I remember I tuned in to Hak5 for the first time many years ago and the first episode I saw was Darren on pain meds drinking wine. I had since taken a break from cyber security and here I am returned 5 years later... and the first episode I watch again... is Darren on pain meds not drinking wine... yet. I love this host.
I hope you’re feeling okay Darren
Y3@h man feel better soon, hope everything goes well.
Thanks guys. I took some time off to focus on recovery and all the physical therapy is paying off.
@@DarrenKitchen So sorry to hear about your accident, Darren.
OMG, so sorry about your accident.
Darren :( Man wishing you a speedy recovery....mentally as well.
I thought so for a bit as well, but dude's just on pain meds. Once he gets into the groove, I can see good ol' Darren again. Had me worried there for a second. 6:50 onwards is just plain Darren as usual.
Wishing you a full recovery, I had similar rehab on my shoulder after a motorbike crash & surgery this year
Just got mine yesterday! It’s going to be extremely useful in my IT work!
Welcome back Darren! Glad to see you're doing okay.
I've wanted something like this for so long! Great idea, I can't wait to get my hands on one.
Damn dude, feel better. My daughter got hit by a truck 2 days ago walking home from the store. She was lucky in the sense she survived, but will have a long recovery
Is she okay now?
Congratulations Darren! That's freaking awesome. Hope the arm gets better soon
Oh man, I am so glad you were wearing your helmet! Glad you are recovering, I hope things go the best that they can!
Loving the SharkJack Darren! Get well soon! I've got several nets I need to secure...Shell in a SoC [SnS] is a *dream come true* !
Dam Darren, I'm glad you're ok!
Good to see you back Darren. And do the exercises the physio tells you to do very diligently. Shoulder problems do take a long time to heal so be patient.
Darren, I was worried, I'm really glad you're feeling goodish again!
What does goods mean?
I meant goodish?
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Darren. Thanks for all of your contributions to the pentester community!
Dude, sorry to hear about the crash. Got hit by a truck myself earlier this year and will carry the injuries for life as a result. Definitely endorse the message: Always always always wear a helmet and as much other protective gear as you can afford. I was kitted in kevlar head to toe, and if I hadn't been I'd not be alive.
Neat. I fell off of hak5 a while back. I'm happy to see you are at it. This is just neat in every sense of the word.
Get better soon! We need you in the community as soon as possible!
Hope you get better asap! Your an invaluable member of the tech community! Literally been watching since Season 1
Aww, thanks man - that's a really nice thing to say. I hope you have a freaking awesome weekend!
Aww man, welcome back Darrin. Yeah, I am always fearful when riding my recumbent. Glad you see you are doing good. Guess I have to start on new payloads now. Been busy.
Keep it shiny side up friend :)
Already got mine, awesomely tiny but hugely powerful, love it!
What do you yourself do with it?
Just got mine... Looking forward to playing with this over the weekend.
Awesome! Hope to see you on the forums :)
Hak5 customer service is hands down the best in the industry. Thank you again, Darren!
I wish these products had a complete end to end walkthrough. I’ve bought all the hak5 gear to play with. I love them all. The turtle was my least favorite but I enjoy learning with them
So glad you said it. I know I'm still pretty much a noob but same here. Packet squirrel was pretty straight forward but I still can't get the rubber ducky to work. And not 1 Hak5 sticker with my orders which is probably a good thing since Id look like a poser with a rubber ducky that doesn't duck rubber.
Nicky Bueller lol
Glad that your a live and that bike safety slow but speedy recovery
Mine is already in the mail! Glad you are recovering. Please do a video on the accident.
Enjoy, and thanks. Also - not really something I should share on until this whole ordeal is behind me.
Awesome work!
I wish you a speedy recovery
Holy Cow! Hope you feel better man.
Great to see ya!
already bought it, should arrive on monday :)
Spin Poi! Itll totally help with your shoulder recovery! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you're alright!!
