Hell yeah, me too. All my pals are dead or in-cars-or-8'd so I'm kinda screwed. Since I started watching years ago, always wanted to K-swap something & giver a go. A nice, mellow 10, maybe 12 psi of man-made atmosphere on a totally stock motor (perhaps 20-ish psi on the last day...MUHAHAHA!)
Just like to say a big thank you and big respect to the people who bring parts and drive for hours and hours to deliver them to the races and a big thank you to all the local people in whatever town they are going through for helping out if the races need anything big respect to Kyle and the 1320 crew for bringing us drag week and Rocky Mountain week year after year

I have a 1989 YJ back in the 90s and 2000s and I used to drive it to Kelona over the Coquihalla in British Columbia at Christmas time every year with nothing but a bikini top on it and full-size doors but that thing did have one hell of a heater it was so fun driving it like that I didn’t put the hard top on it for years in a row sometimes and I drove that thing to work every day and if anybody is familiar with southwestern British Columbia it can rain for months in the winter up here so what that guy was doing in the jeep it’s not as bad as it looks I would rather do that than drive a short wheelbase race car with slicks on it in the rain

DSM's were the 1990-99 eclipse, talon and lasers which you could get a 4cyl turbo AWD except in the laser. Fun cars which break alot but can be made quick just not fast.

Living the DSM life! Fingers are crossed that they just make it through the week. I've owned 3 of the 1st gen, currently have a 92 Eagle Talon TSI AWD and I'll just say that you have to be a mechanic to own one. But also to be fair they are now in their late 20's 30's.
@@dondmon96 awesome! I had a 91 eclipse gs. It was so slow, but it also had the 1.8 sohc. I wanted a 1.5 gen talon so bad. Non pop up headlights.
@@rlikemoney Yeah I think the 1gb Talons are sexy as hell! I'm not sure which I like better between the popup or non pop up years though. I remember back in the day that NOPI used to sell all kinds of speed parts for the 1.8L DSMs. They had cams, intakes, turbo kits, headers everything over the counter so you didn't have to fab everything for yourself. I don't ever see me not ever having a DSM in my life unless something really bad happens which I'm not planning on. :-)
@@dondmon96 i definitely liked the non pop up lights better, maybe cuz mine had them i liked the other one better. Man, i wish mine at least had the 4g63. 4g63t was a wet dream haha.
@@dondmon96 i always liked the talon taillights better than the eclipse lights too. Thats one thing i did to that car was put the 92-94 talon taillights on the eclipse. There was a little thing in the corner that didnt fit, its been so long i dont remember what i did. Probably just cut it off. I used the eclipse center light piece.
Happy to see alex taylor Making some good hits in her 55 that they worked so hard on to get to race week! They were teying to make rocky mountain race week 1.0, but didnt finish in time, as well as no testing on it. Its not where they are wanting to be at a 7.70et, but she'll get it to the 6's soon enough! Good luck alex! It was a ground up build except motor and trans. Much love to the taylor family.❤
