Hey Nerd, I think you got the cargo and hitch swithed...Squirrel! :)
I thought the same thing. Jeez this thing has a lot of tongue weight...and almost no cargo capacity. Wait a minute...
@@SinisterMD 🤣
Yup. I did a triple-take on that before looking up the brochure to verify…whoops!
I did
Get rid of Dinnet and put in theater seating or trifold. And swap out the toilet to porcelain. Otherwise, awesome camper!
Agreed, folding tray tables can always be used
Was really Excited until no other seating options.😢 Hubby and I want to sit in total comfort watching TV..
Bad backs are not comfortable sitting for hours at a booth. Keep searching!!!
Dude - bunks on the super slide. Nice. More of the smaller off-grid, lightweights should incorporate this. Makes so much more sense than the coffin bunks crammed between the bathroom and non-slide wall. Beautiful.
I agree I thought it was pretty handy
*Hey everybody! Looks like I mixed up the cargo and hitch weights in my chart. And as you noticed the bullet point list is blank. Sorry about that. I am going fast to get you lots of content and had a couple slips I guess.!*
We have the 2021 and that bunkroom is now an office. I love it!
I sure wish there was a silverware drawer. LOL
I love the pantry/coat closet. Must RVs don't have a nice spot for coats and such.
I watch a lot of these videos and I still love this layout.
Agreed. This thing is great
Specifications for tow hitch weight and cargo capacity are switched. I can't find the trailer on your website.
If it’s not on our website, then we’re probably currently sold out
Once again, I am BEGGING RV manufacturers to install 120v outlets IN the Pantry/Closet (ploset? clantry?) so that things like battery chargers for 18-20v hand tools can be setup. Also one in the front pass-through storage.
It’s a really good idea
I love your straight forward videos and your enthusiasm
0:21 I believe you got the cargo and the hitch weights reversed. One of the thing, is the cargo capacity approximately 1000 pounds difference or was that just a typo? 😅#nerdherd
I did I got them backwards. Sorry.
Would be perfect with either a theater seat or a din-ofa, and I would definitely spring for the porcelain toilet upgrade.
I think so too
Josh. Is there any chance you have the cargo, and the hitch weight, reversed.
There’s a 100% chance
Interesting layout but I'm thinking the new hidden room trailer from Salem is a true game changer.
Josh your chart at the beginning is showing a little over 800lbs of cargo capacity and over 2000lbs of hitch weight.
Someone goofed LOL.
That someone would be me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@JoshtheRVNerd 🤣
Saw one of these a couple months ago in southwest Florida...that hidden bunk room is great. The kitchen counter space is great. But the lack of seating options and not outdoor kitchen were deal breakers...
I'm 59 seconds in and I already recognize this floorplan. Years ago ( 2018 ish ) Vibe had this same layout. As I remember, it didn't go over well so it was pulled. See if you can dig that model out of the archives !
24x I think
Again...I love this...just add a towel bar in the bathroom. I can live with the color scheme. Storage is AWESOME!
Love it!!
That FBI plane is still circling over Josh!
Josh, I think you swapped the hitch weight and cargo weight. That or trailer hitch weights have jumped the shark and we all need to start looking at semi-trucks. ;)
I did sorry. I got distracted by the FBI plane.
Josh - Another great video but a couple of production points: Your "Quick Highlights" bullet point list is blank...All bullets, no points!! Also, you listed the CCC at 806 and 820 lbs, when the GVWR and Dry Weight clearly indicated it should be much higher than that! You did mention in the vehicle that it had a 2,000+ lbs cargo rating, though. I do like that the kitchen sink is at a more gradual angle than the sharp 'left turn' that you find in most similar floorplans...it appears to create a bit more counterspace.
Yeah, sounds like I need to slow down sorry. I think I mixed up the hitch and cargo weight.
@@JoshtheRVNerd I did notice the tongue weights were over the top, but I don't typically look to closely at those.
#NerdHerd 🎉 I received my NerdHerd stuff today and it's just what I was expecting. 😊😊😊❤I think you got the cargo and hitch mixed up.
I did 🤦🏻♂️
That bunk room wall was such a surprise! 😮
I love the butcher block look countertop ❤
I agree I really liked it
Love the super slide and the bunks actually get some real air flow! Appreciate the colors not being all white. Had a North Trail and it was good quality but I preferred the bigger cabinets with a queen bed
👍🏻
Highlights and things to consider didnt show.
Yeah I missed them Sorry.
At 1:48 you are missing the highlights and things to consider...
