous and appealling. Good old time, did you say ?.... 😘🤩😗 Thanks for sharing this.
As a kid in (San Diego county) high school, 1966, I bought a 50 Nash Statesman (battleship grey) from my friend's father for $20. Drove it for part of my junior school year and all summer until the oil pump quit and motor locked up. I think my dad had it towed to the junk yard since it was considered an eye sore in out neighborhood. Anyway, it was a hoot to drive around mostly for laughs. Now I wish I still had the car.
Nice Nash I have a 1949 Nash ambassador.also.1950...1951..53.54.56 i.m a Nash.... Empty playground sad I play on every ride on that playground as a child brought back memories thank you.
Couldn't tell it was running till you opened the hood. Nice ride.

I'm a year older than this car and remember seeing one on the street when I was maybe four or five and just stared at it as it drove by. Every car in our neighbor hood was forties as I remember. But I did read somewhere that someone liked it liked this one to an upside down bath tub.
I was born in 1949 too, and those were the days when people were able to repair their own cars. Then they put computers under the hood in the late '70's which only propriety equipment at expensive dealer garages could read, and put many backyard mechanics and independent garages out of business. You didn't need to be much of a mechanic to tuneup and otherwise repair a car in the 1950's. They were SO Simple to repair, just like this beauty.

Too bad Nash Kelvinator didn't bring their straight 8 back from the war. Just think how well an 8 cyl version of this car would have sold.
Sehr schönes und seltenes Auto. Wo haben Sie das gefunden ? Liebe Grüße aus Bremen/Germany
Is the car still available? Please PM if so. Thank you
Has the car been sold yet?
