Norm from Norman’s Rare Guitars has been unloading some stupid rare/desirable/expensive gear as of late. With how new guitars are being priced, the time to buy is now.
Norm's prices are pretty stupid, too. But he as everybody knows, knows you can't flip any mid priced used guitars now - the market is DEAD leaving only the older foo foo stuff; but bring lube if you go see Norm. I just bought a MINT used Gibson Monkey SG, Plek'd, case, case candy, tools, birth photo etc...$800 off new; and that's not even "mid" priced !! I have a 2022 never used mint Epi LE '58 Korina w/Gold hw and same mint virtually unplayed crystal white Epi SG Muse push/pull pots - not ONE nibble at about $11xx for BOTH guitars.Tough crowd here in LA. LOL I think the people that blew Covid money on guitars thinking they would play are flooding the market and if you wait another year prices will fall even more on $500-$2500 level guitars - used. 👀 🎸
@@cataclysmicconverter maybe so yet I would think being into guitars as he is he would at least be familiar with those playing the brand. He may not know their music but should know their names. JMO However I'll still watch daily as most instruments he shares are interesting.

I mean, I have his sig on a golf disc from the Trio days but I wouldn’t really expect anyone to know it if they saw it.
Adrian Belew is the shit. Dude has played with the best of the best in ever genre, and in a lot of cases, my favorite records from the iconic band he’s playing with…What do Talking Heads, Frank Zappa, King Crimson, Nine Inch Nails, Cyndi Lauper, Paul Simon, William Shatner, Porcupine Tree, and Bela Fleck & The Flecktones all have in common? Also, is there any guitar duo who is better than Fripp and Belew? Definitely not, maybe there are probably a handful that are as good, but it’s going to be a pretty small handful
His work touring with the talking heads is some of the coolest stuff I’ve seen done with a guitar in someone’s hands. I’m from Boone County KY where he is from and went to highschool!!
some autos I see Eric Johnson, Al Di Meola, Vivian Campbell, Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, (back) Warren Haynes, Dickey Betts, Steve Morse, Ace Frehley, Steve Vai, Johnny Copeland.
I have heard Guitar Store Dealers complain for past twenty years that every year there are fewer guitar players. Maybe the current recession is making guitarist collectors nervous?
Nobody looked familiar on that Sones?Al DiMiola? Adrian Belew? Bo Diddly? Eric Johnson? Those were only a few I could make out. Might want to do a little more homework…
The Gibson The V has my favorite style headstock for a V. Not a fan of the overly pointy ones most of them have. They should make one of those style headstocks with the multi binding like the customs

I would probably get that modded '61 SG Custom and try conducting one additional modifications to it, configuring it for the same type of pickup selection as some of the budget versions from Firefly or Harley Benton that provide you with volume controls for all three of the pickups. I would not care about the absence of the pickguard since I'm a finger player myself. That is something which I take a little too much pride in.
