I've had the Gourmia 8 quart air fryer for over a year. Best value I could find and it has performed flawlessly. The bottom tray is held snugly by the silicone "feet" to keep it from scratching the bottom. I never use the tray as I use foil pies pans from pies as a liner. I had a big stack I saved over the years. I also purchased a set of stacking racks for my pressure cooker and use a pie pan and one or two of those racks stacked on top of the pie pan to make "one pan meals". Just make sure the food that can drip is on the bottom. The fryer keeps running after the time to cool it off and to vent entrained oils - stays cleaner longer.
I have had the Costco 6 qt. Gourmia for over a year. It works great for everything I have cooked from potato hash brown patties, baked biscuits and roasted whole chicken. For your hard to remove tray just bend the feet a tad. Also I purchased an extra tray from Gourmia. This fryer is a great buy!
This is a really nice guide for beginners not complicated at all, and most of all cheap! Before I watched this video I did the pizza but without toasting the bread first, it got really soggy but the toppings made up for it, now I will toast the bread a little bit before, thanks!
I bought the Gourmia from Costco on a Black Friday special, and it has been great. I cook all messy foods on a piece of aluminum foil and bend the sides up around the food without touching any food for about 0.25 inches, and it takes about one minute to clean up after throwing away the aluminum foil. IF I am cooking, e.g. multiple sandwiches that day, I just reuse the same aluminum foil since it maintains its shape.
That's what I do in my conventional oven Nancy - I like to call them my tin foil little boats. But being single, and with electricity prices going up daily in the UK, I am now looking at buying an air fryer. I am down to two choices - the Gourmia and the Cosori. The basket in the Cosori actually looks dated but people seem to rave about how useful it is, unless the handle snaps off... which seems a tad too common. Sorry, ranting away. Glad that I am not the only one making little 'boats' out of tin foil.
Cathy, you have taught me sooooo much. love youand your beautiful family. Two tips, add a little corn starch to watery sauces like teriyaki for more of a glaze on your meatballs. Second, microwave whole acorn squash for five minutes. Can do same for kobocha or butternut squash. Becomes easy to cut
I have that air fryer and it's so easy to use. I have made several meals and reheated some food in it. I have yet to find something I can't cook in it. It's large enough for 4 chicken breats.
Prices are crazy and my grocery bill has DOUBLED !!!!!! needed this right now to try and curb our spending 🤦♀️I did see Potatoes are super cheap right now $2.99 Canadian for 10lbs
Every time I watch one of your Air Fryer recipe videos, I'm SMILING the whole time and so HAPPY by the end, because I learned yet more YUMMY, FAST, AFFORDABLE & EASY recipes. I can appreciate the time and effort that goes into making these. Thanks loads for sharing then with us. Please keep them coming. Arlene
I bought a large Cosori as a Christmas present to myself and am just learning how to cook in it. I need to buy your cookbook as it looks like it has good practical recipes.
I usually use the basic veggies for stock carrots, onions and celery then sausage and potato! I received and won a gourmia air. fryer at work I wanted to see if it is a good one! Excellent cooking tips. Now prices have doubled but you can still save if you follow a routine
Omg thank you for your videos! I just got a gourmia 6 qt air fryer for Christmas my 1st one! I love it, and looking for tips, so thank you for your channel and videos. This is so helpful

Thank you for another inspirational video. With the cost of groceries we all need these ideas. Getting an AF was the best thing I did for myself and my family. I use mine every day and even my dogs are not upset about the beeps anymore!
I just received my Cosori Dual blaze air fryer . I am taking back my Gormia back to Costco since it rusted . I only had it a little over a month. I love it thank you so much for your great reviews.
I do not remember the last time i used my stove lol make regular every day meals in all my Air Fryers, all the time and my insta pot for boiling say pasta/rice or anything. Tried the breakfast and taco and oreo bombs so to speak from last video delish. Have a fantastic day everyone.
