The show may be hot garbage but you cant deny the sets Mega made for it are stellar. The printed decals on the figures & many peices are just great. Makes all of the figures heros quality even the marine with the small UNSC prints
Just more covenant vehicles and builds in general more covenant sets phantoms ghosts banshees scarabs wraiths halo wars buildings spirits locust vampire
I’ll probably buy the Banshee for the elite and the warthog for Silver Team, hopefully we get a condor for S2. About the show, like you, I have many problems with it, but honestly, if you ignore actual Halo canon, it’s not bad, i personally enjoyed it (except ep 8)
I just found these at Walmart today and I never see mega construx Halo anymore so I had to jump and get all 3. The Halo show was absolutely horrendous but these sets are all solid and a great beginners set to a collection
Even the show is questionnable, I'm excited to get my fleetcom warthog next week. I think the figures are good, they are accurate and even pablo schreiber's head (no matter how its hard for us how chief is portrayed on the show 😅)
I'm sure you probably know this by now but as of about a week ago from when i'm posting this, the shoulder pieces on vannek are now the correct one in newer warthog sets
Its wild how people say the Warthog is overpriced. You get 5 figures, 2 side builds, and a main build that uses a lot of pieces. In general, I think these sets are amazing. I would have added a second figure to the Mongoose and it sucks that they permanently screwed up the Banshee cockpit to make the midfinite one but over all these sets are great. I think people should give them a chance instead of just writing them off just because they are from the show.
@@DemarcationMedia I agree but its still an issue none the less. One that hurts mostly for the fact of what it means rather than how much it actually hurts the design of the set itself.
I think if mega does a bigger set for the series it will probably be that transport vessel they arrived on the artifact planet with and the same one from the fall of reach episode, will probably contain Halsey, Miranda, Keyes, Perez and a couple other marines hell they might even toss in Kwan. If they do go ahead with sets based on season 2 they might do some small team packs like the building construxs maybe one of cobalt team with a figure of Var Gatanai and possibly makee, you can certainly bet there will be a construxs pack of the Spartan 3’s with character heads for Perez and that other girl that was the fireteam leader for Javelin squad if they don’t include Perez in another set they could opt to make her into a Heroes single figure pack, they could also do the mutiny scene where Var gatanai and his loyalists along with makee face off against Uto Mdama, they could do a heroes versus with chief and Var, one thing I would like is a construx pack with that smug fleetcom lady officer and a squad of those fleetcom marines in all black those looked pretty cool. There’s not many more sets that Mega could create exclusively for the series that hasn’t already been made.
Oh believe me, Mega could make all sorts of random things from the series if they wanted to. I would guess we'll see some SPI figs from the show at some point, because they made the SPI molds
I do really want the Banshee set simply because it’s essentially the Halo Reach Banshee which is my favorite version of the Banshee. And the Elite figure looks kinda cool. But the rest I don’t care for at all except maybe the Forerunner artifact.
The sets are solid, hitting that Mega quality we expect from Halo Heroes figures. Prices are fair, offering great value (way better than Lego). The Banshee looks cool; as you mentioned, it's quite similar to the Halo Reach version, making it a great fit for a Reach diorama. The Warthog is raw, as per usual. The issues? The combination of scarcity and declining quality poses a serious threat to the brand. The difficulty in finding these products, along with problems like figures falling apart, faces and visors rubbing off, and missing pieces, contributes to the growing negative perception of the Mega brand. This erosion of the brand's reputation has consequences for its viability in the market (no more product in stores). However, with the surprising success of the show, hopefully, these TV show sets can hit store shelves and bring Mega Halo back to the mainstream. It would be awesome to see a 6-figure pack with Captain Keyes, some marines, elites, and the cool jackals with the wrist swords. Imagine a final battle set with all 3 Prophets and some Honor Guards!
Something that we all like to forget is, Mega's reputation hasn't actually eroded. Pokemon and Hotwheels flood store shelves, all from Mega. The brand has plenty of viability for the retail market. I see Pokemon and Hotwheels in Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreen, Hobby Lobby, you name it, there will probably be Mega there. Just no Halo. Halo is the thing that no longer has retail viability, by all appearances. Mega, Jazwares, those weird little dome collectibles, all gone. So no, Mega is in no real threat, at least from outward appearances. It's really just the Halo theme that's struggling. Halo and the stuff that Mega aims towards older fans, because Mattel is notorious for mismanagement
@@DemarcationMedia You're right, I should've worded my original comment more carefully. However, my main concern revolves around the Halo theme, and it's evident that many who focus solely on the Halo IP share similar worries about distribution and popularity. I've seen numerous comments expressing frustration about poor distribution, and unfortunately, it's fueling the scalping issue. The sets all look good. But what isn't good is Amazon's official price for the Warthog tho... That is overpriced as hell. The are selling it for like £65. And this isn't a secondary distributor it is coming from Amazon.
I'm surprised they put the whole Silver team into one set. Mega used to split up the cast. With these sets released, Mega is doing more promo for the show than the game. I was expecting Silver cosmetic event pass in game last year. The Mongoose is a waste. Too generic. Love or hate Kwan, she should be in the Mongoose set. The UNSC soldier should be in a different set with several others along with Captain Keys. Next series of sets can have a Condor with Miranda Keys, a smaller set with Halsey in her lab, and some sort of set that takes place on High Charity or even a High Charity display model like one of the ships.
I actually liked it due to it focusing on the insurgents faction and focusing on the UNSC elements. Something I was hoping to see in a halo live action film or game in a long time just like how the books focused on those aspects
I think I've said this before possibly, but if they had actually leaned into that and no done the 'oh hey guys, remember CHIEF? You want to see his FACE right? How about MORE than his face!' Leaving the Spartans as mysterious, even terrifying figures to the Innies, having Marines and ODSTs leading the charge and KEEP the Spartans a mystery until the Halo is unveiled. Then you bring the Spartans to light as the last hope.
The show was okay. Not good by anymeans but it brought interesting designs. I actually want the Keyes duo in Mega form. Not because the characters were interesting(because they werent) but because I would like some more officers. (Warning if you are offended by not very PC things as this is blunt and can be taken as offensive) I dont want racially diverse Miranda or Captian Keyes. It is not accurate to ingame. However, I wouldnt mind diverse officers. Having a TV show Keyes duo would be great because those who like the show have a Keyes duo. Those who dont have UNSC officers
I do agree about the interesting designs. The Spartans, for the most part, look great. And I also agree that the race swap for the Keyes was...not a good choice. Why do that when Halo has Sergeant Johnson?? They're making Keyes take Johnson's place, or that's how it feels to me. Why did they just scrap Johnson entirely??
@@DemarcationMedia Yes, this is exactly what I was thinkng. Johnson was the most badass character in all of media, and the only man who truly knows what the ladies like.

I share the criticism regarding the Spartans in the TV show not reflecting the rigorous training depicted in the books. Disrespecting the actors' appearances is unwarranted, especially considering their dedication seen in behind-the-scenes videos, which showcase training with real military instructors.