Yeah, apparently I forgot them
I have a 202224 bhs. The main difference is the single slide vs the super slide. I did change out the king mattress for a queen. It afforded us more room on the sides of the bed. I would love to see your review of the North Trail 24 bhs. I think you'll like it.
This one? m.ruclips.net/video/N4eiMDvYTiE/видео.html
FYI Josh, I think you reversed the cargo and hitch weight stats just so you know
Oh, is that what's going on here!? I actually stopped the video and was going to move on when I did a quick calculation in my head and realized that, with a full tank of water, and propane, you'd only be able to put about 400 pounds of cargo in a 30 foot trailer?
I did thank you
Good Ole, forget the quick highlight bulletins, Josh. 🤦
😆 😂
I'm just picking. All your videos are awesome and you sure do crank a ton of them out! I love watching!
🤦🏻♂️
Love, Kalispell. Have driven through Bish’s RV store before. We were out to glacier national Park 2years ago. This one’s a little too big for me and my husband. We like the little smaller RVs around 25 footers.
It was really nice
Also nothing on the 30 vs 50 amp service and additional air?
Apologies I do not have an answer. Our local team members can dive into that for you thankfully.
I like the different bunk models coming out now but I would love to see a new review of the 26dbud and the changes that they made for 2023 from the one and only RV Nerd 😁
The Heartland website says dealer stock only on both models... they discontinued?
I’m not sure. I’m not really in tune with her updates quite yet. It might be changing or evolving. Not sure
If i could get it under 25 ft that would be awesome.
When it comes to original they take the cake! This looks perfect for a family. 👍
Yes it does!
Is the hitch weight right that got posted on the video? 2500 lb??
See the pinned comment. I mixed up the hitch and cargo weights I think.
I really wish they had the cubbies behind the bedroom cabinets flanking the bed with outlets in them. Im very much digging this! I like the dinette and you could just sit sideways to prop feet up on the seat. Also, if watching tv while eating or playing a game everyone gets a decent view of TV. I do wish that the tables could be larger or perhaps expandable would be the word, cuz i know why they are the size they are to make the din-a-bed. Keep up the awesome work Josh!
That would be cool!
1:45 nothing good or bad about it. Nice.
It's the old Forest River Vibe 24x where they took the back TV/couch area and turned it into a bunk room. Quite frankly, get rid of the bunks and put in a nice set of theater seats, and its a very good couples coach.
Pretty close
Love most of this one, but I really love our camp kitchen, not a fan of two sewer hookups, and lack of windows on the camp side
Fair. It’s not for everyone
Finally!!!!!! Great cover of a wonderful and unique rv. I love the build quality of North Trail and have seen their models hold up well and fiberglass look really good after years of hot sun. So I really like this model.
They use to offer a griddle on a swing arm do they still offer that? And I think you are right about the ladder? Do they offer 50 amp service? I hope they can bring standard solar to all the models. Nice to see they updated the solar prep to 30amp. The east coast models in 2022 were only prepped for 10 amp controllers which would handle about 200W panel.
The rear grill griddle thing is phasing out I think
They should give an option of an office set up instead of the bunks
And that could be amazing
We have the 2021 and that's exactly what we did first! I love my office.
#RVNerdHerd roll call!!!! I got my RV Nerd hat, t-shirt, & sticker today🎉
RVNerd tape that was used to seal the delivery box needs to be for sale too Josh!!!! Nice Surprise 😊
Wait… There’s nerd tape?
@@JoshtheRVNerd YES SIR, the RVNerd tape was outstandingly strong, very durable, & extremely fashionable. Honestly, I would by a roll of it RVNerd Grandmaster!!!
If it has 50 amp and second ac, i would love this!!!
Love that rv and how the buck room is that's cool there is one slide thank you josh
I thought so too. Thank you
I like seeing these unique bunkhouses. This one is cool and the 24View was super cool!
I don’t know if I like the 24 or 29 better
You are in my home town at the Dealership I bought my first travel trailer
The tv is perfect!❤❤❤😂
😊
This is a very interesting design and it's pretty awesome for families. Only issue i see is the super slide uses cable and that is known to mess up on people at the wrong times. I guess we'll see
I like to consider the interior volume of campers with the slides out, can you add that number to your stats?
I cannot, as manufactures do not provide that measurement
@@JoshtheRVNerd How about square footage x ceiling height?
Hey Josh is it a good idea to open the slide with the trailer hooked to the tow vehicle?
As long as the RV is pretty much eyeball level, you can get away with it
Thanks Nerd
This could be in the top 5 , I really dont feel the need for a camp kitchen . I like the super slide with the bunks 👍👍 .
Ty
This one sure is unique. You’d be hard pressed not to offer someone this as one to look at if they want a bunkhouse… even if they didn’t come in to look at it exclusively.