Your new kitchen looks absolutely amazing, I have branched out so much since your first challenge. My AF is used everyday. That AF is cool but i prefer the basket.
Glad you made this video, I just bought this air fryer at Costco this past week for $39.00, $10.00 off normal price. So far I like it better than the toaster oven type Cuisinart one it replaced. Great videos! love your energy
Any chance getting one of the toaster oven type Air Fryers vs the deep fryer type next time? Yes there are videos of them but I would love to see how you adapt your recipes to both one and two try Air Frying.
Thank you for that review! My Father's Day present this year (OK, so I bought it myself, but my wife picked it up at Target for me) was one of your Gourmia air fryer's li'l sisters, the Gourmia GAF556. I actually chose it based on Consumer Reports' favorable review of the larger GAF686 after learning that it has the same control panel and feature set that mine has, but the GAF556 is officially a 5 qt model, which I felt would be more right-sized for my family of 3. As of right now, I've used it twice. The first time was on Father's Day, to make French fries because, well, our daughter loves French fries, and her insistence on making them during the heat of the summer was one of the main reasons I wanted an air fryer. The second time was tonight, when I made chicken schnitzel, which came out beautifully without the mess that skillet or deep frying makes. (For those not familiar, chicken schnitzel is a variation on breaded, fried chicken.) I had plenty of flour & spice mix, egg and bread crumbs left over, and we had about 2/3 of a 1lb salami bullet in the fridge, so, inspired by some of your other videos I've seen, I decided to have some more air fryer fun with it. I sliced up the salami into a dozen 1/2-inch thick slices, breaded 7 of them, came up with temp and time estimates that turned out to be spot on, and made salami schnitzels out of them. They came out very tasty, and my wife came back for seconds even though she had eaten earlier and wasn't hungry. I decided I wanted the rest of the salami grilled, so I used my fryer's Broil function, set the time for 5 minutes and the temperature for 400F, and let 'em cook. I turned them at the halfway mark, but that probably wasn't necessary, my slices were a little thinner than chicken nuggets and there were only 4 of them in the fryer. But it was a good excuse to check and make sure they wouldn't overcook. Your observations about your Gourmia air fryer apply 100% to the GAF556. The basket is harder to pull out than it should be, and that bottom tray, which is the exact same design that mine has, is a little fiddly to put in and certainly hard to take out when the fryer is hot. (I have a silicone oven glove that should allow me to grip it by the center holes to extract it a bit more easily.) But otherwise, the fryer works well, it's very easy to clean, and I'm happy with it so far. Thank you very much for making these videos. They really help me get my creative juices - as well as the food's juices - flowing.
Hi Mark, happy father's day! Thank you for taking the time to share this review with us! The chicken and salami schnitzel sounds so tasty. I'm glad you are loving your air fryer :)
I want to “roast” baby Yukon Gold potatoes and yellow onions, with, hopefully, all getting caramelized. Do baby potatoes need to be peeled and cut, and how much sooner should they go in before the onions? If I don’t have a recipe, how do I determine what temp, and for how long certain foods should cook? Sorry…I’m a 72 yo non-cook who just got a 3.7 qt. Cosori (red!), and have thus far only used it for reheating. ☺️ But I’m ready to run with this Cosori!! Got your digital cookbook, but also want the hard copy you just showed. Thank you, Cathy! You have really inspired me!! 🙋🏻♀️
Loved this video, these were not new to me recipes but you made me think about using some of the small leftovers that sometimes go to waste in my house.
I have an older Gourmia from Costco - it does stay on even after it says off - i don't know why - maybe to cool down? And the tray on the older one has a metal ring to pull the tray out - wouldn't be a fan if you couldn't pull the tray out easily. Mine also doesn't have a shake reminder, but overall I'm pleased with it. Love your channel!
