Lesson 17: FAR Part 91: General Operating and Flight Rules
Part 91 is the section of the Federal Aviation Regulations that provides general operating and flight rules for civil aircraft. Whether you're flying a Cessna 182 or a Boeing 777, you have to comply with these rules. However, Part 91 rules are "non-commercial"; they generally don't contemplate that any compensation, or even reimbursement, will be paid for carriage of passengers or cargo.

A helpful acronym for the preflight information, NW KRAFT. Notams, weather, known atc delays, runway lengths of intended use, alternate airports, fuel consumption, T/O & L performance.
