Tori has very good volume on her lows. Ari has good technique on her mixing/belting. Tori and Ari both have great whistles. They both have healthy techniques. Tori has the best agility of the 21st century with Avery Wilson. I just spotted out the differences between the two singers(Tori&Ari.)
I didn’t agree! I think both of them have insane highs. Both of them navigate absolutely phenomenally. However, for Tori, I feel the balance between each of her registers is more controlled. When we talk about Tori, we don’t just say who high high notes are insane. We say her, runs, her highs, her belting and mixing, but last bit not least her lows. Her lows are so warm and full and on her voice with body that it always shocks me and that is the register Ariana does not have as much presence in. For me, it’s Ariana tone and color in her top that makes her stand out. It is just very seamless. However, the both navigate that upper range so well.

People tend to believe that an underrated vocalist would always be interesting more than a famous vocalist. For me, Ariana's works are all amazing. She has tons of underrated songs that people don't pay attention to... About Tori, I did try to listen to her albums but I have to skip a lot 🥲😅

Reminder: This is my opinion so I could be wrong or right. I am not a professional in terms of these types of things also and if I am wrong just correct me. But if you're triggered, just leave my comment, peace. Lower Register: For me, Tori ate this BIG time. Ari is on good level while Tori is at a super impressive level for me. The fact that Tori is consistent up to Eb3, if I am not wrong. She can still project good down to a lower note of C#3. Her C3 is also decent but her B2 is already super airy which is understandable. Belting(Mid register) For me in this area, I think it is totally subjective since both do have great techmique. But I still choose Tori, I think this is where her voice starts to bloom, I think she can extend it tho if she will be able to develop her upper range. Ari is also impressive but she uses a different technique. But both are good. Upper range:(Belting/Mixing) For this one, it is clearly for Ari. Ari is super impressive in this area lf her voice. Tori is also good but nowhere near at Ari's level. Hopefully Tori also would develop her mix someday, although both are improving a lot which I love. Head voice and whistle: I would also give this to Ari. Ari's hv sounds better for me and I think she executes better technique than Tori. Although Tori is a better user of transitions on her hv, it sounds smoother for me. In terms of whistle, Ari ate this big time also. Tori don't really use this part of her voice, hopefully she'll explore more about her voice too. Again, this is for Ari, she has WAAAYY better technique and control on whistle: Riffs and runs: For me, I would still consider Tori as a far better riffer than Ari. She(Ari) can do runs but if we consider speed and accuracy, control, and musicality, then we can see that Ari is still far behind Tori. Speed? I think ari can execute fast runs. Accuracy? She may be fast but not as accurste as Tori's. Control? Well we know how controlled Tori's runs are. Musicality? Well we also know that Tori execute's many different runs on a different performances live in just one song. For example her performances on Funny or Nobody Love. For Tori fans out there, I hope we get to see Tori's major upper range development, her development in her whistle register also and so has her control in her head voice.
The best vocalists of this generation I love Ariana’s tone and sheer power of her voice but Tori is absolutely amazing as well and I would consider her a better technical vocalist.
Tbh , tori Kelly I believe has the better Head Voice both her and Ariana have underdeveloped head voices but Tori Kelly has more control in that register having access up to F6 displayed so far. Ariana utilizes the same runs often to ascend up the scale in her head voice she does not apply vibrato or sustain it she normally shouts out her top head notes when singing them. Tori Kelly has showcased runs up to and down from her head voice, along with vibrato and adding squalls to her head voice. Same with whistle register, Ariana has never used her whistle register live with out suspension, Tori Kelly can be seen using this register live , using this register with runs and vibrato showing control. She has also showcased with her whistle register good projection and airyness which exemplifies dynamic control
Tori has the range but i don't think she has the good quality yet even on E5 she already sounds shirl compared to Kelly Clarkson who has a real good head voice in pop Ariana infact has way better control than Tori in head voice

I completely disagree though that Ariana has better head voice control than Tori, with examples that I provided already. Ariana does not add vibrato, she does not sustain, she uses runs to ascend to her peak head notes so technically gliding unto the note and is not consistently agile in that range. @@allykelly to add vibrato to a note means that the note is being properly supported especially to have an even vibrato, means the note is free of tension. To sustain a note means that the singer singing the note has good breath control and is singing a note well within control of their range. To add air into any note is just dynamic control, Tori often will manipulate the sound of her head voice adding a stylistic squall into it but I’m not sure where you have heard too much air coming out of her head voice especially any more air than Ariana’s….because her head voice is quite thick especially as she ascends higher. She may often have a shrill and wide sound to it I.E (when the doves cry) or (talk live at jimmy fallon) but that could be because of placement or stylistic choice.