I am really happy you are back Darren
Glad you’re still with us Darren! .......Be Safe!! We need our HaK5!! Papa Smurf😎
Get well soon, and be careful with the pain meds. Don't take them too long.
Glad to know your ok sir
OMG! It's been a little while since I've been here, and I didn't recognize Darren AT ALL! I was like "who is this new guy?". Wow. Just wow.
Baller, I like the idea of this, going to have to go and check it out at your store. Hope to be able to run into you guys again out at a conference.
Feel better man and awesome product. I’m not a linix guy (yet) but is there a way to use a raspi with your script and using the gpio pins as feedback led idk just a thought
Amazing!
may GOD bless you Darren Kitchen . and please make more new gears
could it be possible to have a payload on this to cycle through MAC addresses until it finds a valid MAC or range of MACs to spoof for networks that are MAC address locked?
absolutely - and I think that'd be a pretty simple payload to write using the included macspoofer utility.
Was wondering what happened, glad you are here and well. In London the number of adults cycling with children where the adults don't wear helmets and the kids do it doesn't set an example. It's terrible, but frankly if you can afford a bike but not a helmet don't get the bike to begin with. Should be a legal requirement to sell a helmet with a bike.
Darren, I've a payload I've used loads of times now with my shark jack and it's immensely useful. Though it requires the user to install some opkg pkgs... The actual "payload" just turns on services, the effort involved is in the setup. How would be best to package that for submission to the GitHub?
Darren :)
genius!!!
I've been hit by a car before on my bike. It was less than fun. Unlike you I was not wearing my helmet but I managed to NOT hit my head. I am glad you're feeling better and here's hoping for a pseedy recovery.
stay strong live long and prosper.
Get well man!!!!
Glad you're ok Darren.
I ordered mine a few weeks ago also i sent back the extra 39 great fet ones you sent me lol
The Chinese spies are going to love this thing as an additional tool in their espionage tool kit.
They already got it but instead of wireless broadcast it uses quantum communication
Great intro! Lol but seriously I hope you're good my friend!
Try "chi" for arm. Depending on quick study level you can
can it be used as a USB-C to Ethernet network interface ?
Love you Darren
How do you keep it charge , i charge mine and when i take out the charger the lights go off and it does not turn on. Thanks in advance
Does the USB port have data access, or is it just for charging?
Dang bro, glad you are okay!
Get well soon!
DARRENS BACK!!!
I really really like this one .. Would def like to hear the specs beyond a lightweight LinuxSoC ... Very curious what's going on in there, it looks just like a really dangerous car key , minus the key but it can unlock a Network no problem .. I have so many ideas for payloads , glad your okay , you should jump on some Motrin 800s , those painkillers are poison . Be well.
carefull with the pain meds man. seriously.
how much for the jack?
how soon can one get?
g
can this be used to grab the port information (stack/switch/port/etc) and vlan configuration?
Depends on if that's announced
Darren glad you are ok
glad you're ok
we missed you here man we need more payloads and content feom tou guys.
oh !!!! wheres Patrick?
I need one.. Do you ship to the UK? are there extra shipping fees?
Wishing you speedy recovery Darren !
Muhammad Farooq what happened to him?
Hey, I recently started learning networking, programming, and pen-testing. I notice a lot of your videos are over 5 years ago. If your guys could go over wireshark, burp suite, nmap and all the essential l tools again i would great appreciate it.
Udemy & a couple of older hak5 videos. I'm sure you can find some on Vimeo or way out there in the RUclips (Internet sphere)
It's safe to plug into a PoE with the battery enabled?
Hi Darren! Great work as always. I have a question. Do you ship these Hak5 devices to India?
We do not but one of our regional distributors may
Hi I’d like to see the shark jack have the ability to use some kind of selenium and chrome driver attack. Who’s computer doesn’t have chrome
Any plans for the Screen Crab to go on sale for a bit? Its the only Hak5 device I still need...
I hear Black Friday is coming up soon :)
Where’s the cute girl?! :) Seriously though, what happens when that internal battery goes bad and can’t accept a charge? Is this a standard battery we can replace or what?