Hi Cathy!!! All your recipes today just look so...tasty. I will be trying them. Saving this and sending it to my children. They will enjoy this. Always liked the pizza 🍕 English Muffins. Going to make that one soon. Just want to say how much I enjoy your wonderful cookbook. Great video my sweet friend!!!...
Something cool Pro Hime Cooks does with a video of a few recipes, is he keeps one ingredient as a leftover from each meal to make a mystery final dish with all the leftover ingredients. It’s fun and helpful!
Hunt's Spaghetti Sauce is $1/can, and is delicious. I sautee peppers, onions, and mushrooms and add to it. Super cheap, super flavorful, and super easy.
I just bought the 8 Quart Corsori Air Fryer so now I have two. One for the main meal the 5.7 Cosori for the side dish. Can you show different ways to cook eggs .
Great recipes and ideas. I LOVE MY COSORI!!!! So glad I spent the money. I make toast in it all the time, just hit the preheat (400 for 5 min) and it is perfect every time.
I have learned a lot from you so, firstly, thanks. I do note that there seems to be a hell of a lot of “precooked” or processed food (mostly meats) over there … certainly compared to somewhere like France where you just wouldn’t see anything like that. Is that normal or is it just to show the easy nature of the air fryer ?
I have tried many oil spray bottles especially olive oil. Where did you get yours it appears to work very well? Do you have a link you can provide. Everything looks amazing!
Really enjoyed this video. Great inexpensive dinners. I am trying to decide on a air flyer. Considering costco gourmia since it is so inexpensive. Bigger than I would like. Appreciate seeing you using it.
The Gourmia is a good choice. One thing to think about is that with a bigger air fryer, you'll have more room to cook larger foods- like a rotisserie chicken for example.
I am cooking for just myself. ....and I do some traveling my in class B motorhome... SMALL! Really would like to find a good smaller one. .Sometimes I do cook a larger meal and freeze the leftovers for a few meals....but.... my little campervan has a small freezer.
You sold me, I am planning to purchase my first 2.2 qt Gourmia air fryer. This is definitely a useful kitchen tool for making side orders. No plans in leaving out the stovetop because fried rice is difficult to cook in a air fryer. 🧐😃
I have gotten hooked on your channel. I have an air fryer, but I just bought a cosori. In your cook book are all of the recipes done on the cosori? Thank you and you are awesome!!
Oh Cathy! The perfect kitchen gadget for cooking pasta in the microwave is the Fasta Pasta. $17 on Amazon...and worth it for the time savings alone. Never have to wait for the water to boil ever again! Perfect pasta every time whether you're cooking lasagna noodles or angel hair. P.S. Thanks for showing how to cook baked potatoes in the AF.
@@bridgetclement2968 For rice I have a Nordic Ware Multipot. 1C rice 1C water...3 min on high then 10 min on 30% power. Perfect every time. I think you could cook rice that way in any pot! The multipot and Fasta Pasta were recommendations from a Dump 'n Go Dinners cookbook.
Two things: I’m surprised you didn’t cook the pasta in your instant pot. Plain pasta is pretty simple in the IP, no draining required. The second thing is just a bit of advice: Step up your knife game! I’m not saying run out & buy Wüsthof Trident knives (although they are an excellent investment) but Amazon sells Mercer knives, which are used by many cooking schools for very reasonable prices. Personally, I’m fond of Asian style knives, & survived for many years with a Wüsthof 7 inch Santuku knife (best Xmas gifts ever!) as my only cooking knife. Dull knives are what cut you, not sharp ones.
The Air Fryer is my best friend! We have the Poor Man's Dinner (Sausage Potatoes onion w/ Montreal Steak Seasoning!) once a week lol! Throw an egg over it in the morning if you have leftovers! My Air Fryer died after 2 years. Gormia. So I bought a used on off Market place! Thanks for the ideas! 😋
I have the Gourmia 7 quart from Costco. I love it. I dehydrated orange slices that I used on Christmas tree back in December. I’ve also dehydrated mint.