They're both incredible! I know ppl will disagree (and I don't care), but I prefer Tori's upper belts. I like power belters, and Ari mixes so much head voice that her belts are so much lighter. So, sure: it's more consistent and easier for her, but it loses the power. Like, compared to Tori, Demi, JoJo, Jennifer Hudson... I prefer all of those big, fuller, power belts. Normally, I wouldn't even make the comparison, but when you look at the greatest vocalists that have clearly shaped them all (Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Beyoncé, Aretha) they are much fuller and poweful, too. Past an Eb5, Ari is too light from the heavy head voice. So, it sometimes loses impact.
I disagree and feels as though Ariana shines more in her upper register than Tori. Also, idc for Tori’s tone in her upper register same goes for some women listed as well. @briannaaudain928 Eh, if we're talking about the big, "money" notes in a power ballad, power *is* better. Look at a song like "Listen" by Beyoncé. 100% that song requires the grit, power, and raw emotion Beyoncé sang it with. Singing it with a soft, heady-mix belt would not sound right. Ari covering "Saving All My Love" or "All By Mself" or "All I Want for Christmas is You" or "We Belong Together" will never carry the weight of Whitney, Mariah, or Celine's versions because her belt is so much lighter, and not just because her voice is lighter- Tori's is just as light, but she mixes enough chest voice to not lose the fullness. Ari loses power in her belts bc it's very heavy on the head voice. Like, that's the *only* area I prefer other vocalists: the belt (well, and agility). Ari has insane pipes, but many of her contemporaries (Tori, JoJo, Demi, Jessie J, etc) have bigger, fuller belts than she does, and it shows when she sings with other belt-happy singers. If it weren't for her whistle notes, she would have been entirely washed out of the trio she did with Mariah & Jennifer Hudson, and even Kelly Clarkson very easily overpowered her on their duet. It's ultimately down to personal taste, and some people do like softer vocals. I just think, based on the covers she's done and the lane they put her in, Ari and most of her stans see her as a "power vocalist," and I do not. She's INCREDIBLY talented and gifted, but personally, I think she loses fullness of her belt past an Eb5, and I don't love softer, head-heavy belts except for in her own music where she csn style it to suit her voice.

I definitely disagree with the head voice portion for both of them. Both of them definitely have and consistently use head voice. And the things they do that high in their voice shows they have control of that part of their voices. They would need to have a well developed head voice to have the mixing capabilities they do. They’ve both demonstrated the use of vocal dynamics and the use of agility in their upper register. So it’s absolutely not underdeveloped. Ariana does still win the category for me because her tone is my preference than Tori’s. But technically speaking, these two are VERY close. Tori edges out Ariana in agility and low notes, and it’s not even close there. But upper belting is definitely Ariana’s lane. Her technique is EXCELLENT up there because she can go on long tours back to back using that mixing technique and not lose her voice or cause vocal damage. That is solid proof of good voice technique. If the voice remains consistent in quality and can withstand crazy touring, it’s reliable and sustainable technique.
1. Tori hasn't done hv with proper closure her hv is mostly aspirate and thin. Ariana showed some decent hv in wicked at least so she wins in that If we compare their head voice to Whitney Houston, Celine Dion their hvs are underdeveloped 2. Ariana's upperbelt isn't excellent or great her technique isn't even polished. Just because she has more ease than Tori above E5 doesn't mean Ari is free from unnecessary tension. Ari had vocal decline in early 2021 after sweetener era she started to sounds throaty there but now her voice got better since it's well rested. Overall Tori wins but the gap is definitely very visible
I agree with your conclusion, but I think you didn't give enough credit to Ariana's upper belts/mixed voice and head voice. Her upper belts/mixed notes are mostly free, and she has a really great control and ease on them. Her head voice is definitely as not full as Jona or Whitney, but I really don't think she needs one.. it's a great pop, light head voice. Her control, ease and consistency are really good. Other than that, I agree. Nice video!

