You can't blame them though, first showcase of their game through tournament format with just one or two factions being played would be dreadful. They wanna make sure there is some decent representation!
Man you are so lucky you haven't played the campaign mission 18 yet (Tamarisk tree cutting for an Osiris piece, was probably the hardest one in Retold), because now after this patch it's drastically easier and doable almost even blindfolded. You saved yourself from one headache at least :D.

Ra just has 'sounds good' buffs but doesn't solve the problems we have...while the general Heroic age build time nerf is just slapping a dong on our face ugh.
Atlanteans should get rams in 3rd age. You have to defend age 2 and you can't even push age 3. Behemoths are useless if your oponent knows how to right click them with heroes.
try that vs hades or anyone who spams ranged in age 3. Ranged blob will destroy them in building chokepoits and you will loose them with nearly 0 damage done even you have stronger army. Not to mention you cant outproduce from 1-2 castles vs 5+ archery ranges in all-in scenario.
I didn't see any mention of them fixing the throwing animation bugs for Cyclops, kraken and Gargarensis. (for the cyclops, units they pick up float above the hand, same with the kraken, and Gargarensis doesn't even pick up the unit he throws. God knows how _THAT_ made it out of beta). Not sure i like the Fortification nerf.
I would prefer they buff all myth units and greatly increase their pop cost. It doesn't feel very mythical when armies are mostly myth units. Large human armies augmented by a few myth units make them feel more special.
@@chinoborrego4828As the ages progress, myth units get stronger. They should increase this buff. Human armies in the classic age and mythical armies in the mythic age makes more sense.
way TOO many Greek nerfs. Odin still broken, Set still broken. Meteor still broken. Longer fast Heroic fcks Atlantean hard. What a dumb job from the devs. They are clowns.
Greeks were by far the strongest, needed some attention. Best thing is aom now has a dev team constantly working on patches, so even if the nerf is too much they can revert it in the next one.
Whlie it's a little poorly timed keep in mind this is more support than AOM EE got for most of its lifespan
AOE2 is still getting ongoing support, balance changes, DLC, patches, events, etc, so I'm expecting the same here.

When I get to that level I'll revert to the oldest patch, as everyone has said that mission is impossible and I want to try it!

Yes. There's also a few changes to some campaign missions themselves, especially mission 18.

Heroic timing is definitely an indirect nerf to Ra, he probably needed more of a buff. But the croc divine damage helps him out
Ra needs better scouting for starters. At least that would help his early game.

They already do... What do you think Destroyers are in the 3rd age? Destroyers are Siege/anti-building focused infantry.

Myth units are finally viable, don't want to nerf them too much and just have full human unit armies.
