  • Hi everyone,
    hope this tutorial was helpful.
I simply used melted white chocolate, to create spheres using this silicone mould. It's very easy to use, and it takes a couple of minutes to harden in the freezer, or a bit longer in the fridge.
I painted the planets using edible lustre dusts mixed with rose spirit.
After I coated the cake with navy blue, I let it chill, before applying the planets, so that they don't slip off.
I use a hot surface to melt the bottom of the spheres, so I can stick them easily to my chilled cake.
Splatters of silver and glitter is always a good idea in galaxy cakes!
I cut all my toppers using my Cricut Machine.
    Get creative and have fun!
please don't hesitate to ask any questions!
thank you so much for watching!

Thank you! If you notice at (9:20) in the video, i showed how i melted the bottom of the (half spheres) and directly added them to the chilled cake, that's how they stuck. However the sun on top (full sphere) i added a skewer to the cake, then again melted the bottom of the sun, both to make a whole, and to make it stick to the cake. So the purpose of the skewer is not to let the sun move around if it detached from the cake.
I used Pro Gel Navy Blue by Rainbow Dust (it comes in a tube).

Hi, yes you can use gel food colouring mixed with rose spirit or any alcohol based to form a paint that can actually dry.