Thank you for this video! Exactly what I was looking for. I was on one of your other videos i stumbled on while researching air fryers and was going to ask if you heard of these costco models and what you think about them..and then something told me to look up your other videos before commenting and sure enough landed here. Very informative and useful channel. Just awesome. Subbed!
Cathy can you put your book Yummy Air Fryer Recipes onto your Amazon page? Am in UK and have been looking to buy through Amazon. I spend so much time watching your videos I actually don't do much cooking!
The prices where you are blow my mind. The sausage would be $9, baby carrots $3, ground chicken $7, mozzarella cheese when not on sale $5, pasta sauce $2.50 where I am.
What do you think of the newest version cosori Duel Blaze 6.8 Quart air fryer. Getting ready to purchase one trying to figure out the one you have or this new one. 🤔
Yesterday, I just picked up this air fryer from Costco on sale for $39.99. Sale started yesterday. New subscriber to your channel here. Loving what I see so far and I just subbed today.
@@empoweredcooks I made a grilled cheese for lunch today in my air fryer. I made it per your instructuons....instructions.... was so good and definitely had the crunch when I cut it. You are demystifying the air fryer process and I think I am gonna love having and using mine. Thank you so much. I am hoping to get your cookbook soon.
Food prices vary throughout the states. I can tell you that food is not that cheap in California. She must be in the Midwest or somewhere like that. People don’t typically buy their groceries at Walmart here. I don’t even have a Walmart anywhere near me.
My Gourmia air fryer handle broke off. I replaced it with the one you have been using it for your demonstrations because the basket is replaceable. Gourmia has no replacements. The motor still works and I keep super gluing it on. I like the Cosourl..
I'm flipping excited! Just found your channel and so excited to share share share you already! 😀 subscribed and watched and liked a 2 videos already! Just found ya 20 minutes ago lol Love your energy!
Hi Cathy! I came across your channel by accident, but I am glad that I did. I have watched some of your videos, because I am considering buying an air fryer. What would be a good one to buy? Also your recipes look great and fast.😊
Hi Carol! I have this buying guide video that you can take a look at- ruclips.net/video/6WEDw_AmuKI/видео.html and this one too- ruclips.net/video/u-NazbwDZb0/видео.html. I've been a fan of the Cosori air fryer for a couple years now, so its the one I normally recommend to everyone. Although if you are looking for one that costs less, the Gourmia air fryer that I tried in this video does a pretty good job.
Hi Denise. You can get my cookbook at yummyairfryerrecipes.com and then you can get the temp guide by putting your email in here: bit.ly/air-fryer-tips
Hello mrs. I really want to buy the gourmia air fryer. Do you recommend me to buy this one? If you let me know, it's really appreciate that. Thank you.
Enjoy your channel! I also have the Corsori! I can’t seem to get even 1 medium Hasselback potato to cook through in the time you give for 5. Takes way more time & then ends charred! Any suggestions please! 😊
not video related - Hi Emma, I have a good friend who lives south of you, in Gosnels. She told me you have earthquakes there as well (I am in so Cal). I never knew that! :)
Great tip, thank you!
I have that same model. Love it!

IF I am cooking, e.g. multiple sandwiches that day, I just reuse the same aluminum foil since it maintains its shape.

Woah! Thanks for sharing, I'll have to check it out!
Right , I can’t wait to make baked potatoes now ! 🎉
I just got something similar to that Gadget from Walmart for $10. Can't wait to Use it. Waiting for Same type of Gadget for RICE.
@@playinatlife5778 Cool. I'm gonna have to look for that Cookbook
In my Gourmia I have made a whole chicken it turned out great.
I'm also a Mercer fan.Great knives for the money. 👍
Mmm tasty idea! Thanks for sharing!
Bought the cosori. How do u adjust temp when that temp is not available???
Just go to the closest temp that you have to choose from.
If you take off the little rubber bumpers on the rack it is much easier to get in and out.