Hi Ally Kelly would u updated about Lily, Ningning,Monday,yechan and Yunjin "consistent range" (lows,belting,and headvoice) Cause I saw some random comments in saying Lily is consistent with D5/Eb5 in belting and full G5 in headvoice. With Ningning is consistent up to C5/C#5 in belting, Monday is consistent up to B4/C5 in belting,Yechan is consistent up to C5/C#5 and lastly Yunjin, who's consistent up to Bb4/B4 in belting with G#5 in headvoice. Even someone says that Lily's headvoice is stronger than yunjin since she still engage with chest muscles which for me is kinda iffy and doubtful.

i agree with everything you said my love but i’m sorry i respect your decision whole heartedly, but ariana has great head voice and far from mediocre, the control she has over her head voice is noticeable when she was singing bad idea live . and for the belting i feel like you could have used better clips of ariana grande singing . although her belting isn’t as powerful as tori’s it’s technically better than tori.

She has good control over her mid-belts and it is more balanced, consistent, accessible, and more tensionless than people assume resulting in an open, free, well-projected, and controlled sound consistently especially from G#4-D5. Upper-belts/mix: (7/10) As a soprano like her, her ease and control in this area are good. She may not be the very best and the pinnacle of upper-belting out there, as some of her diehard fans tend to believe, but her consistency and stamina in this area is no joke. Although not consistently, she produces the best and balanced quality from Eb5-F5. As she goes higher beyond F5, she tends to sound thinner but still often avoids straining and too much tension up to G#5 (her signature upper-belting/mix note). However, she loses consistency when she reaches A5 and above which can sometimes be prone to tension, although this doesn't happen much as she was still able to possess a decent quality up to Bb5 especially in her be my baby and breathin performances most of the time. This ease and consistency in her upper-belting range is due to her heady approach with her mix and mixed-belts. Nowadays, she utilizes a more balanced approach (balanced head and chest mix) to her upper-belts/mix especially in her thank u, next and yours truly era. This balanced approach is evidently showcased especially in her sweetener tour and 2023 yours truly 10 year anniversary live performance where she produced a decent but balanced mix. Upper-register (head voice and falsetto): (7.5/10) Contrary to popular belief, Ariana utilzes her head voice just as much as she utilizes her falsetto. Her falsetto is probably one of the best that pop music has to offer. It is polished, smooth, controlled, and easily accessible. On the other hand, her head voice is also good and is consistently well-coordinated and connected up to A5. Performances such as moonlight, thinkin bout you, be alright, get well soon, and many more including song covers such as no one mourns the wicked and I wanna dance with somebody showcases her control and consistency in her head voice. She may not possess the best and most developed head voice in the music industry, but she can still keep up. Her head voice possesses a bright, strong, and roundness quality consistently up to F#5 and sometimes up to A5. However, her head voice can sometimes sound airy which limits her true potential. Further analysis with her head voice after the wicked (2024) movie will come out with her role as Glinda the good witch. Vocal Agility: (7.5/10) This may be the vocal skill she possess that has consistently improved over the years. She may not be as good as the best riffers out there like Mariah Carey, Tori Kelly, Beyonce, JoJo, and many others, but her vocal agility is definitely above average and is an integral part of her singing style. She can consistently execute vocal riffs and runs that are precise, fast, and complex with good creativity and musicality. The only downside is that there are few performances where she sounds pitchy and unstable and her vocal runs are sometimes repetitive. Lastly, during her early years, she tends to move her jaw a lot and fortunately, she got rid of that habit almost entirely. Whistle register: (9.5/10) One of the best whistle register user in her generation. Able to control her whistle with ease and is also able to create vocal runs and vocal phrases with it. Vocal Dynamics: (6.5/10) She has showcased vocal dynamics from time to time where she sang from pianissimo up to fortissimo. This is greatly showcased in her 2023 yours truly 10 year anniversary live performance. However, there are very rare cases of her showcasing crescendo and decresendo. Vibrato: (10/10) Her vibrato is one of the most controlled and well-developed that pop music has to offer. It can range from soft/subtle to aggressive/intense and can even shift to it smoothly. This great vibrato is also evident throughout all her register especially in her belts and upper-register. Vocal transition: (9/10) Able to easily and smoothly transition between registers from chest to head to whistle and with great control. Pitch: (8/10) Her wide vocal range allows her to hit high notes and low notes with good pitch accuracy. She rarely gets off-key and goes sharp/flat. Note: this analysis is based on an educated opinion and knowledge about vocals and music. Hence, this analysis is based on what I hear from the vocalist's live performances throughout the years. So feel free to politely disagree. Overall: 79.5/100 Overall comment: She is not as bad as critics say she is and also not as great as diehard fans made her out to be. Her development is distributed fairly evenly throughout range with her mid-belts and upper-register being currently the most developed register. Fortunately, notes beyond her consistency are rarely strained, tensed, or weak. Lastly, her biggest asset may be her whistle register, musicality/creativity, vocal transition, and vibrato.
I think Ariana is more polished. She seems to have more ease and consistency. Ariana is obviously more trained than Tori. Tori ,however, has better M1 and M2 development quite frankly. Tori also has better musicality and pitch. Honestly, I think they are evenly matched. Tori may edge out just a little bit.