Some “I likes”:
- I like it’s “oversized” axles and it’s overall “oversized” build. 2” walls gives me good vibes for a strong sturdy RV. I could never see putting 2500-3000lbs of extra weight in there.
- I really like the king bed. The short queen looks puny compared to it.
- I like the behind the tv hide-a-pantry and all it’s space!
Some “I wishes”:
- I wish it had more options on seating. Lots of space yet you get one u-dinette. I’d happily take a jackknife or trifold with a stowaway table.
- I wish it offered more convenient storage in the bunk area, not an area where my kids would ultimately dump EVERY SINGLE PIECE of clothing clean or dirty.
It may not be for me, but it is definitely a contender for neatest bunkhouse!
Thank you for sharing all of this
Heck yes love the idea. We hate ( and hate a strong word) curtains on the bunks
LOL, you just had empty arrows for pros and cons 😂
Not the first time, unfortunately
This unicorn has potential👍but it’s mind boggling why they wouldn’t give their customers an “option” to sit in something other than an uncomfortable dinette😢
It's a king bed!!!
@@Cowboy47That's awesome👍I watched the entire video and I swore he said camp queen. Must have gotten confused when Josh said you could change to a true queen, because people rarely downsize😂
@@stevez340 we get used to hearing that it's a camp queen when it's different we are all in shock 😲 lol
I had the same thought about that dinette. I hope they consider it for the future.
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINALLY!!!!!!! I've been waiting for this one ever since it arrived at the dealer.
Glad to be of service
Lose the Dinette , lower the television and tootsie toaster if possible then add theatre seating.
Nice unit .
Love the kitchen …
Great idea!
Love that tv!!!
Awesome ty
Uhhh, I think you have the cargo capacity and the weight at the hitch reversed in the stats at the beginning of the video?
Am I correct?
Yeah got them backwards
Oh no, there were no points to consider at 1:45. Is that a commentary on this model? 😉
🤦🏻♂️
On the "Numbers Chart" you flipped the Cargo and Hitch weights!
I did thank you
Nice review 👍🏻
Hey uncle josh could why they stop putting covers on the top of the slides
I don’t believe they ever did it standard. There’s some areas of the country where those things are not really good for the RV. Like Highwind zones. The most manufacturers don’t force them.
This stokes the RV fire 🔥
🔥
I like the creativity. The bunks in the slide are cool. However, there are a lot of things that would prevent me from buying one. I appreciate you pointing out no camp kitchen. That would be a deal-breaker for me. Separate drains for the sink and the bathroom would be a pain. The biggest of which would be getting on your hands and knees to drain under the slide. Even though the front storage is massive, I would like a storage compartment near the rear to keep my water, electric, and sewer elbow closer to where it would get hooked up. And, although there is a decent closet behind the TV, it seems to lack a lot of interior storage, especially for kitchen items. It also lacks a lot of storage under the front bed, and the bedside closets are tiny. It seems like our old 28-footer had more interior storage. We would also need theater seating or some sort of sofa. We found that needing the U dinette to take on all of our lounging needs on top of meal needs got old after a while. I feel that you can get a dinette and sofa in other models of the same length.
Thats nice
Thx
Kalispell! I used to live there!
It was really beautiful as the time I was there. But I can imagine the snows could be awful.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Naw, compared to Minnesota, not bad at all. One time there was a snow "storm" and I had an appt with a mechanic. I blasted through the drifts and showed up on time and they were shocked. Apparently every other client cancelled that day. But not this Minnesota girl who didn't think it even qualified as a "storm." LOLOL
Cargo 800lbs, hitch weight over 2000lbs, WTH? Is the info in the beginning correct?
Looks like hitch weight and cargo capacity got flipped.
It looks like that may be a typo. Everything I found points to that being the cargo capacity and the hitch weight is 806.
You just need a 1-ton dully to pull it😂
I mixed up the hitch and cargo weights. Apologies.
We currently own the Heartland Mallard M260. We don't need a bunkroom, and I dislike how it takes away from the bathroom. I don't think this rig would handle a family of 4 because of storage limitations. Same old bedroom setup....how about remove bunks and add a slideout for the bedroom to include drawers. Nice layout for the right family, but hubby and I would prefer lux recliners with a foldable table.
The highlights & cons did not show up on the video
Because I forgot to put them in
Gotta have two doors. I’ll never buy one without two doors. These things aren’t easy to get out in emergency. It is a nice one though.
