I've used your primer on several builds in several of my video's. The current video I'm working on, I used another brand of white primer, (I didn't have any MM white primer) and it did NOT go well. I sanded down the non MM primer and used MM gray and what a difference, came out great. I won't be using that other brand of primer moving forward. Just wanted to say thanks for a great product and I just ordered another bottle of grey primer. Have a great day. -David

What do you use to clean your airbrush after you are finished priming? I watched another video where you sprayed some mix into the cup immediately after you had finished spraying but I didn't catch what the mix was? Is it the same cleaner mix for the main paints and the primers? I can see the potential to save hours and hours that were previously spent taking my airbrush apart to clean after every single spray session! 😊

Hi Dougie , we use water and a little bit of Mission Models thinner to clean the air brush. Please also see out other videos for ab cleaning

Whatever you do, don't use lacquer thinner to clean airbrush afterwards. The primer will gum up all in your airbrush.

    Needle size? Air pressure?

Are Mission models acrylics non toxic because im looking for a substitute to Model Master acrylics since Testors discontinued the Model master paint line?

Mission Models paints are water based acrylics. We always suggest / reccomend wearing a mask or respirator when spraying any type of paint. You do not want to breath in airborne particals. This is up to each individual user

I just bought a Grex 2mm what size are you using for the priming. I’m thinking I need to buy a 5mm for priming. It’s my first kit and I am new at this.

I like the paints but I simply cannot get the primer to spray. I’m trying the red oxide and it’s just way too thick for this ratio. I’ve added drops of the thinner, changed needle sizes, bumped up psi. No luck. Once I finally got it thin enough to spray, it just scrapes off with the slightest scratch. Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong?

Man I’m struggling with the primer. It seems to dry up and clog my airbrush. I have tried different PSI and different mix ratios and it seems to have the same effect. Any ideas?

Best advice I can give is add more thinner maybe one or two drops at a time and crank up the PSI. Sounds odd, but it worked for me. I was thinning at about 10% but now am closer to 20% or more (basically instead of 2 drops of thinner for 20 drops of paint, I am now using 4 or even 5 drops of thinner for the same 20 drops of paint). Instead of spraying at around 10-15 psi I am now spraying at closer to 20 psi. Hope that helps!! This is tricky stuff for sure, seems unless you're using lacquer paints, airbrushing is just not nearly as intuitive.

I find that about 30/40% thinner and 20/25 PSI works for me.

6 Drops is not 6% of 30 drops.

I have your olive drab paint and have been experimenting with it on an M4a2. What psi do you recommend?