Tori has received training but not nearly as much as Ariana. Ariana has been professionally trained since she was a kid. I can't see Tori singing any classical genre with her thinner vibrato and chestiness. However, Ariana's voice fits a lot more genres which makes sense due to her immense training. @@allykelly Actually, this has been spoken on by many experts. Jaw movement CAN affect you negatively if inexperienced and untrained, which Ariana isn't. In Ariana's case, it has no effect and shows to just be something she does out of satisfaction or to look good. Similar to Whitney with her vibrato.

I didn’t agree! I think both of them have insane highs. Both of them navigate absolutely phenomenally. However, for Tori, I feel the balance between each of her registers is more controlled. When we talk about Tori, we don’t just say who high high notes are insane. We say her, runs, her highs, her belting and mixing, but last bit not least her lows. Her lows are so warm and full and on her voice with body that it always shocks me and that is the register Ariana does not have as much presence in. For me, it’s Ariana tone and color in her top that makes her stand out. It is just very seamless. However, the both navigate that upper range so well.

Lower Register:
For me, Tori ate this BIG time. Ari is on good level while Tori is at a super impressive level for me. The fact that Tori is consistent up to Eb3, if I am not wrong. She can still project good down to a lower note of C#3. Her C3 is also decent but her B2 is already super airy which is understandable.
Belting(Mid register)
For me in this area, I think it is totally subjective since both do have great techmique. But I still choose Tori, I think this is where her voice starts to bloom, I think she can extend it tho if she will be able to develop her upper range. Ari is also impressive but she uses a different technique. But both are good.
Upper range:(Belting/Mixing)
For this one, it is clearly for Ari. Ari is super impressive in this area lf her voice. Tori is also good but nowhere near at Ari's level. Hopefully Tori also would develop her mix someday, although both are improving a lot which I love.
Head voice and whistle:
I would also give this to Ari. Ari's hv sounds better for me and I think she executes better technique than Tori. Although Tori is a better user of transitions on her hv, it sounds smoother for me. In terms of whistle, Ari ate this big time also. Tori don't really use this part of her voice, hopefully she'll explore more about her voice too. Again, this is for Ari, she has WAAAYY better technique and control on whistle:
Riffs and runs:
For me, I would still consider Tori as a far better riffer than Ari. She(Ari) can do runs but if we consider speed and accuracy, control, and musicality, then we can see that Ari is still far behind Tori. Speed? I think ari can execute fast runs. Accuracy? She may be fast but not as accurste as Tori's. Control? Well we know how controlled Tori's runs are. Musicality? Well we also know that Tori execute's many different runs on a different performances live in just one song. For example her performances on Funny or Nobody Love.
For Tori fans out there, I hope we get to see Tori's major upper range development, her development in her whistle register also and so has her control in her head voice.

