  • Dealing with more pieces of crap than ever it seems :) A detailed look at a clean tote transfer system. No one said it was sexy job but it should be clean and organized.
    No Jimmy Rants this black tank video is not for you this time.
    Some random stuff goes on here such as camping,cooking, DIY, healthy eating and not so healthy eating. Until the Class C is purchased this fall anything goes.

    I have been looking all over RUclips for a video like this with the info I specifically needed for a pop up! So glad I came across this! Nice presentation with no BS and straight to the point! Great job!

    Thank you for the video. I appreciate that you took the time to explain everything so well. I bought a blue boy at a yard sale and apparently haven't been using it very efficiently. This helped me so much!

      +Janis Lindenberger Very cool Janis. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Its always nice know that an older video still has some usefulness :)

    Thinking of getting one of these this year. I have dual 30 gal. tanks on my hybrid, but I'm too chicken to use a blue boy for the black water tank. We seem to fill up the grey water tank a lot quicker, so I'd use the blue boy for that exclusively. FYI, I use Happy Camper powder in both tanks and use the black tank for pee only - go to the campground bathroom for #2. The first time I used this method in my current RV (at a full hookup site), after dumping and rinsing both tanks, I pulled off the hose and did a sniff test. To my surprise, the hose smelled like freshly laundered clothes - couldn't believe it. Thanks for a well put together tutorial.

      Happy Camper is the best..we used it for a 33 State🇺🇲/2Province🇨🇦 12000mile trip and no smell!!!

    We use our 32 ft. 5th wheel winters in Arzoa. We use a 15 gal. Blue Boy. It isn't hard to pull the handle then stop it to check how full your blue boy is. You quickly gain a feel for how much is in the tote without over filling. Our waste tank is approx. 50 gal. A 55 gal blue boy isn't an option plus, the 15 gallon is easy to handle.

    Interesting video. The only thing i would change is to put a see through elbow into the short line when emptying the black & grey tanks so as to see when it has finished and the flush has removed all the debris in the tanks.

      @BlackTopBoondocker  7 лет назад +1

      Awesome thanks I'm glad it was useful. Sometimes getting bigger is not possible due to weight management. My big RV is like 50g way to big and heavy for a single Blue Boy.

    Great campground... Do u know anything about getting there the week before it officially opens and having camp access?

    • @BlackTopBoondocker
      @BlackTopBoondocker  7 лет назад +1

      I know there is some extended season dates but I think its only during the end/Fall dates. Sites are usually available during the week but most weekend dates are filled months in advance.

    Great video! I was wondering how to find out the size of your tanks? We just bought a 1999 Komfort by Thor. I've looked inside in the cabinets for Specs and not finding anything. Thank you!

      There is usually a sticker on a door under the sink or closet. You could also contact the manufacturer and try and get the sales brochure and spec sheet. My RV is a 2000 and with the model number and year I was able to download the manual from the website.

    Our favorite campground only has vault toilets and no dump station. Has anyone figured a way to get a 200 lb tank to dump into a toilet? At 75 years, lifting it is out of the question

    • @BlackTopBoondocker
      @BlackTopBoondocker  5 лет назад

      Thats funny mine also. I also have the flowjet portable pump for larger tanks. this allows me to empty the tanks without lifting.

    I was on some website and they used the word Blueboy and so I went looking.
    I watch ONE other video and the guy was using a LONG ass hose and I said WHY?
    Then I see your video, and you did it Right. @4:00 WTH would you want to clean out any more hose than needed.
    @8:00 I would have reminded people to RE CHEAK YOUR CAP!
    When I saw that this was a 13++ min video I didn't want to watch. This was a good video on how to use a BLUEBOY. Thanks

      I need at least 20’ of hose when dumping at my house because my TT sewer/gray outlet is low. With the hose I can extend out to lower areas to resolve elevation issues.

      No smell at all actually. Might get a slight wiff now and then when dumping but its ever so slight. If it is raunchy you doing something wrong.