That’s the model I have - after watching your channel I’m thinking of getting the model you normally use and handing down the Gormia to my daughter.
I have the Gourmia 7 quart from Costco. I love it. I dehydrated orange slices that I used on Christmas tree back in December. I’ve also dehydrated mint.
Great ideas, Veronica! Thanks for sharing!
Was that a dawn dish soap foamer for your oil? Might have to repurpose one for that
Bought your Air Fryer Recipe Cookbook, can't wait for it to get here!!! And always sharing your videos with people!! :)
Awesome! Thank you!
Love them All so Simple!!!
i have done loads more cooking since i did the airfryer challenge thanks cathy 😀
I'm so glad!
Subbed!
Awesome! Glad to have been helpful!
Cathy can you put your book Yummy Air Fryer Recipes onto your Amazon page? Am in UK and have been looking to buy through Amazon. I spend so much time watching your videos I actually don't do much cooking!
I''ll buy 2 if she puts 'em on Amazon 😁
Haha! We are hoping to get the book on Amazon soon!
The prices where you are blow my mind. The sausage would be $9, baby carrots $3, ground chicken $7, mozzarella cheese when not on sale $5, pasta sauce $2.50 where I am.
Wow!
What do you think of the newest version cosori Duel Blaze 6.8 Quart air fryer. Getting ready to purchase one trying to figure out the one you have or this new one. 🤔
I have a review coming very soon on the Dual Blaze!
Thank You🙂
What is the name of your oil sprayer? I’m learning so much…thank you!
My current favorite oil sprayer is a Mistifi oil sprayer, I got it from Amazon - amzn.to/3Msi9m8
Yesterday, I just picked up this air fryer from Costco on sale for $39.99. Sale started yesterday.
New subscriber to your channel here. Loving what I see so far and I just subbed today.
Welcome! And thank you for the sub!
I’m amazed at how cheap food is there! In Australia turkey mince would be at least $10!! Thanks so much for the air fryer inspiration!!
Food prices vary throughout the states. I can tell you that food is not that cheap in California. She must be in the Midwest or somewhere like that. People don’t typically buy their groceries at Walmart here. I don’t even have a Walmart anywhere near me.
That air fryer goes on sale in a few days, 10$ off in Costco March coupon book!
looks good hey see about airfryer /oven combo ever test those?
My Gourmia air fryer handle broke off. I replaced it with the one you have been using it for your demonstrations because the basket is replaceable. Gourmia has no replacements. The motor still works and I keep super gluing it on. I like the Cosourl..
Try Gorilla Glue super glue for plastic. I got it at Lowe’s. Excellent results, should work well for your Gourmia handle.
I'm flipping excited! Just found your channel and so excited to share share share you already! 😀 subscribed and watched and liked a 2 videos already! Just found ya 20 minutes ago lol Love your energy!

Hello!
YummyAirFryerRecipes.com!
Please show more recipes using the gourmia. Where did you get that cookbook recipe is that made for air frying specifically?
You can get the cookbook at yummyairfryerrecipes.com

Thank you.
This is a great air fryer for the price. I know people have shared that they love their Gourmia.
@@empoweredcooks thank you.. 😃
Some great air fryer meals. xxx
where did you get your parchment paper with the holes to fit in the air fryer?
Amazon - check it out on my amazon page - airfryertools.com
Enjoy your channel! I also have the Corsori! I can’t seem to get even 1 medium Hasselback potato to cook through in the time you give for 5. Takes way more time & then ends charred! Any suggestions please! 😊
Have you tried parboiling it like I did in this video?
@@empoweredcooks Thank you! Will try!
Nothing beats the air fryer! 😉
Love the ideas it will be interesting with the prices in Perth W.A.
Let me know!
not video related - Hi Emma, I have a good friend who lives south of you, in Gosnels. She told me you have earthquakes there as well (I am in so Cal). I never knew that! :)