Tbh , tori Kelly I believe has the better Head Voice both her and Ariana have underdeveloped head voices but Tori Kelly has more control in that register having access up to F6 displayed so far. Ariana utilizes the same runs often to ascend up the scale in her head voice she does not apply vibrato or sustain it she normally shouts out her top head notes when singing them. Tori Kelly has showcased runs up to and down from her head voice, along with vibrato and adding squalls to her head voice. Same with whistle register, Ariana has never used her whistle register live with out suspension, Tori Kelly can be seen using this register live , using this register with runs and vibrato showing control. She has also showcased with her whistle register good projection and airyness which exemplifies dynamic control
Tori has the range but i don't think she has the good quality yet even on E5 she already sounds shirl compared to Kelly Clarkson who has a real good head voice in pop

I completely disagree though that Ariana has better head voice control than Tori, with examples that I provided already. Ariana does not add vibrato, she does not sustain, she uses runs to ascend to her peak head notes so technically gliding unto the note and is not consistently agile in that range. Whereas all of this is the complete opposite for Tori.

To sustain a note means that the singer singing the note has good breath control and is singing a note well within control of their range. To add air into any note is just dynamic control, Tori often will manipulate the sound of her head voice adding a stylistic squall into it but I’m not sure where you have heard too much air coming out of her head voice especially any more air than Ariana’s….because her head voice is quite thick especially as she ascends higher. She may often have a shrill and wide sound to it I.E (when the doves cry) or (talk live at jimmy fallon) but that could be because of placement or stylistic choice.

They're both incredible!
I know ppl will disagree (and I don't care), but I prefer Tori's upper belts. I like power belters, and Ari mixes so much head voice that her belts are so much lighter. So, sure: it's more consistent and easier for her, but it loses the power. Like, compared to Tori, Demi, JoJo, Jennifer Hudson... I prefer all of those big, fuller, power belts. Normally, I wouldn't even make the comparison, but when you look at the greatest vocalists that have clearly shaped them all (Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Beyoncé, Aretha) they are much fuller and poweful, too. Past an Eb5, Ari is too light from the heavy head voice. So, it sometimes loses impact.
I disagree and feels as though Ariana shines more in her upper register than Tori. Also, idc for Tori’s tone in her upper register same goes for some women listed as well. I think she just like “powerful” belters but “powerful” isn’t always better and vice versa. Finally, I respect your opinion though lol.
@briannaaudain928 Eh, if we're talking about the big, "money" notes in a power ballad, power *is* better. Look at a song like "Listen" by Beyoncé. 100% that song requires the grit, power, and raw emotion Beyoncé sang it with. Singing it with a soft, heady-mix belt would not sound right. Ari covering "Saving All My Love" or "All By Mself" or "All I Want for Christmas is You" or "We Belong Together" will never carry the weight of Whitney, Mariah, or Celine's versions because her belt is so much lighter, and not just because her voice is lighter- Tori's is just as light, but she mixes enough chest voice to not lose the fullness. Ari loses power in her belts bc it's very heavy on the head voice. Like, that's the *only* area I prefer other vocalists: the belt (well, and agility).
Ari has insane pipes, but many of her contemporaries (Tori, JoJo, Demi, Jessie J, etc) have bigger, fuller belts than she does, and it shows when she sings with other belt-happy singers. If it weren't for her whistle notes, she would have been entirely washed out of the trio she did with Mariah & Jennifer Hudson, and even Kelly Clarkson very easily overpowered her on their duet. It's ultimately down to personal taste, and some people do like softer vocals. I just think, based on the covers she's done and the lane they put her in, Ari and most of her stans see her as a "power vocalist," and I do not. She's INCREDIBLY talented and gifted, but personally, I think she loses fullness of her belt past an Eb5, and I don't love softer, head-heavy belts except for in her own music where she csn style it to suit her voice.

