I love NC and staff of loss but I have a hybrid DEX Int build because I like doing melee. I might not have enough to survive without respec into what you’re doing here. Which sucks.
Me beating this boss with Lightning first run, then Colossal, then bleed weapon, then sekiro style I'm sweating buckets attempting a mage build against this guy ty for this video clip

At first I wondered why he used the night comet when the Comet does more damage. Then I realized it didn’t matter what he used. He could have used the weakest thing he had and he still would have won. It is because he is a master of getting out of the way of any hits by this guy or any other boss. Oh, to be that good. My hats off to you.
Wow, I guess I rly should've just attacked him when he's slowly lifting himself up about to cast the slow aoe thingie , instead of running away. The Dmg is rly not that bad, especially if u stack holy res , and u can chunk him for a lot more than u take. What I rly wanna know tho'... is how the heck did you get him to just slowly walk towards ya a few times??? Is it like a thing where u can't be too far, nor too close? Cause I always had the vacuum pool then him going into a crazy ass gravity spell + melee combo whenever I tried to make space. I beat him with the Carian Thrusting shield + deflect hardtear thinking spell usage against him would be night-impossible.
I really feel so dumb for not trying magic on him, I was convinced Comet or Night Comet would do like 2 damage. I have 72 Intelligence, like I’m technically a mage build but I never mage any boss. The only magic I used were Dragon incants. Why do I never use my spells??
At last %25 of health Radahns reached his max. aggression from your spell spam😂 it does decent dmg! Its one of best spell ingame! Btw whats that sword skill used at end ??
Im abit confused here, you have no holy negation equiped, you have the magic scorpion charm equiped which makes you take more damage and vigor at 60, and Radans holy attacks looks like its doing so little damage, what am I missing here? Besides the physical combo all Radans spells dont take a huge chunk of health
I have Golden Vow and am still wearing decently heavy armor. I also used a crab meat for physical negation and the Opaline Hardtear for all negation up.

I've been fighting this guy for three days now, I've collected all the pieces of wood and soul ashes, I've maxed out my staff and I don't know what else I can do, this boss is over the top and annoying, he swings those swords in an unnatural way as if he came out of a Japanese anime.
I have the same build and wondering what I did wrong. I was only doing half the damage u r doing. Maybe because my int is at 70? Summoned no one. Both staffs in hand. Scadu upgraded to 19. All the talismans needed. Will try again on next playthrough. Probably wasn't buffed up enough. I literally changed my build to strength to beat him lol
@@AntoniKowal-y9w 2 Staff of Loss, they boost the power of Night spells. If you only have one I suggest using Carian Regal as your casting staff while Loss is in your off hand.
Doesn't work in NG+1, sadly (and I wasted resources to upgrade the two weapons for nothing), The spell doesn't do a lot of damage and even with summons, it just takes too long.
You don't need to upgrade both staves of loss to get the benifit of holding 2. NG+1 can make the dlc brutal yeah Get all the scadutree fragments if you haven't already. That will help you more than any build will.
80 Int, Magic Scorpion Tali, Graven Mass Tali, and 2 Staff of Loss is the equipment I have that boost my power. Golden Vow and the Magic Tear in the Wonderous Flask are also giving me big boosts, and finally my Scadu level is 18 here.

I’m using my RL 168 mage and let me tell you, this mf does NOT get out of my face. He didn’t let up whatsoever with attacks. All I can do is get a non charge cast off and I have to dodge 3-5 swings. Stage 2!is 3x worse. He teleports to me and swings while spamming his backg growth’s light beams 😅 I’m so disappointed Fromsoft went the cheapest possible route and made new bosses just spam attacks. Elden ring 10/10. shadow 6/10 o it because we get new fasion and better gear from the same first few bosses.And why do radahan swords suck worse than the first? 😅
Hundreds of videos out there showing how to dodge his attacks and hit him with people doing it at level 1 and no endurance. No disrespect you’re just not good at the game and that’s ok
OP of you want an easy way while still being a sorcerer, then use impenetrable thorns. It procs bleed like crazy and doesn't take too many casts to kill him
During the second phase it feels like it, sometimes you gotta commit to trading to get a spell off, like I intentionally got hit by the big holy explosion since it wont kill me and I have time to heal before he comes down.
Wow, that so stupid. I had to change builds because i just kept getting annihilated because i was using a Dragon communion build (Maw Hyper armor) so I had to use arcane weapons. I was feeling for mages those for 4 days i spend struggling on that damn boss
@@xxANBUxxWearing Azures Glinestone Crown, they do the same damage. Charged comet actually still does more damage vs a fully upgraded Staves of loss staff and night comet.

Night Comet does more damage and uses less FP when you have at least one Staff of Loss in your hands, if you have 2 Staff of Loss its WAY stronger than basic Comet.
What is your scadurtree level? I assume the magic scorpion charm extra dmg gets cancelled out by the scadurtree level right? Seems like you were able to tank quite well as my char takes more dmg than this without the scorpion charm

Thorns is still the best for damage. Throw in mimic with only golden vow and thorns and your melting his hp bar (Edit: this is my experience from NG+7)
Probably late, but here's my five cents. Make sure you've got Godfrey Icon, Magic Scorpion, and then probably Graven Mass plus Graven School for max damage would be my best guess. Golden Vow + Howl, and make sure that you use either Lusat or PoD in the main hand and Staff of Loss in the other. Off the top of my head, this is the best setup if you don't want any crazy buffing tactics, though Howl and Scorpion will make you take a LOT of extra damage, so go in with courage!

That's why night commet does. With any other spell the AI will instantly turn aggressive.

I play as a mage, playing on ng+4 I never damage him this much, so I opted for carian slicer and malenia incantation for dot damage
I was gonna switch to Slicer also if Comet didn't work out, but in the end I was able to do it with NC.

try respeccing to faith grabbing staff of the guilty and using impenetrable thorns

Honestly it was just luck when he does the slow walk, sometimes he is aggressive, sometimes he slow walks.

What's the consumable you are snacking on at the mist door?
Crab meat, gives you 20% physical resistance for a minute.
This was ultimately my strategy as well.

He's barely attacking you wtf! Mine is just non-stop attacking, no room to breathe or attack back. All I can do is roll and heal. It's horrendous.

He makes no attempt to dodge spells, so comet works just fine gor this fight

@avEn_12 mage is my favorite way to play, the darkmoon greatsword is also still an excellent option as is the Wing of Astel!

Thorns is still the best for damage. Throw in mimic with only golden vow and thorns and your melting his hp bar
