Since the snippets first released, Waist has always stuck out to me. There’s a real kick in the song that makes u want to get moving and that’s a great sign. It’s just annoying that MGP is so competitive this year cus I would love to see Ella in ESC 😭
This song is honestly fine for me. It has a very unique production, I love the sound of the vocals, her vocals are good, it sounds really energetic, I love the bridge which gives the song an Brazilian (probably) spice, the verses are great like the build, the chorus is a little underwhelming though, it is very generic honestly, I could easily see this blast at a disco or a party, I am actually kinda interested to see how this will be performed and honestly overall this song is fine. It has redeeming qualities to it but to be honest it is kind of a bit over-produced to me. It is definitely respectable but overall it is not really my jam. I can see the hype for this song but to be honest it is not really my jam at the minute. It is right in the middle for me, a 5/10 tbh.
To use the old clichee: This is not my style. But it's a well crafted song, and if it was an entry in my country, I would vote for it. With the level of the entries we see in Norway, I don't think this will go far.