I definitely disagree with the head voice portion for both of them.
Both of them definitely have and consistently use head voice. And the things they do that high in their voice shows they have control of that part of their voices. They would need to have a well developed head voice to have the mixing capabilities they do. They’ve both demonstrated the use of vocal dynamics and the use of agility in their upper register. So it’s absolutely not underdeveloped.
Ariana does still win the category for me because her tone is my preference than Tori’s. But technically speaking, these two are VERY close.
Tori edges out Ariana in agility and low notes, and it’s not even close there.
But upper belting is definitely Ariana’s lane. Her technique is EXCELLENT up there because she can go on long tours back to back using that mixing technique and not lose her voice or cause vocal damage. That is solid proof of good voice technique. If the voice remains consistent in quality and can withstand crazy touring, it’s reliable and sustainable technique.
1. Tori hasn't done hv with proper closure her hv is mostly aspirate and thin. Ariana showed some decent hv in wicked at least so she wins in that
If we compare their head voice to Whitney Houston, Celine Dion their hvs are underdeveloped
2. Ariana's upperbelt isn't excellent or great her technique isn't even polished. Just because she has more ease than Tori above E5 doesn't mean Ari is free from unnecessary tension. Ari had vocal decline in early 2021 after sweetener era she started to sounds throaty there but now her voice got better since it's well rested.
Overall Tori wins but the gap is definitely very visible
I agree with your conclusion, but I think you didn't give enough credit to Ariana's upper belts/mixed voice and head voice. Her upper belts/mixed notes are mostly free, and she has a really great control and ease on them.
Her head voice is definitely as not full as Jona or Whitney, but I really don't think she needs one.. it's a great pop, light head voice. Her control, ease and consistency are really good.

Hi Ally Kelly would u updated about Lily, Ningning,Monday,yechan and Yunjin "consistent range" (lows,belting,and headvoice)
Cause I saw some random comments in saying Lily is consistent with D5/Eb5 in belting and full G5 in headvoice. With Ningning is consistent up to C5/C#5 in belting, Monday is consistent up to B4/C5 in belting,Yechan is consistent up to C5/C#5 and lastly Yunjin, who's consistent up to Bb4/B4 in belting with G#5 in headvoice. Even someone says that Lily's headvoice is stronger than yunjin since she still engage with chest muscles which for me is kinda iffy and doubtful.

i agree with everything you said my love but i’m sorry i respect your decision whole heartedly, but ariana has great head voice and far from mediocre, the control she has over her head voice is noticeable when she was singing bad idea live . and for the belting i feel like you could have used better clips of ariana grande singing . although her belting isn’t as powerful as tori’s it’s technically better than tori.

