Everything else was just like a small business type store, most of it was like t-shirt printing or a beauty salon. The building itself was basically a huge circus tent. The restaurant was so good they had to move out of the Mall into an actual restaurant because they got super popular. Another restaurant had to do the same thing, a Steakhouse type restaurant that was in there. Best seafood ever. Never tried the steakhouse.
I miss eating the PPMall Chinese food court food that i used to work at. Their food quality standards there are higher due to mall regulation so the food were much better plus every owner have their food quality standards. Still miss their food for the passed 14 years. I've been to many great restaurants but there was something special about my old boss's food..
We had a spot like this in my home town in SoCal, cheap packed plates for 4 bucks in the early 2000s 6 bucks 2010s and closed recently but plates were 8 bucks, we knew it wasn’t the best quality but it was cheap plentiful and the owners treated us good so it was a spot no matter how dry the rice (usually wasn’t because the community kept it busy) was. Just meant for everyday people that might not make to much.
There is a hack for the undone fried rice: Place fried rice in a ziploc bag; sprinkle little water in the bag, but don't add too much; place the whole bag on microwavable-safe cover before placing it in the microwave; heat it up for 2 minutes until done; the bag is hot, so be careful when handling the hot bag; finally, either scoop some rice with the big spoon and place it in the bowl or plate or you can pour the fried rice in the bowl or on the plate.