Fair enough thank you
Josh are the stats correct? 3208lb hitch weight? Or is it mixed up with the cargo capacity perhaps? …if so I wish I could say I’ve never made a typo before 🤦♀️
Mixed them up
U dinette is a dealbreaker
Artie Johnson says "Very Interesting."
Nice cargo numbers (if you flip them with the hitch numbers, cough, cough)
Yeah….
Great lookin Travel Trailer by Northtrail 😊😊👍👍👍👍👍 but I sure would like to see atleast an option for a camp kitchen 😊😊
That would be cool!
@JoshtheRVNerd
Thanks Josh, 👍🏻 😊
I think so too
cargo and hitch weights are backwards I assume
You are correct
Interesting for sure! Its a perfect length. Remove the bunks and its a great option for WFH, or using the bunk for storing bikes out of the weather. Not a fan of the booth, give me any type of sofa would be better.
Anyone have an idea on pricing?
Neither of the links are working for me.
I don’t have an idea myself. Sorry about that. Contact one of our North Trail stores, and they can get you some figures on this.
im I the only one who cant see the "highlights" at the beginning of the video?
this one is sooooo cool! just missing a cargo door :(
No that’s something I missed. Didn’t burn them into the video like I usually do. Just missed them
would put north trails in your top 5 manufactures as far as quality ?
Not at this time
@@JoshtheRVNerd I like the fact the [BOX ] -(frame ,chassis, walls and roof) is very good ,BUT the cabinets and furnishings are lacking (Finnish) correct?
Really like the overall design, but given that it is just shy of 31' and yet has no main area seating options beyond the U dinette, is a deal breaker. No biggie. It happens.
I get it.
Don't like cargo 24 but the other is great.
Which one comes out to the south
Depends on whereabouts
Like this lay out, wish it had a murphy bed no bunks😮wish weren't there..rest🎉
I was pumped until the heating.... guess ill keep looking.
Palomino has a similar camper.
Really cool concept. The dinette has to go. Should have a smaller TV and better toilet. But the absolute deal breaker is the sewer hookups being under the slide!
What's up with the Cargo/Hitch weights, hehe.
I think I flipped them
Soo cool! 4 feet too big, but sooo cool!
Wendy Zones, weatherperson and WKRP in Cincinnati
Lol wow that’s taking it back
its good they standardize the telescopic ladder as the one mounted and locked in place in the back makes it easy for criminals or theives to climb up and tinker around with your solar panels and so on
maybe even camp and put a tent and sleep up there
Are these no longer being made ?
Unsure if this model is still in their lineup. Lot of brands changing stuff around right now
IF they were to build this like rv slide, where you could occupy it regardless, open or closed no matter... and cut the kitchen counter on left back about 6 inches even, or make slide on that end about 6 inches shorter... this would have pretty much full travel use closed! (if you could squeeze in bedroom would still be tight even after doing that.. unless did both of them.) not really a HUGE modification to make, but harder than it sounds i am sure.. but if did those couple things, just a few inches here and there, rv rather than trailer rated slide, this would be fully functional either way, and still pretty comfortable if stuck inside.
Someone has probably already pointed out you got the hitch weight and cargo reversed on the graphic. Why do they build 2 different models with the east coast getting the fuzzy end of the lollipop? It's different, kinda cool, love the big pantry. Hate that the only seating is an uncomfortable dinette (ladies in the FB group I'm in drop it into bed mode, throw on some thick padding and pretty linens and make it a big lounge), they went cheap with the vents\fans and a plastic toilet. Something this long needs 2 ACs.
Maybe a time or two if you scroll through the comments 😉
Thank you for pointing it out
I think your cargo and hitch numbers are mixed up at 18 seconds Josh
Possibly sorry if I mixed them up
I think (hope) that the cargo and hitch weights were switched by mistake.
I did sorry
@@JoshtheRVNerd lol
Confused with the GVWR, cargo and empty weight? Something wasn't adding up
I listed the cargo and hitch weight mixed up. Sorry. Flip-flop the names and you’re good.
Nice interior colours.. Josh is 6' 2" in heels? OK. Nice cargo capacity
Depends on the heels lol
@:19 weights and measures graph shows low cargo and extremely high hitch weights. Later in the video you say 3k cargo capacity. Did you make a mistake on the graph? I almost stopped watching the video when I saw 800# cargo.
He did - they’re just flipped.
Those two numbers are backwards
🎉#NerdHerd
Oh, and my husband hates the two sections required for grey and black water.
I am struggling finding an RV to live in full time in a cold environment--suggestions appreciated
Depends on how cool. RVs are sometimes Tester down to 0° but that’s about it. There is no RV out there rated for “all weather” or any weather. This whole “four seasons” thing it’s just a marketing gimmick.