Vocal range: C3-B5-E7 (4 octaves and 2 notes)
Range with the most consistent quality, comfort, and technique: G3-C#5/D5-G#5/A5
At best: F3-F5-C6
Lower register: (7/10)
Low notes are bright and clear and have a good projection up to G3 consistently and F3 at best. Quite surprising for someone with a high tessitura considering her high sitting voice. However, she loses consistency, projection, and becomes airy and weak F3 and below.
Mid-belts and mix: (7.5/10)
Mid belts are surprisingly strong for someone who frequently utilizes a heady mix in her belts. Her approach in her mid-belts during her later years (2019 - ) is more balanced compared to her honeymoon era (2014-early 2016) where her approach is more heady and dangerous woman era (late 2016-2017) where her approach is chestier. She has good control over her mid-belts and it is more balanced, consistent, accessible, and more tensionless than people assume resulting in an open, free, well-projected, and controlled sound consistently especially from G#4-D5.
Upper-belts/mix: (7/10)
As a soprano like her, her ease and control in this area are good. She may not be the very best and the pinnacle of upper-belting out there, as some of her diehard fans tend to believe, but her consistency and stamina in this area is no joke. Although not consistently, she produces the best and balanced quality from Eb5-F5. As she goes higher beyond F5, she tends to sound thinner but still often avoids straining and too much tension up to G#5 (her signature upper-belting/mix note). However, she loses consistency when she reaches A5 and above which can sometimes be prone to tension, although this doesn't happen much as she was still able to possess a decent quality up to Bb5 especially in her be my baby and breathin performances most of the time. This ease and consistency in her upper-belting range is due to her heady approach with her mix and mixed-belts. Nowadays, she utilizes a more balanced approach (balanced head and chest mix) to her upper-belts/mix especially in her thank u, next and yours truly era. This balanced approach is evidently showcased especially in her sweetener tour and 2023 yours truly 10 year anniversary live performance where she produced a decent but balanced mix.
Upper-register (head voice and falsetto): (7.5/10)
Contrary to popular belief, Ariana utilzes her head voice just as much as she utilizes her falsetto. Her falsetto is probably one of the best that pop music has to offer. It is polished, smooth, controlled, and easily accessible. On the other hand, her head voice is also good and is consistently well-coordinated and connected up to A5. Performances such as moonlight, thinkin bout you, be alright, get well soon, and many more including song covers such as no one mourns the wicked and I wanna dance with somebody showcases her control and consistency in her head voice. She may not possess the best and most developed head voice in the music industry, but she can still keep up. Her head voice possesses a bright, strong, and roundness quality consistently up to F#5 and sometimes up to A5. However, her head voice can sometimes sound airy which limits her true potential. Further analysis with her head voice after the wicked (2024) movie will come out with her role as Glinda the good witch.
Vocal Agility: (7.5/10)
This may be the vocal skill she possess that has consistently improved over the years. She may not be as good as the best riffers out there like Mariah Carey, Tori Kelly, Beyonce, JoJo, and many others, but her vocal agility is definitely above average and is an integral part of her singing style. She can consistently execute vocal riffs and runs that are precise, fast, and complex with good creativity and musicality. The only downside is that there are few performances where she sounds pitchy and unstable and her vocal runs are sometimes repetitive. Lastly, during her early years, she tends to move her jaw a lot and fortunately, she got rid of that habit almost entirely.
Whistle register: (9.5/10)
One of the best whistle register user in her generation. Able to control her whistle with ease and is also able to create vocal runs and vocal phrases with it.
Vocal Dynamics: (6.5/10)
She has showcased vocal dynamics from time to time where she sang from pianissimo up to fortissimo. This is greatly showcased in her 2023 yours truly 10 year anniversary live performance. However, there are very rare cases of her showcasing crescendo and decresendo.
Vibrato: (10/10)
Her vibrato is one of the most controlled and well-developed that pop music has to offer. It can range from soft/subtle to aggressive/intense and can even shift to it smoothly. This great vibrato is also evident throughout all her register especially in her belts and upper-register.
Vocal transition: (9/10)
Able to easily and smoothly transition between registers from chest to head to whistle and with great control.
Pitch: (8/10)
Her wide vocal range allows her to hit high notes and low notes with good pitch accuracy. She rarely gets off-key and goes sharp/flat.
Note: this analysis is based on an educated opinion and knowledge about vocals and music. Hence, this analysis is based on what I hear from the vocalist's live performances throughout the years. So feel free to politely disagree.

Overall comment: She is not as bad as critics say she is and also not as great as diehard fans made her out to be. Her development is distributed fairly evenly throughout range with her mid-belts and upper-register being currently the most developed register. Her major weakness may be that she tends to sing beyond her range with the most consistent quality, comfort, and technique. Fortunately, notes beyond her consistency are rarely strained, tensed, or weak. Lastly, her biggest asset may be her whistle register, musicality/creativity, vocal transition, and vibrato.

I think Ariana is more polished. She seems to have more ease and consistency. Ariana is obviously more trained than Tori. Tori ,however, has better M1 and M2 development quite frankly. Tori also has better musicality and pitch.

@@allykelly and less overall tension issues across her entire range. If you watch Arianas tour clips, it is obvious she is more technical than Tori. Tori has received training but not nearly as much as Ariana. Ariana has been professionally trained since she was a kid.

@@allykelly Ariana arguably has a lot less tension than Tori. Even discounting belting Ariana has shown more refinement through her sheer versatility. I can't see Tori singing any classical genre with her thinner vibrato and chestiness. However, Ariana's voice fits a lot more genres which makes sense due to her immense training. So, Ariana is definitely more refined.

@@allykelly Actually, this has been spoken on by many experts. Jaw movement CAN affect you negatively if inexperienced and untrained, which Ariana isn't. In Ariana's case, it has no effect and shows to just be something she does out of satisfaction or to look good. Similar to Whitney with her vibrato.
