this song is actually about his childhood friend he accidentally killed when he was younger. the friend was trying to scare melly by staging a home invasion. melly thought it was real and shot before realizing it was his friend. that’s why the song says “i didn’t even mean to shoot him he just caught me by surprise “, there’s another song called “mind on my murder” it talks about the perspective of the friend who died and mentions how he was only ten as well as how a home invasion cost him his life.