Good question
Keep your shiney side up Darren, cagers are loco!
Is this product can get static IP address?
Darren on pain meds, take a me back to what? Season two? Where he punched the set?
Those first few seasons are so nostalgic for me, I still go back and watch them from time to time.
Glad you're ok!
Likewise. Thanks for the well wishes. It's been a wild ride
I'd love to use it as a port tester so when I'm out in the various parts of my organisation, plug it in, reads the switch port information and send an email with a report of said port
Totally doable. Topknot on the Hak5 forums just posted a payload that does something similar, emailing a report containing nmap scan results and all sorts of other logs.
@@DarrenKitchen I think I just found this year's Christmas present!
What about running a network map from it?
Does it charge off of POE? Any plans for this in the future?
No immediate plans, as POE would increase both cost and size immensely - and at the end of the day for this use case I feel like USB is a better fit.
@@DarrenKitchen Do i have to be careful with passive POE or does it detect and survive this?
If it needed to be installed long term I bet you could homebrew a POE charge adapter.
Try a raspberry pi with a poe Hat.
Is this going to work better than the LAN Turtle for example? Because the modules on that thing never worked. I had more success completely recreating it from the ground up on a Raspberry Pi type device.
why it is not available worldwide? only US-EU-AUS
Hping3, tcpdump would be awesome!
Get well soon!
Normally this would be a sure buy but I still have a crash-on-boot Pineapple Mark V here that I can't seem to rewive :(
This would be so much more cool (and dangerous/intimidating) if there was a PoE version that didn't rely on a battery (that can run down). Yeah, an enhanced version with a micro-SD slot and PoE, then there are "real" possibilities :)
I thought the same or that the computer could charge the SharkJack unit. What is profound is that the linux shell is inside. Plus, cloud situ. Bravo guys 👏👏. You made me feel like Project Hummingbird will one day come to life.
It NEEDS an SD card slot IMO
from the promo video I think it had Bluetooth so you could use that to push files to and from your phone maybe...
What about the Radioactive Rubber Ducky? ;)
Glad you're okay!
Viper Drive by Atlas, it's state of the art.
Power over Ethernet support?
Is it legal to do this on your own network ? I mean if my provider sees this i wont get busted. Sorry for bad english
I dont know if you will see or respond to this but why isnt the clip for the port not metal or reinforced by metal?
You mean the cap, or the jack itself?
Gute Besserung
Danke!
First video just want to say glad your okay that sucks bro
Damn Darren. Did the helmet break? Either way make sure you get a new one now.
Yes, the helmet was fubar - so of course I tossed it and got a new one. For anyone unaware reading, if you drop a helmet it's compromised and must be replaced.
@@solchapeau6343 unlikely, but it is possible for a single drop from any height to compromise it for a second, harder hit
@@solchapeau6343 not quite. It's always considered best to replace any helmet which is dropped. Though it's your head, so if you value it less than the cost of a helmet that's on you.
There is no way of telling if the inner expanded polystyrene is "uncrushed" without destructively dismantling the helmet. A dent is a dent. I've flipped my motorcycle over a fence, Landed straight on my head and ended up with concussion for days afterwards.
My helmet's polycarbonate shell was perfectly intact. Polystyrene interior was also intact and unblemished under the removable lining.
@@DarrenKitchen In not sure if it's still the case, but some of the bicycle helmet manufactures wanted to see helmets from crashes. Might be interesting to see if your helmet manufacturer would be interested in your helmet to see what happened in real life...
Great

CDP and LLDP info would be great
rdub and Topknot on the Hak5 forums are working on just such a payload, and as it turns out lldpd is available in the repo so this should be pretty straightforward.
@@DarrenKitchen 👍I've been a fan since 2009!
get well soon
The helmet saved my dads life
Glad he's ok. It's true - helmets save lives. I can't believe there are some states that don't require 'em for motorcycles.
Using two of these devices, you could see if different ports around a building are on the same LAN/VLAN - call it Marco Polo
Bingo
