Heading to Guatemala for a ten day backpacking trip inspired by you guys on Thursday! Thank you for the inspiration to travel outside the country for the first time ever :)
Austin P Hey this is Alex. I am so stoked that you are making the first step towards what will inevitable be an experience that will change your life. Definitely Lake Atitlan, Antigua (jungle party hostel - say hi to Monica for us) and Semuc Champey. Semuc Champey was my highlight.
This was a great video! Where did you get the footage from at 3:00 ? I'm wondering as it's from my small city of Haugesund, which only has like 35 000 inhabitants!
Amazing what you do guys! I'll watch all your movies. Please tell me regarding this video, can i take some parts of it and put me also in it as i will make a presentation to my city in unique way? I'll tag your profile
I was with you till Columbus who "discovered" North and South America as if no was there till he arrived. It leaves a distinct taste of your belief in Euro-centric/white supremacy.
I feel like you're well-intentioned, but yikes! A lot of these examples are really problematic because they're literally textbook examples of appropriation (and in the case of Columbus, straight up colonialism). They travelled to different countries, stole and then commodified those country's culture/traditions, and made huge profits all while the people native to these places and actually responsible for creating the culture struggle to survive. Like sure "discovering" America paid off for Columbus but what about the millions of indigenous peoples killed/displaced from their land?? Maybe choose more thoughtful examples next time.
I’m writing to you to let you know I’m Irish and I’m watching millions of non-Irish celebrate st Patrick’s day this weekend. I’m not complaining. Now kindly stfu.
great video! only issue is that Columbus didn't discover the Americas, native Americans did that.
3DGEM3 that's what I thought.
3DGEM3 From European perspective the Vikings did, but it's remarkable that Columbus did the voyage anyway having all the odds against him.
Useless nit-picking.
They miss the forest for the trees.
All the more reason to ditch school and experience real learning traveling the world!
